• Overview

    Showcase your images on your site with our various galleries. Each gallery displays your images in a unique way:

    Grid Gallery – designed to look like a grid or matrix.
    Masonry Gallery – displays your images in a cascading grid.
    Slideshow Gallery – displays your images in a slideshow format.
    Thumbnails Gallery – displays your images in a slideshow format with a thumbnail menu.
    Strip Slideshow – displays your images in a slideshow format as a strip across the width of your site.
    Slider Gallery – displays several images at once and allows users to “slide” through the gallery to see the rest of the images.
    3D Slideshow – displays your images in a slideshow with 3D page transitions.
    3D Carousel – displays your images in a 3D carousel.
    Animated Grid – a hybrid between the grid and slideshow galleries. The images display in a grid but the pages transition like a slideshow.
    Impress Gallery – displays your images in an Impress Gallery to create a powerful visual effect.

    Once you have added a gallery, add and upload images to it and customize your gallery from the Gallery Settings window.

  • Adding a Gallery

    Add a gallery to your site to showcase your images.

    To add a gallery:

    1. From the left side of the Editor, click the plus sign to open Add.
    2. From Add, click Gallery and then click a gallery type.

    You can also find the Wix Galleries in the Wix App Market under Galleries.

    A gallery appears in your Editor.

  • Adding an Image to a Gallery

    Add an image to your gallery from the Image Gallery.

    To add an image to a gallery:

    1. Click the gallery to select it.
    2. From Gallery Settings, click Organize Images.
    3. From Organize Images, click Add Image.

    4. From the Image Gallery, click an image or several and then click Add Images.

    To select more than one image, hold down the CTRL key and click several images.

    5. From Organize Images, click OK.

    Your image appears in your gallery.

    Currently there is no limit as to how many images you can add to a gallery. However, we recommend that you don't add too many images to a gallery as it might make your site heavy.

  • Uploading an Image to a Gallery

    Upload your images to your gallery from the Image Gallery.

    To upload an image to a gallery:

    1. Click the gallery to select it.
    2. From Gallery Settings, click Organize Images.
    3. From Organize Images, click Add Image.
    4. From the Image Gallery, click Upload Images.

    5. Browse your folders and select your image. Click Open to upload your image.

    To select more than one image, hold down the CTRL key and click several images.

    6. From the Image Gallery, click your images and then click Add Images.

    7. From Organize Images, click OK.

    Your image appears in your gallery.

  • Organizing Your Images

    You can organize your images easily from My Images in the Images gallery.

    Quick guide to organizing your images from the image gallery:

    • Add Folder to add a new folder for your images.
    • Click an image and then click the trash can icon to delete the image.
    • Drag and drop images into your folders to organize them.
    • Press CTRL and click images to select several. Drag the group of images into folders to organize them or click the trash can icon to delete them.
    • Checkmark Select All to select all of your images. Uncheck Select All to deselect your images.
    • Sort your images by Date or by alphabetical order.
    • Search for an image.
    • Roll over a folder to Rename or Remove the folder.
  • Replacing an Image in a Gallery

    Replace images in your gallery from Gallery Settings.

    To change an image in a gallery:

    1. Click the gallery to select it.
    2. From Gallery Settings, click Organize Images.
    3. From the left of Organize Images, click an image.
    4. From the right of Organize Images, click Change.

    5. From the Image Gallery, click an image or upload an image. Click Change Image.

    6. From Organize Images, click OK.

    Your image changes in your gallery.

  • Deleting an Image in a Gallery

    Delete images in your gallery from Gallery Settings.

    To delete an image in a gallery:

    1. Click the gallery to select it.
    2. From Gallery Settings, click Organize Images.
    3. From the left of Organize Images, roll over an image.
    4. Click the trashcan icon that appears.

    5. From Organize Images, click OK.

    Your image is removed from your gallery.

  • Reordering Images in a Gallery

    Reorder your images from Gallery Settings.

    To reorder images in a gallery:

    1. Click the gallery to select it.
    2. From Gallery Settings, click Organize Images.
    3. From the left of Organize Images, click an image.
    4. Click the up or down arrow icons to reorder your image.

    5. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 for all relevant images.
    6. From Organize Images, click OK.

    Your image order changes in your gallery.

