Projeto Legal
Since 1993 the Brazilian Human Rights Center Projeto Legal protects children, adolescents and young people. Especially the human rights of those in extremely difficult situations, such as street kids or children from favelas (slums).
Projeto Legal, based in Rio de Janeiro, believes that every single human rights violation might be exemplary and able to provoke structural changes in individual lives and in society.
Projeto Legal helps and supports women and children in Brazilian prisons and stand up for the right to a free and healthy family life.
Creative Visions Foundation
Hollywood-based Creative Visions Foundation is inspired by the life of Dan Eldon, an artist, adventurer and activist killed in Somalia in 1993 while covering the conflict as a photojournalist for Reuters News Agency. He was 22.
Since 1998 Creative Visions Foundation has helped transform bold ideas into action that will catalyze sustainable social change to impact the world around us.
Gelmini & Maresch:
"Creative activism is a form of expression to raise awareness and make people value things that are often taken for granted.
We also want to show that there is hope in a desperate situation and provide a platform of expression for the women whose lives we are showing."
