Responsive Web Pages
I searched for the term "Responsive" on the forum. I got a definition of Responsive, then a summary of the Optimized Mobile Site feature. However, there was no answer for the question - are Wix site's responsive.
So can you tell me are Wix site's supposed to be responsive?
Yes, I understand there is an Optimized Mobile Site that adapts the site for mobile viewing. But, what about 4:3 screens or tablets or when someone zooms in. On my website that I created on Wix, the pages are not responsive. I did my work on a widescreen 16:9 screen and it looks fine, but when I use a laptop or tablet, a large portion of the left side of the screen is missing. I can scroll right, but not left.
Yes, my site works on the Optimized Mobile view, but again, not on 4:3 screens or tablets.

So what are the dimensions I would use to get a proper rendering of my website? Right now I'm using the full screen, but even on some widescreen monitors many don't get a proper rendering of the website. You have the gridlines for the proper mobile rendering, are these the same guidelines I would use for a proper rendering across all devices?

That is correct, at the moment you should keep all of your site elements in inside the gridlines.
gridlines appear inside your editor to help you build your site's layout. Currently your site is fixed at 980px in order to accommodate the largest number of internet users that will be visiting your site. You will want to place all of your site's content inside the Gridlines to ensure its compatibility across different browsers and devices.Checkout the video below to learn more about our Gridlines feature that will help you with your site's layout.
The gridlines do not appear on your live site - they are there as a guide that can help you map and design your site better. To remove the gridlines, simply click on the gridlines icon from the top menu.
