Matt and Lisa – Hoping to Adopt

Matt and Lisa’s dream is to adopt a child, and their free website is designed with the purpose of fulfilling that happy dream. In an image-rich, text-rich website, Matt and Lisa introduce themselves and their respective histories, their home and their extended families. Their homepage is clean and minimal, and contains only a few elements: A large, visible logo; navigation links set in a full-width toolbar along the top, and another, smaller menu with chosen tabs in the footer; and an image slider on first view, which can be navigated manually with back and forward arrows. An elegant transition effect is used to navigate between the different pages. The relatively text-rich pages, like “About us”, “About Lisa” and “About Matt” are accompanied by relevant images and social media buttons for quick access. The “Gallery” page displays photographs of the couple in a thumbnail grid-styled portfolio, with linkable images on hover to provide visitors with an enlarged version of each photo. The “Say Hi!” page provides Matt and Lisa’s email as well as a customized contact form so visitors can contact them quickly through their site.
