Generally most external html codes should work with the html app.

If you have tried a variety and they seem to fail with the html app, I can advise to try clearing your browser's cache.

You can find step by step instructions here.

      Hi,

Keep in mind that by adding external HTML code you are adding products and code that we have not tested or created in Wix, therefore our support team cannot answer any questions concerning the HTML iFrame/Embed App.

We recommend testing your code externally.

You can do this using sites such as the following:
      w3schools.com
      jsfiddle.net

      Hello,

Please note that the HTML app enables you to add your own code, that we did not create nor test at Wix, so as Ritti mentioned we cannot provide support for it.

If the HTML app isn't working, it may be a problem with the code. You can check if the code is correct by using this site.

Simply paste the html code between <body> RIGHT HERE </body> and click the button above (Edit and Click Me) in order to see the results.

If nothing appears in the right window or a certain component appears but doesn't work, this means that the code is problematic. Please contact the creator of the code and let them know that it isn't working.

If the preview shows the content as expected, then it's a compatibility issue with Wix. We're currently working on improving the compatibility of Wix with customizable code.
      Gat Wix Team.

      Hello,

The following is a guide to help you manage the H1 for your HTML website using font styles:

Title - H1 - (only the most top left is H1 - second (etc) title will be H2)

      Page Title- H2

      Heading XL - H3

      Heading L - H4

      Heading M - H5

      Heading S - H6

The rest of the styles are mapped to paragraph tag.

Here are some tips about H1 headers:

      1. A proper HTML page allows only one H1 tag. If you place an H1 tag in your header or footer or if you marked it to be displayed on all pages, then you shouldn't add anymore H1 tags.

      2. If you don't check the "show on all pages" option on your H1 text, you can add one line of text (in a paragraph or title) that has an H1 style.

      3. The H1 text should be a single line. if you break lines, the H1 tag will be added only to the top line. If you would like the H1 tag to spread over more than one line simply click on shift+enter instead of only enter.

      4. If any of your pages has more than one line of text with "title" style then Wix will mark the top left title as H1 and the rest will be H2.

If you would like to view your new HTML website exactly as Google and other search engines see it, you cannot simply right click on the live site and select to view the source code - this is how it worked for the Wix Flash websites, but not for the HTML5 sites.

To view the HTML website as Google does, simply add "?_escaped_fragment_" to the end of your websites domain name. Eg. www.mydomain.com/?_escaped_fragment_

Once you are viewing the ?_escaped_fragment_ version of your website, you can right click to View Source Code, but this is only if you are interested in viewing the source code. Otherwise, seeing the ?_escaped_fragment_ version of your website is a nice way to see how Google is viewing your website.

If you want to check that the correct H1 has been updated within the source code; go to the Page Source, click CTRL + F, and type in "H1" to search for the H1 headers on your site.

Wix guarantees that all of the text and meta tags on your site are being scanned by search engines. However, you need to remember that whenever you update your website, it needs to be crawled by the search engine, such as Google,  before you can expect to see these changes reflected on search results.

It can take anywhere from 1 to 3 months. To speed the process you can re- submit, if you haven’t already, your website directly to Google through here. After purchasing a premium upgrade, connect Wix with the Bing Webmaster Tool and the Google Webmaster Tool

To see if Google has indexed your website, as well as the last time this happened i.e. to see a cached version of your website, enter your website’s URL with the word cache: before it in the Google search. For example: cache:www.mydomain.com

With the Wix SEO Monitoring Tool you will receive a step by step guide to improve your site's SEO. In addition, you can also target what your customers are searching for and it will help your site to get found on Google.

Please click here for our SEO learning center.

I hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any further questions.

      Sincerely, Leah Wix Team

      Hey,

As mentioned above, we unfortunately do not support this feature. The html app is the only way to add functionality to a website which is not provided by our editor tools and the html cannot add code into the actual site code.

Perhaps there is a way with the html app to tag affiliate tracking but unfortunately we do not support at the code level.

      Hi,

These sort of tracking codes often require the code to be a part of the actual site, and won't work when implemented inside an iframe. When tracking of this sort is done on say, google analytics it cannot be done using the HTML app as well, so this shouldn't be very different, I guess.

It seems that Wix sites don't support the feature you're trying to implement. I apologize.
