If your Contact Form is not working, please try the following:

 

1. Check to see that you have entered the correct email address in your Contact Form settings.

To check your Contact Form email address: Click the Contact Form that you added to your site > in the Settings window, under Email To, enter or correct the email address that you want Contact Form submissions sent to.

Make sure to Save and Publish if you make any changes.

 

2. Check that emails sent through your Wix Contact Form are not being recognized as spam and have ended up in your Spam/Junk/Bulk Folder.
 

Note: If the email address you added is example@YourSiteDomainName, make sure that the MX records are pointing correctly, click here to learn more.

    Hi,

     

    I can't seem to change the text color in the contact form. The site is live and I'm refreshing after each attempt, but no luck.

    Also, when I go to enter text, the 'Name' text doesn't change to a flashing cursor, or let the viewer know they can type.

    Don;t see anything in settings.

    I made my site for my wedding and I put a page where people could RSVP for the wedding and it's supposed to send them to my email. I have received 5 RSVP to my email from wix, but several other people are telling me they have sent it through the contact page on my site, but I'm not getting them... At first I just had the free site, so I thought if I upgraded, I would get the rest of the emails, but even when I upgraded, I didn't get them... Our wedding is a little over a month away, so not getting my RSVP's is making me nervous! Help please! :)

    I have a contact form on my website www.affordableglassauckland.co.nz - when I try to put my contact details into it it will not let me - it won't allow me to click on the required field to add my details so I can send the e-mail.  I have had a few of my customers who have said the contact page is not working.  I've tried to update the details on wix.com but it is still the same - what am I doing wrong please

      Hi,

       

      I fixed the issue for you.

      Please note that you had your text color set as white, which is why you couldn't see the text when typing. I change it to black. 

       

      To change text color click on the contact box > change style > personalize this form > Button text

    Dear Wix,

    I have a problem with my contact form on aicilas.com

    - when i send an email using the contact form to info@aicilas.com, I do not receive anything
    - when i changed the contact form to send to my personal emails, I get the emails

     

    I have read your article on the mx records (http://www.wix.com/support/main/html5/domains-email/managing-your-domain-records#weight-3) but I do not understand them.

    Are you able to work this out on your end?

      Oh and when I've changed it to my personal email, and after I submitted a test email through the contact form, there seems to be about a 5mins lag before receiving the contact entry.

      Is this common?

      I performed a test on your contact form and received the email perfectly.

      Please check your spam folders. 

      Also make sure that the address no-reply@parastorage.com is not being blocked by your email configuration.

      just to be clearer as well, i am using an external email server (justhost.com) which info@aicilas.com is also forwarded to my personal gmail account

      so in short, how do I use an external email server in the contact form?

      Sorry, the test you performed was when the contact form was set up to be sent to my personal email. That I have no problem with.

      what I am trying to do is to get the contact form to send it to info@aicilas.com

      If you try the contact form now, you should know what I mean

      yes, I received it but the problem is not in receiving direct emails, that works fine.

      what doesnt work is when emails are sent through the contact form

      I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

      Have you checked the Spam folder?

      Perhaps the email were labeled as spam.

      Please check the spam folder, if that is not the problem we will perform further tests.

      Hey, 
       

      Please note that your domain is not properly connected to your Wix NS. Therefore, Wix does not hold the control of your Domain Records (your original host does). 

      To connect a domain to a Wix site, we recommend connecting the name servers (NS) to Wix. This means that the domain is still located at the original host (where you purchased your domain name from), but the domain redirects to the Wix site. 

      When you connect your domain to Wix by nameservers, we can offer support and assist you in creating any DNS records you might need. 


      To solve this problem simply send your domain hosting company (where you purchased your domain name from) the following message:


      "I have built a site on Wix.com. Please connect my domain to their Name Servers - NS1.WIX.COM (IP address 216.139.213.90) and NS2.WIX.COM (IP address 95.211.144.195)"



      After sending your message, please allow up to 72 hours for changes to take effect (propagate).


      Here you can find your current NS records and also check if they have been updated.

      The name server should not affect the email in such a way as the emails are getting through directly. It is just a matter of how the contact form was built by wix.

      I think it has to do with the MX records.

      Well, I think the problem is solved now, but it looks like an issue on WIX.
      The mail is sent to the domain arenim.com - and the authoritive DNS for this domain is NOT WIX - it is hosted elsewhere. But for some reason, there were some DNS MX records in the WIX system as well, and WIX checks those records, which is a big mistake. I have updated the MX records in the WIX environment, and now the emails are sent properly.
      Please escalate this problem to the IT team, because when sending emails, you should be using the authoritive DNS servers, not your local DNS servers (if they are not the authoritive ones, of course).

      For information on how to add and update your MX records please follow the steps provided here .

      I see your MX records are updated to mail.aicilas.com, note that it may take up to 24 hours for the change sto fully propagate throughout the systems

    why arent my emails being sent from the contact page

    I have set up the contact form to send emails to a specific email address.  I have sent VARIOUS test emails through the  contact form, however none of them have gone through.  I have sent emails from other email accounts and I have received all of them.  What is wrong with the contact form email?

    Hi, 

    My contact form is also not working.. I have checked all folders in my email, spam etc but nothing there. We set up the contact form so that people could rsvp to our wedding invite so bit worried that we ar enot receiving any messages. 

    What can we do to fix it??

      I checked your site and I saw you didn't add your own email address to the contact form.

      Please go to the ' Contact Us  ' page and click on the contact form -> from the drop down menu click on Settings -> Please add your own email address:

      We are afraid that if your site visitors tried to use the contact form they got an error message.

       

      In any case, publish your site and everything will work fine .

    My recently published wix site is not sending anything from the contact form, i have tried using both gmail and hotmail accounts but to no avail. have checked spam and trash, folders with no luck either. I am getting the query sent succesfully though.

    My problem is still not solved. Last reply from Gat does not help - there is no Gmail involved, we are using Microsoft Office 365. Yesterday we have spend an hour with the Microsoft support engineers, they were totally professional and we could traced that mail from Wix (the previously provided address) has never reached our mail servers. So the issue is not in our system (we can receive mails from every host inc. Gmail), but in the mail sender service of WIX.

     

    Please take our case seriously as this is getting to be very problematic and urgent - you could not deliver a solution since 4 days.

      Please note that I have successfully been able to send an email from the contact form to my mail address:

       

      Please note that your mail configuration is not properly set - please contact your mail host (rather than Microsoft) and ask them for the A record that should be inserted under mail.arenim,com.

       

      Have you encountered the same issue with the domain minerva-soft.com? If so, please note that you should contact your domain host in this matter since it is neither connected nor transferred to Wix.
