With the HTML App you can add your own HTML code or embed another site onto your Wix site.

To add the HTML App: From the left side of the Editor, click the Add icon > click Apps > click HTML.

Click the HTML App to select it > from the pop-up menu, click Settings > under Mode, choose HTML Code or Website address > enter the code/address > click Update.

Note: Take a minute to read through the Known Issues & Limitations of the HTML iFrame/Embed App before using it.

      Hello,

Please keep in mind that by adding external HTML code you are adding products and code that we have not tested or created in Wix, therefore our support team cannot answer any questions concerning the HTML iFrame/Embed App.

We recommend testing your code externally. You can do this using sites such as the following:
      w3schools.com
      jsfiddle.net

      Best regards

    Hi ,

You can add a marquee tag via the html app.

<marquee>This is basic example of marquee</marquee>

    Direct HTML Uploading/Editing

I'm really not sure if this is a thing. Of course, normally with these sites, you guys don't allow the editing of the structure of the webpage itself, but here I am asking; is it possible to edit the base code of the website? And if not, is it possible to go ahead and upload custom HTML/CSS documents? Please reply soon :)

      Hey tonitapty,

Thank you for contacting Wix support.

Please be informed that I have merged your query with the relevant thread.

As per your query, note that it is not possible to edit the base code of the website.

You may use the HTML App as a solution that might suit your needs. With the HTML app you can test and add your own HTML code to your Wix site.

For instructions on adding the app to your site, please check the best reply at the top of this page.

Keep in mind that by adding external HTML code you are adding products and code that we have not tested or created in Wix, therefore our support team cannot answer any questions concerning the HTML iFrame/Embed App.

We recommend testing your code externally. You can do this using sites such as the following:
      w3schools.com

    Html app question

Always says the same, but you never add this on the list.. I am tired to add things on the list and ask for this features.. as most of the other customers that needs this feature.. You can put on the list if you want to improve the company.

Why you do not add on the list, this features is asked 100 of times in different ways, but nothing..

Is there a way to code it in HTML? If not, please add this feature! It's so important.

Without it, words look ridiculous and unprofessional when using TM, R, C, for important brands, trademarks, copyrights.

      Hi,

Yes, you can add html snippets to your site via the html app. Please note, that you can add special characters with your keyboard within a text box.

Using the HTML editor, is it possible to comment/annotate images? So, the image is resident on the webpage and there are several opportunities for kids to demonstrate learning. So that when a student/user logs back in, the annotations are still there?

Example: a photo of an ancient temple, and the student types in to explain about several different features.

    Thanks...

My question is not with the code I add to the site.  I have added code for run a payment from an outside processor.  This part works perfectly fine.  The question I have is how to escape the iframe when someone clicks a link inside of it.  I want them to go to the home page.  Currently it brings up the home page inside of the iframe.

      Hi,

I'm afraid this is a fix that can only be made within the code you added.

      Please check your code's settings.

Don't hesitate to contact us again,

      Ella
