• Overview

    You can customize the look of your list, edit, add and hide fields and change your list's entire layout.

    A field is a type of item content (i.e., text, rich text, image, video, etc.). You can add new fields to your list, edit existing fields or hide fields to change the type of item content each of your lists show. The title field is the only mandatory field for the items in your list.

  • Customizing Your Settings

    To customize your list settings:

    1. Click the list to select it and then click Change Design.
    2. From the Design tab, next to Split your list across multiple pages, checkmark the box to add pagination to your list.
    3. Under Item Spacing, drag the handle to change the spacing between your items.
    4. Next to Show item separator, checkmark the box to show or hide the item separator.
    5. Click Change Item Separator Style to choose a new style for your item separator.

    Your list settings are customized.

    Note that any changes made in the Design tab affect your entire list.

  • Editing a Field

    Customizing a field and editing its design will change its appearance for all of the items in your list. From Edit Field Properties, you can set a field's alignment, spacing, width, height and more. For example, you can limit the height of a text field to display only two rows of text or change the style of all of the images in your image fields.

    Note that any changes made to your field properties will affect your entire list.

    To edit a field:

    1. Click the list to select it and then click Change Design.
    2. From the Design tab, under Edit field settings, click Edit next to the relevant field.
    3. From Edit Field Properties, rename the field, edit the text style, width, height, spacing and more.

    The selected field will be highlighted in your Editor.
    Different field types will have different customization options.
    Click Rename under the field name to rename the field (i.e., ImageTitleDate). You will see this name in the Items tab when viewing and editing your items.
    From Edit Field Properties, next to Field, click the drop-down menu to edit the other fields from your list.

    4. Click OK.

    Your field is edited.

  • Adding a Field

    To add a field to your list:

    1. Click the list to select it and then click Change Design.
    2. From the Design tab, under Edit field settings, click Add Field.
    3. From Add Field, under Select Field Type, click a type of field to add to your list.
    4. Under Field Name, type a name for your field.

    The field name describes the field (i.e., ImageTitleDate). You will see this name in the Items tab when viewing and editing your items.

    5. Under Choose a location for this field, click the drop-down menu and select a section for your new field.
    6. Click Set a default value for this field to automatically add default content to the new field.

    For example, you can set the default text of a new button field to say "Read more" and "Read more" will automatically appear as the text of your new button across all of your items.

    7. Under Default value, fill in the fields.
    8. Click OK.

    A new field is added to your list.

  • Hiding a Field

    To hide a field from your list:

    1. Click the list to select it and then click Change Design.
    2. From the Design tab, under Edit field settings, click the hide icon next to the relevant field.

    The field is hidden from your list.

    To display the field again, click Show next to the same field.

  • Showing a Hidden Field

    To show a hidden field on your list:

    1. Click the list to select it and then click Change Design.
    2. From the Design tab, under Edit field settings, click Show next to the relevant field.

    The field is displayed on your list.

  • Editing Your List Layout

    Your list items are made up of sections: Top, Left, Center, Right, Bottom and Hidden. These sections contain your fields within them.

    You can change the layout of your list items by moving the fields within the sections or by moving the fields between the different sections.

    To edit your list layout:

    1. Click the list to select it and then click Change Design.
    2. From the bottom of the Design tab, click Edit Layout.
    3. From Edit Layout, roll over text, an image or any field and click Edit to edit the field's properties. Click OK.

    Any change made to the field will apply to your entire list.

    4. Drag and drop your fields between sections to reorder the fields in your list layout.

    The moved fields will change their position on your list.

    5. Click Add Field, to add a new field to the items in your list. Click OK.

    Add Field includes fields such as text, rich text, image and more.

    6. Roll over a section and click Edit to edit the field section properties.

    Your list layout is edited.

  • Editing Section Properties

    To edit your section properties:

    1. Click the list to select it and then click Change Design.
    2. From the bottom of the Design tab, click Edit Layout.
    3. From Edit Layout, roll over a field section and click Edit to edit the field section properties.

    4. Under Section Orientation, select Vertical or Horizontal.

    The orientation will change the placement of the fields within the section.

    5. Under Minimum Section Width, set the width of the section to prevent fields from being cropped or text from being wrapped.
    6. Under Section Alignment, select an option to change the alignment of the section within the item.

    Your section properties are updated.
