    If you have already added the News List app, you will still be able to use it on your site. If you would like a new list, copy an existing list , paste, and make relevant changes to the new copy. *

    Add and share a list of the latest news about your company on your site.

    You can add several different news lists to your site; each list can have different items.

  • Adding a News Section to Your Site

    You can add several news sections to a page of your site or you can separate your news sections among individual pages, each with its own separate list of news items.

    To add a news section to your site:

    1. From the left side of the Editor, click the market icon to open Wix App Market.
    2. From Wix App Market, click News List.
    3. From News List, click Add to site.

    4. From Choose News Section, click the drop-down menu and select a news section to add to this site page. Click OK.

    Click No thanks, I'd like to create a new news section to open the News Editor. You will be able to edit all of the content within the news sections at any time from the News Editor.

    5. Repeat Steps 1-4 to add more news sections to your site.

    Your news section is added to your site.

  • Replacing a News Section on Your Site

    You can replace the news section that appears on your site page with a different news section.

    To replace a news section on your site:

    1. Click the news section on your site.
    2. From the pop-up, click Choose News Section.
    3. From the drop-down menu, click a news section from the list.

    4. Click OK.

    You have updated the news section that appears on your site.

  • Adding and Editing News Sections

    You can easily add new news sections or edit and rename existing ones.

    Adding a News Section

    To add a news section:

    1. Click a news section on your site.
    2. From the pop-up, click Edit News.
    3. From the left of the News Editor, under All Sections, click Add News Section.

    4. From Add News Section, under Title, type a title in the field.

    5. Click OK.

    A new news section is added to your News Sections.

    Clicking OK and add another will save your news section and automatically open a new window to allow you to quickly add more news sections.

    Editing a News Section

    To edit a news section:

    1. Click a news section on your site.
    2. From the pop-up, click Edit News.
    3. From the left of the News Editor, under All Sections, click a news section.
    4. From the right of the News Editor, roll over the News Section header.

    5. Click Edit.
    6. From Edit News Section, under Title, edit the text in the field.

    7. Click OK.

    Your news section changes.

    Clicking Delete removes the news section. Your news items will not be deleted, you can find them on the left side of the News Editor, under Hidden items.

    Duplicating a News Section

    To duplicate a news section:

    1. Click a news section on your site.
    2. From the pop-up, click Edit News.
    3. From the left of the News Editor, under All Sections, click a news section.
    4. From the right of the News Editor, roll over the News Section header.

    5. Click Edit.
    6. From the bottom of Edit News Section, click Make Copy.

    A copy of your news section appears under All Sections, on the left of the News Editor.

  • Adding and Editing News Items

    You can easily add to and edit the news items in your news sections from the News Editor.

    Adding a News Item

    To add a news item:

    1. Click a news section on your site.
    2. From the pop-up, click Edit News.
    3. From the left of the News Editor, under All Sections, click a news section.
    4. From the right of the News Editor, next to your News Section header, click Add.

    5. From Add News Item, under Title, type a title in the field.

    6. Under Image, click Replace image.
    7. From the Image Gallery, add an image or upload your own. Click OK.
    8. Under Created, choose a date from the drop-down menus.
    9. Under Created by, type a name in the field.
    10. Under Description, type a description in the field.
    11. Click OK.

    A new news item is added to your news section.

    Clicking OK and add another will save your news item and automatically open a new window to allow you to quickly add more news items.
    Under Appears in, click Add to to add your news item to a different news section. Click the next to a news section to remove this news item from that news section.

    Editing a News Item

    To edit a news item:

    1. Click a news section on your site.
    2. From the pop-up, click Edit News.
    3. From the left of the News Editor, under All Sections, click a news section.
    4. From the right of the News Editor, rolls over a news item.

    5. Click Edit.
    6. From Edit News Item, under Title, type a title in the field.

    7. Under Image, click Replace image.
    8. From the Image Gallery, add an image or upload your own. Click OK.
    9. Under Created, choose a date from the drop-down menus.
    10. Under Created by, type a name in the field.
    11. Under Description, type a description in the field.
    12. Click OK.

    Your news item is edited.

    Under Appears in, click Add to to add your news item to a different news section. Click the next to a news section to remove this news item from that news section.
    Clicking Delete removes the news item.

    1. Click a news section on your site.

    3. From the left of the News Editor, under All Sections, click a news section.
    4. From the right of the News Editor, rolls over a news item.

    A copy of your news item appears under the news section that you are currently in.

  • Updating Your News List Settings

    To update your news list settings:

    1. Click a news section on your site.
    2. From the pop-up, click Settings.
    3. From News List, under Choose Layout, click a layout for your news list to change its appearance.

    4. Under the Choose Layout section, customize the layout from Step 3.
    5. Click Customize Expand.
    6. From Customize Expand, choose a news item and customize its appearance when expanded.

    Your News List settings change.
