• Overview

    With the Wix Online Store you can turn your Wix website into an online shop in minutes. It's simple, the results are beautiful and we don't take a cent of your sales!

    This is a Premium eCommerce package feature. You can try it out for free in the Wix Editor but to start selling you'll need to upgrade to the Wix eCommerce package. For upgrading instructions, click here.

    Please note that the Wix Online Shop is compatible with Internet Explorer (version 9 and above), Firefox, Chrome and Safari.

  • Adding the Wix Online Store

    An online store is made up of two basic parts: a product gallery and a shopping cart. To add an online store to Wix, you will first have to add these two pieces to your site.

    Adding a Product Gallery

    To add a product gallery:

    1. From the left side of the Editor, click the plus sign to open Add.
    2. From Add, click Online Store.
    3. From Online Store, click Product Gallery.

    4. Click Add to Page.
    5. From Choose Collection, click the drop-down menu to choose a collection. Click OK.

    You can add more than one collection to your site by repeating Steps 1-5.
    Click Manage Store to open the Wix Store Manager. You will be able to edit all of your online store content at any time from the Wix Store Manager.

    A product gallery appears on your site.

    Adding a Shopping Cart

    To add a shopping cart:

    1. From the left side of the Editor, click the plus sign to open Add.
    2. From Add, click Online Store.
    3. From Online Store, click Shopping Cart.

    A shopping cart appears on your site.

  • Managing Your Wix Store

    Clicking Manage Store inside the Wix Editor opens a new window which contains your Wix Store and allows you to fully control your collections, products, options and inventory settings.

    If you already have an Online Store, you can also access the Store Manager by going to My Account > Manage & Edit SiteOnline Store tab > Manage Store.

    From the Wix Store you can add and edit your products and determine what information will display when one of your customers views your product pages. When a user clicks on a product in your product gallery, a product page will open. On your product page, you can provide your customers with detailed product descriptions as well as add up to ten images and up to twenty product options!

    From the Wix Store, you can also connect your store to your merchant account.

    To manage your store:

    1. From the Wix Editor, click your product gallery to select it.
    2. From the pop-up, click Manage Store.

  • Replacing a Collection on Your Page

    You can replace the collection that appears on your page with a different collection.

    To replace a collection on your page:

    1. Click a product gallery.
    2. From the pop-up, click Choose Collection.
    3. From the drop-down menu, click a collection from the list.
    4. Click OK.

    A different collection appears on your page.

  • Adding an Add to Cart Button

    You can use an Add to Cart button to turn any object on your page into a product that a user may purchase! When a user clicks on the Add to Cart button, the product will be added to the user’s shopping cart.

  • Adding a View Cart Button

    You can add a view cart button to every page of your online store to make your customers aware of how many items they currently have in their shopping cart.

    To add a View Cart button:

    1. From the left side of the Editor, click the plus sign to open Add.
    2. From Add, click Online Store.
    3. From Online Store, click View Cart.

    4. From Link to Cart, click the drop-down menu and select the page of your site that your shopping cart appears in.
    5. Click OK.

    The View Cart button appears on your site.

  • Adding a Thank You Page

    Redirect your to buyers to a Thank You page after a purchase is completed.

    You must add a shopping cart to your site before adding a Thank You page.

    To add and customize a Thank You Page:

    1. From the editor, click the shopping cart. Click Settings.
    2. Click Add a Thank You Page.

    3. Edit the page to your liking.

    This page is a standard site page within your editor and can be edited regularly.

    A Thank You page is added and customized.

    This page is hidden from your menu.

    To delete your Thank You page, follow the same steps as if you were deleting a standard page on your site.   After deleting a Thank You page, your buyers will be redirected to the home page after a completed purchase.

  • Adding Coupons to Your Store

    You can now create coupons for your buyers and add them to the Online Store.

    Please note that if you created an Online Store before January 24th, 2013, your Shopping Cart may not support the new coupon feature. To use coupons, please delete your old shopping cart and checkout button and add a new shopping cart by going to Add > Online Store and clicking Shopping Cart.

    To add coupons:

    1. From the Wix Editor, click your product gallery to select it.
    2. From the Product Gallery property panel on the right of the Editor, click Manage Store.
    3. From the Store Manager, click the Coupons tab.

    4. From Coupons, click Add Coupon.

    5. From New Coupon, under Name, type a name for your coupon.

    The name of the coupon will appear in your buyers’ invoice and shopping cart after the buyer adds the coupon.

    6. Under Code, type a coupon code.

    Your buyers will use the coupon code to get your discount.

    7. Under Discount, type the percentage or dollar amount that will be discounted from the purchase.

    Coupons will only work for a buyer when the coupon value is worth less than the value of the product that they are applied to.

    8. Under From and To, add a date range during which your coupon will remain active.

    Check the box next to Unlimited to give your coupon an unlimited date range.

    9. Under Coupon Limit, set the total number of coupons available for use.

    If a buyer attempts to use a coupon after they have run out, the buyer will receive a message that the coupon is no longer valid.
    Check the box next to Unlimited to keep your coupons unlimited.

    10. Click the toggle to move between Online and Offline.

    A coupon that is offline cannot be used by buyers.

    11. Under Notes, if relevant, type notes which will only be visible to you.
    12. Click Save.

    Your coupon is added to your store.

    Click the coupon to edit it.
    To delete a coupon, check the box next to the coupon name and click Delete.

    When you create coupons and add them to your store, your buyers will have an option to add and apply the coupon code in the Shopping Cart. Once a buyer enters the code and clicks Apply, the code is verified in the server and the discount is displayed as part of the cart calculations.

  • Setting a Shipping Rule

    If you have set up shipping options from your merchant account, you will need to remove those settings before modifying the Store Manager shipping settings.

    To set a shipping rule:

    1. From the Wix Editor, click your product gallery to select it.
    2. From the Product Gallery property panel on the right of the Editor, click Manage Store.
    3. From the Store Manager, click the Shipping tab.

    4. From Shipping, click Add Shipping Rule.

    5. Under Shipping Destinations, click the field and click a country to select it.
    6. Click the field again to add another country to this shipping rule.

    To add a rule to a specific state within a country, where applicable, click the name of the country that you added to the field and select a state or states from the list.

    7. Under Price Range, add a price range and type a fee to charge for this price range.
    8. Click Add Range to add more price ranges to this shipping rule.

    9. Click Save.

    A new shipping rule is added to your store.

    Add more shipping rules by repeating the steps above.
    To set your shipping rules by Weight Range instead of Price Range, from the Shipping tab, under Shipping Fee Calculation Method, select Weight Range from the drop-down menu.
    You can also add a handling fee by typing the fee in the Shipping tab, under Handling Fee.

  • Setting a Tax Rule

    If you have set up shipping options from your merchant account, you will need to remove those settings before modifying the Store Manager shipping settings.

    To set a tax rule:

    1. From the Wix Editor, click your product gallery to select it.
    2. From the Product Gallery property panel on the right of the Editor, click Manage Store.
    3. From the Store Manager, click the Tax tab.

    4. From Tax, click Add Tax Rule.

    5. Under Destination, click the field and click a country to select it.
    6. Click the field again to add another country to this tax rule.

    To add a rule to a specific state within a country, where applicable, click the name of the country that you added to the field and select a state or states from the list.

    7. Under Tax Rate Percentage, next to Tax Rate, type a tax percentage for the selected countries.

    8. Click Save.

    A new tax rule is added to your store.

    Add more tax rules by repeating the steps above.
    To include the tax rate in the price of your products, under Include Tax in Product Price, check the box next to Product price already includes tax.
