The Wish Pearl is an all natural cultured pearl developed in an Akoya Oyster in the South Seas. It goes on an amazing journey from the start. From the insertion of the irritant into the oyster to the many years for the oyster to coat the irritant with nacre and produce a stunning pearl and then to be harvested, packaged and then it's wait to be opened and cherished forever. The Wish Pearl takes a minimum of 3 to 5 years to develop and at maturity can be as big as 5 to 8 millimeters in diameter. No two pearls are exactly the same. Akoya Wish Pearl Oysters are only one of several hundred mollusks that develop pearls and but it's quality of size, roundness and luster are what makes it qualify as a Wish Pearl.When opening the Wish Pearl, a wish is made from the person who recieves it. The person then enjoys and carries the wish with them either as a necklace, keychain, bookmark, cellphone dangle in a specially designed cage. The color of the Wish Pearl will reflect one of the six beautiful shades, each representing a special meaning: White for Health, Cream for Success, Gold for Wealth, Pink for Happiness, Lavender for Love and the rare Black for Luck.The Wish Pearl Oysters come specially shrink wrapped, and can be opened right away or kept in a refrigerator for up to a year before opening. The oysters are not alive and they do not smell upon opening them. The pearl itself must be "dug" for within the oyster's sac where the pearl grows. Each oyster is X-Rayed prior to sale to ensure a pearl has indeed grown within. A gift for others or a gift for yourself, this trinket will surley hold many memories for a lifetime.
