To downgrade your premium plan, you need to first cancel your plan and unassign it from your site. You can then purchase a more basic plan.

 

To cancel your current plan: Sign in to your Wix account > hover over Subscriptions > click Premium Plans > next to the relevant plan, click Manage > next to Next Payment, click Cancel payments.

 

After cancelling your plan, simply upgrade to the plan that you want: From My Sites > next to the relevant site, click Upgrade.
 

Note: Your current plan is only eligible for a full refund within the first 14 day trial period. If you would like to change your plan any time after the first 14 days, we suggest that you cancel your current plan and wait until your current contract runs out before purchasing a new plan.
 

Note: If you connected your own domain to your Wix site, you will have to reconnect your domain in the Domains section after canceling and purchasing a new plan. Click here for more information.

    Why can I No Longer Choose a Monthly Plan?

    Right before my yearly Premium upgrade expired I tried purchasing a month-to-month plan for around $15 and it wouldn't let me.  Now that my upgrade has expired, there's not option for ANY month-to-month plan!  I can't afford to pay $150 all at once right now for my website and I need it for my business!  Please fix this!!!

      In order to downgrade your plan from yearly to monthly, you need to cancel and repurchase a premium plan.

    Hi, I am from online media agency. I'd like to offer my leads to create website from wix. For any clients who doesnt have a credit card, we will use our credit card. Let's say we choose the yearly plan and the project between us and our client is for 3 months. After 3 months, can we remove our credit card information? Because after the project, we will give the wix's access in case they want to change any contents theirselves.

      Hi,

      In order to remove your credit card details, you will need to replace the existing credit card details with a different card.

      You can change your credit card number, billing name and billing address simply by entering Wix.com -> click on My Sites > click the user panel on the top right of the page > Billing & Payments > click Manage next to the relevant plan > Next to Payment method click on Update payment method.

      You can also open a new Wix account and transfer the site to the new account after 3 month.

      Please keep in mind: The site will transfer without a premium package.

      Thanks Dina for the explanation. BUt well, I have another question, So it would be better if I take monthly plan than yearly plan, right? So, i can transfer the site to another wix account after I downgrade the plan and my credit card information would be safe.

      Yes, a monthly plan would be a better solution but what do you mean by "  after I downgrade". I'm assuming that you are talking about canceling your Premium completely. You can do it at any given moment before the renewal date.

      Your client would need to purchase their own premium plan.

      I can confirm that you were refunded as per our 14 day trial period.

      Please allow up to 20 business days for the refund to settle in your account.

    I have downgraded using the instructions, but the "premium" banner still displays on my domain/site.

    I noticed the payment is not retro-actively refunded immediately, but the site continues in Premium status until May 25.

    Kindly let me know if this has been successfully downgraded to the "Free" status....

    I have purchased a monthly premium plan and by mistake it was cancelled after 15 mins. My id is 5f34746 and the invoice id is 102206901. Am i eligible for refund. Kindly reply at the earliest?

    can i down grade when i renew

    I have an ecommerce site that i'm not going to use that way now, it is due for renewal in June can i downgrade the site to one of the cheaper options. Thanks Ray

    extend my package in a dowgrade

    My premium package will be cancelled on 2013-05-18. I want to extend it but not to the unlimited package what i have now, i want to extend it to the combo package. I can't find it how to do it. please help me.

    On 03/13/14 we had a representative cancell the Mail Boxes $48.96 portion of our package. The Mail Boxes was never cancelled as we never got a credit for it on our credit card statement. Do you have a phone number to call? Thank you  -Sue Precht

      Please note: Google Apps Email purchases are non-refundable.

      When you no longer want to continue with your Google Apps Mailbox service, you just need to cancel to stop any further charges.

      fter cancelling an email account subscription, your email account will remain active until the next renewal date. After the renewal date, all mailboxes related to the email account will be cancelled and all data in the email account will be deleted with no option for retrieval or restoration of the data.

      I see that you have purchased an unlimited monthly plan for $15.95 per month. Is this what you were looking to do?

      Please clarify as to what exactly is the issue - which plan are you referring to as not being able to pay for?

    I have downgraded my package within the hour as i realised i clicked the wrong one will i still be charged for the yearly one as i am panicking as that money is accounted for  thank you

      Our records show that you have been refunded.

      Please note that if you cancelled, and were refunded within 24 hours of purchase, it is likely that the transaction was cancelled before the funds settled.
      If this is the case, instead of receiving a refund, the charge/s should simply drop away from your account.
