The mission of the Symbiosis Chamber Orchestra is to create a musical environment to large audiences throughout Southern California. Our young and virtuosic ensemble focuses on enriching culture with a unique chamber orchestra experience and musical outreach for the community.
Promoting 21st century composers and drawing prominent classical soloists to this conductorless ensemble in Southern California are just some of the many on-going developments that SCO commissions.
In addition, the Symbiosis Chamber Orchestra's missions is to reach out to growing musicians. SCO is comprised of young and talented musicians in Los Angeles. Every member is committed to delivering and sharing music in education.

Clarinetist Andrew Leonard has soloed with the Pasadena Pops, the Torrance Symphony, and performed as a prizewinner of the Redlands Music Festival and Peninsula Music Festival Young Artist auditions. He has also performed on 3 continents with artists as varied as Helmuth Rilling, Hilary Hahn, John Williams, Tony Danza, and John Rutter. In Los Angeles, he works with The Midnight Wind Quintet and continues to build his career and reputation in film and TV recording. This year, Midnight had their New York debut on the Schneider Concert Series, and they're recording a major work by David Rosenboom for New World Records in early 2012. A New Jersey native, he began his clarinet studies with Andy Lamy of the NJ Symphony and Alan Kay at the Julliard School’s Pre-College division. Andrew received a Bachelor of Music in clarinet performance in 2005 at the University of Southern California where he studied with Yehuda Gilad and members of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. As a passionate educator and advocate for Los Angeles's musical future, Andrew is on the teaching artist faculty of Harmony Project, the Education Through Music LA, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic

Listening Alive: The New Music of Los Angeles
The Symbiosis Chamber Orchestra, Synchromy and Music on Argyle are three organizations that promote exciting new music for and from Los Angeles. Symbiosis, a conductorless group of young virtuosic musicians is joining in a collaborative effort with Synchromy and Music on Argyle, two organizations of Angeleno composers set on the creation of new and original music. Enjoy a program of new works written in 21st Century Los Angeles, promoting new music and live performance and community for this great city'’s thriving art culture.
