Bryant was raised in Buenos Aires Argentina from the age of 4 years old and grew up in the Argentine culture of Folk Concerts and Social events. At the age of 14 years old began learning Argentine Folk dance and studied untill the age of 19 when he was introduced to Argentine Tango. His learning began in Milongas like "Club Almagro" "Club Grisel" "Club Sunderland". Throughout his carreer he worked on developing himself through the Tango Salon elegant style known today as "Villa Urquize Style". He has been influence by Tango Maestros like Roberto Herrera & Vanina Bilous, Osvaldo Zotto, Jose Lampaso, Juan Carlos Copes, Carlos & Rosa Perez, Fabian Peralta. He currently travels abroad to teach and perform to the USA, Argentina, Chile, Bermuda and China.
Faye has a rich background in the performing arts. Upon graduating from the elite Montreal school of music--Vincent d'Indy, followed by a stint at New York University's renowned affiliate CAP-21, she completed her training at the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts in Toronto. Faye was introduced to Argentine Tango in 2000 and has become one of Canada's leading exponents of Argentine Tango.
Bryant & Faye are traditional argentine tango dancers who's styles derive from the milongas of BsAs. While maintaining the authenticity of traditional tango of the golden age they bring their own interpration of the current times though feeling and connection which is the most important aspect of their dancing. They continue to develop themselves through the embrace, the expression of the music, the elegance of their walk and a sens of carrying the tradition, the essence of the culture of traditional argentine tango. They are the organizers and hosts for El Congreso, Canada's International Argentine Tango Congress, as well as the directors of the Tango Soul Argentine Tango Academy in Toronto, Canada. Tango Soul performs on a regular basis in Argentine Tango and arts festivals in North America, South America and Asia.

About Faye’s Ladies Tango Weekend
This weekend was created in 2009 when I realised that most of my learning and changing as a tango dancer had been acquired by taking several private lessons and attending women workshops in Argentina. I realised that that’s when it clicked. That’s when I got it! That is also when I realised how much time. I was teaching lot of “women’s workshops” because of a high demand and finding that I was restrained by time. It wasn’t enough to offer 1 workshop, there was to much to cover in too little time. I thought,” if I was starting tango right now or at a phase in my learning where I really felt I needed specific direction what would I dream of having?”And this is how the Ladies Weekend was born. A full weekend of tango immersion just for the ladies! The weekend is built as progression which is why it is meant to be attended as a whole, as you would a retreat. It’s a place where you can let down your guard and grow as a women & tango dancer. All questions are welcome! I am especially excited to have Luna Palacios as featured Milonguera with us this year. Not only is she an incredible dancer and teacher but she is humble and very approachable. It’s going to be a special weekend! You have to experience it for yourself to understand. The Tango Soul Argentine Tango Academy was founded in July of 2000 in Toronto, Canada. The authenticity of our teaching attracts people of all walks of life who find at the Academy a family environment where they can learn at their own pace.
About our teaching
Our teachings techniques are the same as those taught in Buenos Aires; the walk, the connexion and the embrace are the foundation to our teaching (which is why we don't offer 12 levels) . The man leads and the lady accompanies as an equal in the dance. Since no two people can feel the same, tango reveals itself in a different way in each individual. We encourage our students to find their own "style" which should come naturally and is not made up or copied from any instructor. Musicality and gentleness go hand in hand in keeping the harmony in the couple. Figures flow out of improvisation and the woman uses embellishments in the cadencias. Though we use figures during the classes the focus will always remain on the foundation, the connexion.
We focus on creating a friendly environment so that our students feel stress free and are able to relax in the dance in order to grow better.
Every year we bring in different Maestros from Buenos Aires to teach in Toronto such as Fabian Peralta, Carlos & Maria Rivarola, Carlos & Rosa Perez, Daniel Nacucchio & Cristina Sosa.
At Tango Soul Academy you will not be told what is Argentine Tango but encouraged to discover it yourself. We hope to have the opportunity to share part of the journey with you!

Bryant Roberto Lopez
Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, B.A. was brought up in Argentine Folk. After dancing for 5 years he discovered tango at the age of 19 and has since then immersed himself in Argentine Tango. Brought up in milongas like Club Almagro, he learned to dance by watching Master Milongueros. His dancing is recognised by an elegant walk and a soft embrace which he believes is the stamp of a true Argentine Tango Dancer. Teaching through the connexion, like the masters, has been his best tool in helping his students develop and assimilate the culture of Argentine Tango at Tango Soul.
Faye has a rich background in the performing arts. Anthony Fajardo
Anthony Ian Fajardo was born in Manila, Philippines and came to Canada at the age of 21. He started taking formal dance lessons in March of 2006 and was introduced to Argentine Tango in June of 2008 under the Tutelage of Bryant and Faye Lopez. He quickly fell in love with the Tango salon style and has since focused on learning and improving himself. In August of 2009 he performed together with Tango Soul Production at the Canadian National Exhibition showcase. He joined Tango Soul in September of 2009 to teach the absolute beginner’s class.
Davood Yazdani
studied the Argentine tango first with Marika Landry in Montreal and then with Bryant and Faye Lopez at Tango Soul Academy in Toronto. Davood began teaching Argentine tango at Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario in 2008 and has now developped a community in Brockville. He is also a guest instructor at Tango Soul Academy. A passionate teacher, Davood is dedicated to inspiring students to dance Argentine tango with feeling, musicality, and connexion.
