Wix Help Center

Will visitors be able to download or print images from my Wix site?

    Question

For most galleries, visitors will not be able to right-click and save images. However, depending on the browser*, visitors should be able to right-click and save stand-alone images. Please note that it may also be possible for visitors to access the images through the HTML source code.

*This is not a Wix feature, it is dependent on the browser functionality.

The best form of protection against the downloading or printing of images on your site would be for you to watermark your images before uploading them. You can find some great tips on adding watermarks, using an external photo editing program, in the following Wix Blog Post: How to Easily Watermark and Protect Your Images

If you do wish for your visitors to be able to download images from your site, simply add each image individually as a stand-alone image.

Yes No Thanks for your feedback!