  • Adding Details to Images in a Gallery

    You can add a title and description to the images in your gallery from Gallery Settings.

    To add details to images in a gallery:

    1. Click the gallery to select it.
    2. From Gallery Settings, click Organize Images.
    3. From the left of Organize Images, click an image.
    4. From the right of Organize Images, under Title and Description, type a title and description for your image.

    5. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 for all of your images.
    6. From Organize Images, click OK.

    Information is added to your images.

  • Adding a Link to an Image in Your Gallery

    Link the images in your gallery to external websites, pages within your site, email addresses or documents.

    To add a link to an image in your gallery:

    1. Click the gallery to select it.
    2. From Gallery Settings, click Organize Images.
    3. From the left of Organize Images, click an image.
    4. From the right of Organize Images, click inside the Link to field.
    5. From the Link window, click a link type: Web Address, Page, Email or Document and add your link.

    6. From the Link window, click OK.

    7. From Organize Images, click OK.
    8. Click outside of the gallery to close Gallery Settings.

    Links are added to your images.

  • Customizing Your Galleries

    Once you have added a gallery, you can customize it from Gallery Settings:

    Organize Images – add, upload, replace, delete and reorder your images as well as add descriptions and links.

    Grid Gallery Options:

    Image Scaling – crop your images or fit your images to the height of the gallery.
    Columns – set the number of images to display on the horizontal axis.
    Rows – set the number of images to display on the vertical axis.
    Show More – display more rows in your grid.
    Margin – set the distance between your images.
    Change Style – add, remove or create your own frames for your images.
    Clicking on Image – set your images to do nothing, expand or go to a link when your visitors click on them.

    Masonry Gallery Options:

    Columns – set the number of images to display on the horizontal axis.
    Margin – set the distance between your images.
    Font – set the font for the textual elements of your gallery.
    Text Display – set which elements of text to show in your gallery.
    Text Alignment – align your text to the left, center or right.
    Clicking on Image – set your images to do nothing, expand or go to a link when your visitors click on them.
    Enable Shadow – add a shadow effect to your gallery.
    Colors – customize the title, description, background and rollover colors of your gallery.

    Slideshow Gallery Options:

    Image Scaling – crop your images or fit your images to the width of the gallery.
    Transitions – set the transition style between slides.
    Autoplay – set the slideshow gallery to start playing automatically.
    Navigation Buttons - show or hide the control buttons for your gallery.
    Change Style – add, remove or create your own frames for your images.
    Clicking on Image – set your images to do nothing, expand or go to a link when your visitors click on them.

    Thumbnails Gallery Options:

    Image Scaling – crop your images or fit your images to the height of the gallery.
    Transitions – set the transition style between images.
    Thumbnail Display – set the proportion and margin of your thumbnail menu.
    Autoplay – set your gallery to start playing automatically.
    Text Display – set which elements of text to show in your gallery and customize their font, colors and alignment.

    Strip Slideshow Gallery Options:

    Transitions – set the transition style between images.
    Autoplay – set your gallery to start playing automatically.
    Text Display – set which elements of text to show in your gallery and customize their font, colors and alignment.

    Slider Gallery Options:

    Image Scaling – crop your images or fit your images to the height of the gallery.
    Margin – set the distance between your images.
    Speed – set the speed of your slider.
    Change Style – add, remove or create your own frames for your images.
    Clicking on Image – set your images to do nothing, expand or go to a link when your visitors click on them.

    3D Slideshow Options:

    Autoplay – set the 3D slideshow gallery to start playing automatically.
    Clicking on Image – set your images to do nothing, expand or go to a link when your visitors click on them.

    3D Carousel Options:

    Autoplay – set the 3D carousel gallery to start playing automatically.
    Clicking on Image – set your images to do nothing, expand or go to a link when your visitors click on them.

    Clicking on Image – set your images to do nothing, expand or go to a link when your visitors click on them.
    Image Scaling – crop your images or fit your images to the height of the gallery.
    Transitions – set the transition style between slides.
    Slide Color – choose the color of your slides.
    Autoplay – set your gallery to start playing automatically.
    Show Pagination – check the Show Pagination box to show the pagination on the gallery.
    Text Display – set which elements of text to show in your gallery and customize their font, colors and alignment.
