If your Contact Form is not working, please try the following:


1. Check to see that you have entered the correct email address in your Contact Form settings.

To check your Contact Form email address: Click the Contact Form that you added to your site > in the Settings window, under Email To, enter or correct the email address that you want Contact Form submissions sent to.

Make sure to Save and Publish if you make any changes.


2. Check that emails sent through your Wix Contact Form are not being recognized as spam and have ended up in your Spam/Junk/Bulk Folder.

Note: If the email address you added is example@YourSiteDomainName, make sure that the MX records are pointing correctly, click here to learn more.

    I'm having issues with my contact form. For some reason people viewing my website (on firefox & safari) are able to enter information in all the fields except for the first one. I tried changing it around and put Email as the first field and Name as the second, but it still wouldn't work. Whatever i keep as my first field is not working.

    I'm having no issues receiving emails from the contact form. But i would like for all the fields to work & not sure how to fix this.

    My contact form isn't working either. I have checked everything you suggested to  others. When I press send the message comes up as 'details have been sent' but no emails arrive either in BenEllison@aol.com  or BCC   LizziBolton@aol.com. I have also tried it without BCC but still no joy.

      I don't know if this will help shed some light on the problem but I have just tried to add a button linked to my email address as another way of contacting me and that doesn't work either. It puts up a blank document. I have deleted that again.

      Yes it has worked with a googlemail email address. Does that mean I can't use an aol email address for this.

      In the meanwhile, you cannot.

      Please note that you can use gmail's forwarding to use a gmail address as an intermediate between your aol inbox and your contact form.

    My contact form at www.ratioinnovacion.com is not working. The email hola@ratioinnovacion.com is able to receive normally, but seems that the form is not sending anything. I've checked the MX records in the Wix domain manager and seem to be ok. The MX server is set to mail.ratioinnovacion.com (from Hostmonster). Any idea?

      I just send you a test message. Have you received it?

      Please go to your Editor and make sure that you have added the correct email address to your Contact Form.

      Please also check if Wix is recognized as Spam mail in your email account; you may have received the emails in your Spam folder.

      Make sure to Save and Publish after you make the change.

      Please note, If the email address you added is example@YourSiteDomanName, make sure that the MX records are pointing correctly, you can read about it here.

      I dindn't receive your test email. It's not in spam. But I'm able to receive my own test emails to hola@ratioinnovacion.com (the address linked to the form), I've just tried it.

      I've double checked the form and the address is correctly spelled. May be the MX records are not properly configured, but I couldn't tell as I don't know much about it. I just left it in its default config after having transfered the domain ratioinnovacion.com from Hostmonster by pointing method.

      I've added your mail address to the BCC as well, please try again and let us know if it still doesn't arrive at the destination. If this fails, please let us know which mail provider you're using and what the MX records should be so that we can take a look.

    Hi Wix team, I am having issues with my contact form as well on www.c2porterville.com

    I have published and have two valid email accounts (one is email and another in BCC). Not currently working, please help!

      Hi Erik, 


      I was able to send you a test email using the contact form on your site. If do not see it in your inbox, please also check your spam to folder to make sure it did not end up there for some reason. Let us know if you were able to receive the email so that we can further investigate.

      Are you receiving mails to these mailboxes from other sources? Please make sure that they are indeed in tact.

      Okay I changed the email address to my personal email and a test submission went through sucessfully. But why not the work email? The erik@ricopropertygroup.com (and Jorge...) are both mircosoft 365 based email accounts. Any thoughts?

      It's possible that your email host is blocking our email for some reason. Please contact them and ask if they are filtering the following IPs:

      Our computer tech guy looked into the info you gave me and found nothing. He responded asking you this,

      "Can you change the smtp info to use another server?"

      Hi Erik,

      We're not the mail host, we have no access to the smtp servers nor do we host the name servers for that domain - which means we don't have the DNS control to redirect the mails to their respectable servers.


      Can you get incoming mails to that address otherwise? If you can, then it seems to be some issue with blocking our addresses - contacting 365 will be the best option we can recommend.

    My contact form on polliwogpond.com is not working. I have replaced the email with my absolutely-working one too and no luck. Checked spam folder, too.

    I get an error message when trying to send a test message from my website. It states "owner email address not set". I purchased my email through Wix with Google - why won't this work?

      Hey pambthompson,


      Simply follow these instructions:

      1. From the left toolbar, click the Add icon.
      2. From Add , click Apps and then click Contact Form. 
      3. From the Contact Form Settings window, under Email to, type the email that your site visitors will contact when filling in the form.
      4. Under Email BCC, type an email that will be blind-copied when your visitors fill in the form.

    I am having the SAME PROBLEM with my two premium sites.  What is going on?  And why hasn't WIX simply fixed this? Evidently it has been happening for quite awhile.

      No. I did not receive it --and no, it's not in my spam filter.  The contact form is not working for either juancarlosproductions.com or wecoulddoitbetter.com --and I've deleted the contact form re-added it, revised it, published it ..etc., etc., etc.

      I have just accessed the editor of your site wecoulddoitbetter.com, added my personal email address to the Contact Form settings as a BCC address and used Preview Mode to send a message. I have successfully recieved the message within a few seconds. Have a look at the screenshot below:

      Please make sure that the email address 'juancarlosprod@aol.com' which you are currently using with your Contact Form is correct. If this is the correct address, please check if you are able to receive mails sent to this address from external sources (not through Wix).


      If you are unable to receive any mail sent to this address, please contact AOL.com for further assistance. If you do receive mails sent to this address from sources outside of Wix, please let us know.

    my contact forms are not working properly. only a few of them work. some of them only allow a direct input of text to some of the colomes. please check it out www.naturaliceland.is

      I checked your site through the editor, however I didn't experience any issues with the contact forms. Note that in order to add more fields or enter text in the other fields (marked grey), you will need to simply check the boxes next to it. Shown in the screenshot below:

      If I misunderstood the issue you are having, please specify which contact forms aren't working, where are they located within your site and provide us with screenshots. You can find step by step instructions here.

      Ok thank you this is not the problem, thank you for the quick response.

      For example this one http://www.naturaliceland.is/#!reykjanes/c11xp when your hoover over the box marked tölvupóst (e. email) you see that you cannot input text, if you move your mouse over to the end of the field or the box where you should be able to put in your email you see the type icon and then you can input text.

      This varies over the different contact forms over each site, on this site http://www.naturaliceland.is/#!skraning/c1f2i you can enter each section with a form by clicking "Skráning" and then you can test them out, the only one that worked correctly was the "Austurland and Vestfirðir" one. I can send screens if this does not help but it could be a little hard to showcase over screens.

      The problem with the contact form on this page http://www.naturaliceland.is/#!reykjanes/c11xp is that text above the contact form is overlapping the fields and that is the reason you can't enter anything/


      Please use the stretch handle to re-size the text box, Save and Publish your site and the issue will be resolved. I suggest that you check other contact forms where you have this exact issue to see if the text box is not overlapping the fields.

    I'm having the same issue. A week or two ago the contact form worked. Now we are getting a message that says 'an error has occurred.'

    I checked and double checked the email addresses. I deleted the contact for and added a new one entering the information from the beginning again. It does seem like a problem in the program, not on my end or user error.

    Please let me know what can be done to fix this. Thanks.
