SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON PAINT HORSE CLUB
2012 Year End Award Rules
GENERAL RULES
1. To qualify for a SWWPHC Year End Award:
a. Owner(s) or lessee(s) must be a member of Southwest Washington Paint Horse Club.
Member must attend at least four general membership meetings or chair a club committee
pre-approved by the Board of Directors.
b. Member must work a minimum of 4 hours at the SWWPHC’s annual horse show or
other club fundraiser pre-approved by the Board of Directors.
c. Member must complete and return SWWPHC year end award declaration form.
d. All owners, lessees and riders of declared horse must be in good standing with APHA
2. All horses (except weanlings) must be registered with APHA.
3. All NWCC and SWWPHC shows will count for SWWPHC Year End Awards.
4. The Year End Awards will be awarded at the SWWPHC Banquet in February of 2013.
5. Horses and/or riders must show a minimum of 2 shows and 4 judges to qualify for SWWPHC
Year End Awards.
6. Ties will be broken in the following manner: The horse or exhibitor accumulating equal
points but showing the least number of times will receive the award. If this is equal, the horse
that places over the other horse the greatest number of times will be declared the winner.
7. High Point and Reserve Hi-Pt Awards will be awarded in areas where the horses or riders
qualify.
8. The top two horses that earn the most points/credits during the show calendar year will be the
year’s high point and reserve high point earner for that category and the award will be
awarded to the horse’s owner/lessee.
SWWPHC BREED POINT SYSTEM
1. Must complete and return NWCC Declaration Form
2. The show season will be the same as the NWCC Show Season.
3. Performance points will be awarded according to the NWCC Point System.
4. Halter Points will be awarded according to the NWCC Point System.
a. In addition: Grand Champion will have two more points than the winner of the largest
class. Reserve Champion will have one more point than the winner of the largest
class. (This can also be found in the NWCC Point System Rules)
5. Exhibitor Reports must be completed and sent to the SWWPHC point keeper within 30 days
of the show date to count for year end awards.
SWWPHC PAC POINT SYSTEM
1. The show season will be Jan. 1, 2012 thru Dec. 31, 2012
2. Performance points will be awarded according to the APHA PAC Credit System.
3. Halter Points will be awarded according to the APHA PAC Credit System.
a. In addition:Grand Champion will be awarded 2 pts, Reserve Champion will be
awarded 1 pt.
4. PAC Reports must be completed and sent to APHA as well as the SWWPHC point keeper
within 30 days of the show date to count for year end awards.
5. Ties will be broken in the following manner: The horse or exhibitor accumulating equal
points but showing the least number of times will receive the award. If this is equal, the
horse that places over the other horse
