on-line store

Ticket by catherinemurray | August 21, 2014 | Question
  • I live in the UK and contacting wix is difficult  submit tickets or contact support on-line .

1..  OK current design (health)   is almost complete BUT having difficulty with on-line store - is there a wix professional who would help me complete the on-line store for $$$ or £££  D

    2. I want to build the on-line store first before I upgrade...will wix  allow this?  I understand that I can't test the e-commerece section until I upgrade...but can I build the store first?

     3. I have listed product categories on the store (health) and uploaded quite a few product images BUT when I preview the site   I cannot see any products

AND 5  I purchased a domain through a UK company as it's so much easier to deal with support it's only a phone call away   SO when I publish my site (therapiagourock.com  (health on wix)  can I transfer the site under my domain to a UK company to host etc??  I love wix designs and templates and realise this may sound cheeky but I need a local easy access support

    kind regards    catherine.murray@live.com

    Hi,

    1. We are happy to help, could you please elaborate on the problem you are having? How can we assist?

    2. Yes, you can build your store but users will not be able to checkout until you upgrade.

    3. I viewed your site and I could see that you didn't add any products to your collection (All of your products are under the general collection). To add a product to a collection, click on the product in the manage store window and click on 'Add' under collection.

    4. You can connect your domain to your site but it is not possible to transfer your Wix site to a different host.

Please let us know if you have more questions.

    Hi Daniel,

I know all of what you said so perhaps I asked the wrong question. I'll try agiain

    1.  I do have at least 10 items added in the online store BUT when I attempt to ;exit edit and preview site I can preview  all pages  but the online store page (products) is blank     HOW can I preview what buyers will see in the online store..

    2. the online store is very labour intensive  SO is there any other option to sell items on my site

    3. If I hired a wix professional to complete the online store what are the costs

    Hi catherinemurray,

    1. You simply need to add a product gallery to display your products.

To do so click Add > Online Store > Product Gallery.

    2. you can also use a third party app from the App market  such as Shopify or Eatsy to sell products on your Wix site. The Wix App Market is available here and from the left side of the Wix Editor. The Wix App Market contains hundreds of apps created either by third-party developers or by Wix.

    3. Please go to the Wix Arena for more information regarding hiring someone to help you with your site as the prices change from one designer to another.

If you require further assistance, feel free to contact us again.

    Hi,

    1. If you mean selling products using a different service than the Wix Online Store, than the answer is yes. You can use any of the eCommerce third party apps we have on our App Market. Please refer to section 2 in Gat's reply for instructions.

    2. Yes. You can add a Wix Online Store,or any third party eCommerce app to your Wix site at any point in the future.

THE BASIC  Gift Card APP ALLOWED  A £10 GIFT LIMIT and ,  IF I WANTED  AN UNLIMITED GIFT AMOUNT THEN I WOULD HAVE TO UPGRADE

     SO  I DID.

GUESS WHAT THE APP STILL WONT ACCEPT ANY AMOUNT GREATER THE £10

    PLEASE FIX THIS

another question on the Gift Card App.

      1.  Once the  buyer fills in their details and clicks Paypal what  does the final  product look like and how  can I preview f what the client will receive?

    2.  I  have 2 aspects to my business  a) SERVICEs  b) a small range of product.

I would like to use the gift cards app  for both the  services and the products ( all on the same  page) is this feasible?

    Hi,

Please note that your customer will be able to change the amount he wishes to purchase manually (You can view it through Preview or in the live site) as seen here:

    Regarding your other questions :

    1. After a visitor purchases a gift card on your site, two emails are sent:
One email is sent to the buyer with the details of the purchase and an image of the card. The buyer can choose to print or forward the gift card.
The other email is sent to you (the site owner) containing information about the purchase, including the coupon code.

Both you and the buyer will be able to view details of the transaction in your own Paypal accounts.

    2. Generally Gift cards are valid for purchases at your physical store location only (It does not incorporate delivery options).  If you wish you could also sell services using gift cards.

Please let us know should you require any further assistance.
