In order for an MP3 file to be uploaded, it must contain an ID3 tag.

An ID3 tag is a metadata container most often used in conjunction with the MP3 audio file format. It allows information such as the title, artist, album, track number and other information about the file to be stored in the file itself.

You can use an ID3 Tag Editor (found here for Windows, and here for Mac) to edit your MP3 files.

I need to have larger audio files available on my website.

Is there a way to do this withy an external app etc. or do I need to move my site to another provider?

Please note that I have tested it myself, and both links to the ID3 tag editor are correct.

I checked your site using Safari 7 (the latest version) and I was able to listen to all of the mp3 files on your site (it has a delay of 3 seconds but does work).

Please clear your browser's cache and give it another try. You can find step by step instructions here.

Please tell us how it went and whether you need any further assistance,

I'm just having trouble uploading a lousy powerpoint audio.  with only 10 mb limit, why don't I have more storage space?  I'm teaching my private class on my website and I have them listen to audio files on my website.  but I can't download them because the files are more than 10mb.  why is this a problem on the Premium package?  If this can't be fixed, then I don't need the premium plan.

There is no way of uploading a file that is larger than 10MB. At the moment the file size limits are as following:

      Pics: 10MB/.jpg, .png, and .gif
      Docs: 10MB/files
      Music: 10MB/.mp3

You can add a SoundCloud Playlist/Set to your HTML site!

You can use the free soundcloud package which gives you 120 minutes of free downloads. If you would like to have more options and upload more music through your Soundcloud account, please check out their packages here

You can also embed an external music player code (which you can find on the internet) - using our HTML app!

We'll keep you posted once Wix players are added to the Editor!

For more information about the playlist click here.
For information about SoundCloud Audio click here.

      Hi Natty,

ok, how do I get a refund on my premium package. The only reason I signed on for it was to get more storage space to put up my audio assignments.  I don't want the premium package cancelled in 2015 but as soon as possible.   How do we go about doing that?

      Hey,

I am sorry you feel this way.

Please note that files that are bigger than 10Mb are not really suitable for websites and result in slow loading times.

However if you wish to use bigger files on your site, you can, please review the Dropbox App in the Wix App Market which is available within your editor.

You can cancel your upgrade at any time within the first 14 days and receive a full refund. Please be informed that it may take up to 20 business days for your refund to appear on your credit card statement. After the 14 days, you will not receive a refund.

If you would still like to cancel, please cancel your Premium packages first and then add your details in the link above. To cancel your packages, go to My Account > Manage Premium > click Cancel. You can find more information here.

Let us know should you require further assistance.

All the best, Dean - Wix Team

I am also struggling to upload any music. All mp3s are tagged and under 10mb. It'll start to upload, then after about 5 minutes will stop and say 'Error uploading file'. This is becoming very frustrating as everything else is working and looking good. Any suggestions? (I've been trying for 3 days now!!)

I installed the IP3 tag and still was not able to upload my music from windows files.  Was not happy with all the junk that came with that IP3 tag free download and spent a few hours flushing it all out of my computer.  What a mistake that was!  Wish it was as easy as the tutorial.  She had no problem....

      Hey claudytheartist

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing difficulties uploading your mp3 files.

Please try and upload the file to a dropbox account and send us the link to the file on your dropbox folder

Please make sure that the mp3 file was compiled as a mp3 file and not something else.
Also please check that your channel is set to "Stereo" instead of "Mono".

Please note that there are some characters you shouldn't use when uploading an .mp3 file as "<" and ">"

You can find more information here .
