    What does the "Domain already taken" error message mean?


    There are two reasons why you might receive this error when trying to connect a domain to your Wix site.

    1. You have previously added the domain to your My Domains section.
    In this case, to connect your domain to your site: Sign in to your Wix account > from the top menu, hover over Subscriptions > click Domains > next to the relevant domain name, click Manage > under Domain Connects To, click Change > choose the site you want to use > click Save.

    2. The domain is already in a My Domains section of another account.
    In this case, if you have another Wix account, please delete the domain from the My Domains section of your other account.
    If you do not have another account, then please let us know the domain name and we will remove it for you (provided that you are the owner of the domain).
