Can i enter code in my wix page?

    Ticket by dlangpap | May 8, 2014 | Question
    • I have inserted a link to an ecommerce shop from an outside provider (Spreadshirt) but for it to work properly, according to their help forum, I need to insert code into my Wix page. Is this at all possible, even if premium upgrade is needed?

Also, I would like to eventually install Adwords tracking (Analytics too but Adwords specifically) in my Wix page. Is that currently possible?

      Hey dlangpap,

Currently it is not possible to track AdWords with Google Analytics, however you can add them separately. Please click on the hyperlinks above to find out more.

We are constantly working on adding new features to the HTML editor.

You can vote for this feature in this thread.

With the HTML App you can test and add your own HTML code to your Wix site.

Ok, thanks for your answer. Regarding the second point, the instructions given were to "add an onload to your iframe":

      <iframe src="http://ix-fashion.spreadshirt.de/girlz-white-line-C315705" width="700" height="1400" onload="Pos100();">

Where would I enter this code?

You can use our HTML app as instructed by Eyal.

Ok, thanks. I have tried adding HTML with the "code" option. The instructions were to add:

      "<script type="text/javascript"> function Pos100 () { parent.scrollTo(0,1); } </script>"

in the header of my website. So I used the wix interface to add that in the header, but when checking Page Source via Chrome this code did not appear there.

But maybe it's easier to explain what I'm trying to achieve: I have to make the site jump up IN my Wix shop Frame every time it's loaded. So, for example, if someone clicks a product on the 10th row of the shop, the link takes them to the TOP of the linked page.

HTML added in the HTML add on is added to the <body>, not the <head> area of the site.

Unfortunately it is not possible to add HTML code directly to the source code of your site.

Please note it is now possible to add anchors to your Wix site! An anchor is a position marker which allows you to link to a specific location on any of the pages of your site.

Here is how you can find the anchors feature:

You can find step by step instructions here or watch the video below:

Ok, just to clarify then: is it possible to insert code directly to the source code of my site IF I have a premium membership? If not, could an exception be made to insert probably two lines of code? It's just that my site would be useless if I can't add this feature and I don't want to throw away hours of work.  The alternative of adding anchors is not practical as I would have to insert links from every product to its details, basically negating the reason of being of the third party e-commerce site.

Actually it would be impossible to achieve this even using anchors as I can't link from within the inserted HTML...

      Hi dlangpap ,

It is indeed impossible to add code directly to the source code and unfortunately, this is not something that we can make an exception for at the moment.

We apologize for the inconvenience. Please let us know should you require further assistance,
