Provence Presents are a collection of home-made, unusual and useful gifts for everyone. I have been creating items for 5 years and sell at the French markets in my area but decided it was time to let the world know about my ideas.
All materials used are locally sourced from Provence and in some cases there is recycled content. I make and design them all personally and as can be seen from my 'Products' section some of the items can be personalised with names or a theme choice.
All the bags can be complimented with matching accessories eg. pouches for all size spectacles,sunglasses, i-phones, i-pods, mobile phones, make up bags, small wallets etc.
No two items are the same and fabrics may vary in colour and design.

About me
I was born & educated in the UK but at aged 18 our family decided to emigrate to South Africa where I have spent most of my life. After several years as a Secretary and in Marketing, I then taught myself to sew,paint,create and design different kinds of gifts to give to friends until I was approached to make soft furnishings for children and baby's nurseries. Subsequently I branched into larger items like re-covering terrace furniture and making curtains etc. It was whilst on holiday in the Cote d'Ivoire that I decided to try my hand at making fabric handbags having seen some ideas in the markets there - I expanded my range of bags using ethnic fabrics which were sold in the tourist shops in Johannesburg - from here, my little cottage industry expanded into a lucrative little business.
38 years on, we decided to leave South Africa to buy a small hotel in SW France which we successfully ran for 3 years, it was hard work as we did practically everything ourselves including running the restaurant on the premises. Sadly I had no time to continue doing my creative crafts.
We now enjoy semi-retirement amongst the olive trees and lavender of Provence where I can once more spend my time doing what I love the most - creating gifts to remember.
