    Hi Guys,

Do any of you know why google on wix doesnt show the correct address even when its the same address typed in as I have used to find it on google maps. Anyone else had this problem and if so, how have you resolved it?

https://maps.google.com/maps?q=elizabeth+fashion+abu+dhabi&hl=en&ll=24.493202,54.377367&spn=0.005155,0.009388&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=54.489258,93.076172&hq=elizabeth+fashion&hnear=Abu+Zabi+-+Abu+Dhabi+-+United+Arab+Emirates&t=h&z=17 - this is the address.

    Thanks alot

      Hey Eamon,

Our Google Map widget uses Google's maps API, which may not be 100% equal to their actualmaps service on their site, and it's not something we can control.

If the pin isn't accurate, you can also try to add a Google Map using the  HTML app . Simply add the code you receive from Google Maps

After finding the correct coordinates on Google map, You should click on the link button and copy the embed code .

      Thanks,

      Gill, Wix Team

Hi. I've been away, so only just seen your response. Here are screen shots from Chrome where the scroll goes to 2 lines and from Firefox where the scroll is shown.

      Hey,

I apologize for the inconvenience. Please note that I have visited your website's editor and your description on your Google map contains two lines. Like Nat mentioned - if you set words under each other, you will get a scroll bar. This cannot be changed at the moment. You can edit the description on your Google map and shorten it. Click 'set' when you finish and then publish your website.

Please let us know if you require any further assistance.

With respect I have gone back to the editor and shortened the address to the basic minimum - so that everything fits neatly onto one line in the settings. It looks great in the editor. I've now published and its worse than before - the bubble box has shrunk in width, forcing everything onto 2 lines. http://www.lowemartialarts.com/#!maps/chbr

      Hey,

Please try to remove the 'V' from the 'control map type' and re-mark it again as you can see in the screenshot below.

Please let us know if the issue was resolved and if you require any further help.

What browser are you using? In Firefox it looks no different.

      Hi,

When you close the popup text and add it again it is added in one line - however please note that there's very little we can do about it - the app just allows you to customize code according to google's API conveniently - we're simply embedding google's content on the site, we have no control over the way it looks on different browsers.

You can try to add a map code manually using a site like http://wikimapia.org/ and the HTML App. (Go to Connect -> A map at your site, copy the code and paste it to the HTML app).

    Hey Wix

I'm having a problem with Google Maps. When the page is online the description bubble is forcing a scroll bar and splits the company name onto 2 lines. If I use the letters of our name (LMA) the bubble narrows so much that only the scroll bar can be seen. In the editor it looks fine - no split lines - no scroll bars. Here's the page: http://www.lowemartialarts.com/#!maps/chbr  Hope you can help...

      Hey Mike,

The description is basically shown the way you set it in the text box.

If you set words under each other, you will get a scroll bar. This cannot be changed at the moment.

      Hey  Mike,

I checked your site via editor and live and I can't see the scroll bar you are referring to.

Do you see this on your editor as well? Please try using a different browser to see if this issue persists.

Please provide us with a screen shot of the problem. For instructions on how to take a screenshot, please use this link.

      Hello Joe,

Can you please describe your request in more detail, as we were unable to fully understand what you mean by  service radius in regard to the Google Maps app of your Wix site.

Awaiting your reply - we'll be happy to assist you!

As in highlighted areas on a map indicating where a company will come out to, or a pin with a colored radius around it indicating delivery range or service range so customers know whether they can receive services from your company.

My website www.cityhire.com.au has a location page and I have three outlets listed with maps.  I have had a few customers report that the map is displaying Chicago, not my specified addresses.

12 Herston Rd, Kelvin Grove, 4059, Qld, Australia.

1049 Michlin St, Moorooka, 4105, Qld, Australia.

679 Gympie Rd, Lawnton, 4501, Qld Australia.

Can you please check or advise if there is a problem.  I have seen this error once myself.

      Hi,

I've checked your site for you, and all the maps are displaying correctly.

Please advise your customers to clear your browser's cache. You can find step by step instructions here.

Other than that, please ask them what browsers they are using to view the site, and advise them to update them to the latest version.

      Best regards.

I can also see that Hi,

I can see your google map properly on my end.

Please try some of the solutions provided  here  to make sure that your issue is not a local one.

If the steps in the link didn't resolve your issues, please answer the questions in the same link.

By the way, I can see that when adding your domain to your account you chose to connect it using DNS ( which is great) but as you can see here, using a third-party site to check your domains NS records I can see that your domain name servers are not Wix's name servers.

To resolve this issue please send your domain hosting company the following message:

I have built a site at Wix.com. Please connect my domain to their name servers-   NS1.WIX.COM   (IP address 216.139.213.90) and   NS2.WIX.COM   (IP address   94.75.229.100 ).

Once this is done, please allow 72 hours for the changes to fully propagate.

Another thing is  to pay attention to your site  gridlines  because these can have a big influence on how your site is viewed on other devices and screens.

For more information regarding  gridlines click  here .

Possible to add store locations with a map?

Is it possible to add a map, created through "map your business" and add in the individual stores info? Or is there a better app to use for this?

    thanks!

HI! I don't know why this was grouped in with how do I use google maps. This did not answer my question. I need to know if I can have multiple locations on the map. There are a lot of stores across the country that I would like to point to. And then make a list of these stores as well as have 'dots' on the map indicating where the stores are.

      Is this possible?

      Hi,

If you use the Google map app, it will be possible to add one location only.

Please note that you can use our HTML app to add an external Google map with the option to add more than one location. For more information, click here.

Please take a minute to read through the Known Issues & Limitations of the HTML iFrame/Embed App via the link above before using this.

    Hi villa-rena,

Since this is information we get from Google Maps, it cannot be changed through  your Editor.

however, you can also try to add a Google Map using the HTML app, since it might be more accurate and suitable for you specific need. Simply add the code you receive from Google Maps.
