With the HTML App you can add your own HTML code or embed another site onto your Wix site.

To add the HTML App: From the left side of the Editor, click the Add icon > click Apps > click HTML.

Click the HTML App to select it > from the pop-up menu, click Settings > under Mode, choose HTML Code or Website address > enter the code/address > click Update.

Note: Take a minute to read through the Known Issues & Limitations of the HTML iFrame/Embed App before using it.

    My Wix site is currently a Flash site.  iPad's and iPhones are unable to see it.  Will adding HTML code work for this issue?   My site is www.getugoin.com

    Thank you,

    Daniel

      Hi,

      Unfortunately not. You will have to create an HTML5 site.

      You can create your HTML site now by clicking 'Templates' and choosing an HTML template. For more information on how to get started, click here or check out the below video!

      We're excited to hear your feedback, simply post in our HTML Forum

      Thank you Ritti,

      What if I added a mobile website, would that take care of not being able to view the flash site?

      Thanks,

      Daniel

      Hi Daniel,

      Yes, you can add a mobile site for your flash site.

      However, note that the Flash's mobile site editor offers less features than the HTML5 editor. It is a very basic version of your Flash site. We recommend building an HTML site.

      If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask!

    Can I add my htlm code in my own domain even if the webpage is based in Wix?

    Dear Wix team,

    I would like to add a feature that you do not offer to my site, and I would like to know if I can modify the html code in my own domain; which is linked to a wix page. Thank you very much.

      Hi,

      I've merged your query with the relevant thread.

      With the HTML App you can test and add your own HTML code to your Wix site.

      Foe instructions, please check the best reply at the top of this page.

      Have a great day,

      Tal, Wix Team

      Thank you for your reply. The problem is the character limitation, since I do not think I can develop my feature in just ~8000 characters. That is why I asked whether I am able to modify the code in my own domain.

      Unfortunately it is not possible to add HTML code directly to the source code of your site.

    Allow site members to upload photos to a site.

    Would love to be able to have an app that would allow for site members to upload and caption photos, that can be approved by the site editor and published to a gallery on the site.

      Hello buckhornamslocalchap,

      Unfortunately this isn't possible at the moment.

      We document and learn from every feature request brought to our attention. These objectives are immediately high priority milestones in Wix's product road map.

      Feel free to add your feature request to our Wish List by posting here.

      As an alternative you can add your email address that the user could post to.

      Then you can approve the photo and upload it.

      A different option would be to insert an HTML to your Site.

      Please refer to the above reply to do so.

      If you have any other question, please feel free to let us know.

      Thanks,

    Hello

    I am trying to embed the following to my wix site using HTML app. Please see this Facebook page link:

    https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/like-box-for-pages/ I have tried everything to embed this in the HTML app but it simply will not show up? Can you help? When I cut the exact code from another site it works just not the Facebook page I want to use.

    Example at http://www.ziglar.com/ Look at the Facebook app. I want this exactly how it looks. When I copy the code for his app into the HTML app you provide it works?

    The site I am trying to use this on is the Last Play site.

    Wayne

    speak pipe

    I want to add speak pipe to my webpage so people can send me voice mail messages from their computer. They gave me some code to put on my page (see below). How do I add this?

    <!-- Begin SpeakPipe code -->
    <script type="text/javascript">
    (function(d){
    var app = d.createElement('script'); app.type = 'text/javascript'; app.async = true;
    var pt = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://' : 'http://');
    app.src = pt + 'www.speakpipe.com/loader/5ydbr0hhgkkpi6oyab1xfcmrs2bkq88w.js';
    var s = d.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(app, s);
    })(document);
    </script>
    <!-- End SpeakPipe code -->

      Hey!

      You can try using HTML app to integrate your button. Unfortunately this is the only solution for now.

      Thanks.

      Best regards, WIX Team.

      Yes, but when I do that the image is not appearing. Looks like sometimes when things overlap there are issues. What would be the other reasons why the code does not appear so that I can troubleshoot?
      Also, how do I add google's code to my site so that I can optimize my SEO?

    Hi,

    I have inserted Javascript code on cart page using HTML App and it's added in an iframe rather than directly on the cart page. The iframe is loaded from different sub domain due to which my code manipulation is stopped.

    I want to access DOM of cart page using Javascript on run time. Please guide in this case.

    Thank you!

      Hey,

      It's possible to embed Javascript code within the HTML app. However, please note that your code will only function within the constraints of the HTML app frame.

      Please note, Wix offers support directly related to our product. By adding external code you are adding products/code that we have not created or tested. Therefore our Support team cannot answer any questions concerning Javascript or HTML.

    HTML app/code

    Hello, I've followed the proper procedure to adding an HTML app to my site.  I tested the code in the respective sites you guys provide.  The issue I am experiencing is that once I paste the code and hit update, the content of the code does not appear on my site.  The frame box shows up but there is not content within it.  Can somebody please assist me with this.

    Thanks!
