    Deconnecting a Domain

    • I bought a premium package and went to switch over two domains to go to the site.  I have since cancelled my package and am trying to get back my domains.  One is fine, goes to the site (free Wix site).  The other, strictly a re-direct to the domain that is working, gives me a Wix error message when putting in the domain.  I just want things to go back to the way they were before I tried to get the premium package!  Anyone know how I can dis-connect the domain from this Wix account?

      Hi racingcreations,
      To delete a domain name: Sign in to your Wix account > hover over Subscriptions > click Domains > next to the relevant domain, click the red X.
      Once you have deleted the domain, you can replace it by adding a new one.
      To add a new domain: Click Use a Domain You Already Own > choose Connect your domain to Wix but keep your current registrar or Transfer your domain to Wix from a different registrar > follow the instructions provided.
      Note: Only domains that were not purchased from Wix.com can be deleted or replaced.

      Hi Ori -

      I saw the red x next to the site that was working properly but I did that anyways.  However, the one I'm trying to fix does not have the red x next to it.  It says the domain is managed by Wix and that it expires October 19, 2015.  In the 'connects to' column, it says N/A.

      I was trying to transfer the 2 domains over to Wix when I thought I wanted to buy the package, so I'm hoping that domain is not now owned by Wix.

      Please note that in order to connect a domain to a Wix site the site must be upgraded with a premium plan. Wix does not support connecting domains to free Wix sites. This is relevant to your situation since you have canceled your premium plan but are still attempting t connect a domain to your free Wix site.

      Please note that you only have one domain which is currently hosted (not owned) by Wix.
