On Sunday the 17th April Simon will attempt to break a World Record which has stood for 20 years.
Guiness World Records TM have now formally accepted Simon's application to attempt to break the current record for "Fastest marathon carrying 40 lb pack".
The fastest marathon carrying a 40 lb pack is 4 hr 42 min 44 sec and was achieved during the London Marathon, UK, on 21 April 1991.
The Record is twenty years old this year and Simon fully intends to break it and bring it home to Doncaster......
