Thank you for contacting Wix support.

I have looked into your domain, and found that it was indexed by Google on 17.8.14, which is good. This means that your site will be found by a search on Google.

You have indeed added titles and descriptions to each of you pages, which is good for SEO. Consider adding your images Alt Text for improving you SEO further. Instructions can be found here.

Please note that as we do provide SEO tools and advice, we can not guarantee any search ranking or results. Search results are completely defined by Google, and can only be influenced by actions taken by you, such as updating your site's content, writing the right descriptions etc.

Feel free to explore our SEO section in our Learning Center, as it contains a lot of useful information.

We are here should you require any further assistance.

The SEO wizard keeps telling me that my search phrases do not appear in the title, the description or in H1. Nowhere, in fact. That is just not the case, as far as I can tell. Please can you check it for me? It is doing my head in...

Your Home page's H1 tag is as follows:

      <h1 style="text-align: center;" class="font_0"><span class="color_22">tanz-zehlendorf </span><span style="font-family:signika,sans-serif;"><span style="font-weight:bold;"><span style="font-size:18px;"><span class="color_15">Ihr Wahl für Ballett, Breakdance, Hip Hop in Zehlendorf und Dahlem</span></span></span></span></h1>

I've ran the SEO Monitor tool test on your site, and got the following results:

As you can see in the H1 results, the SEO monitoring tool was able to pick up your site's H1 values.

Please let us know if you require any further assistance.

It's still not working. I go to the login screen, headed

      "SEO Wizard and Monitoring Tool
A step-by-step guide to improve your site's SEO"

and the first step is to choose a site. for which "You need to Login or Signup" (why? I have logged in already. Never mind.

I login, and the same page opens again. I repeat, circularity or what?

What screenshot do you need to see? It's the one here: http://promote.wix.com/seo/#/home/en

      Hello alipallyc,

Thank you for contacting Wix support.

While browsing on the web, your computer and browser stores various information. This build up of information can sometimes cause conflict.

Please clear your browser's cache. You can find step by step instructions here.

Please note that clearing your browser's cache will not resolve all issues.

We also recommend you to try and use different browsers and see if there is any difference.

Wix supports all major browsers (including IE, Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari), and all of those browsers support the ability to export favorites and bookmarks to the newly installed browser.

To download the latest Google Chrome browser please click here
To download the latest Firefox browser please click here
To download the latest Safari browser please click here

Hi I'm trying to access the SEO settings to verify on Bing and Google, but I do not have the SEO Google option in my editor?  The only thing that comes up on my SEO settings is the description and keywords.  I also tried to download the SEO monitoring tool, but it wants me to create a new site even though I already have one.  Thanks.

      Hello Nienke,

Please specify what information has not changed in the SEO Monitoring Tools report.

Note that its first priority to take meta-data from (title and description) is the homepage, not the general site's SEO settings.

In case the issue persists, please add screenshots of the report.

For instructions on how to take a screenshot, please use this link.

I am sorry are experiencing difficulties. The SEO monitoring tool analyzes your HOME page's data as you can see below:

The Wix SEO Monitoring Tool produces a report based on two search phrases, exactly as they are entered on the Tool's initial page.
Please make sure that you only add one search phrase per field (two in total, per report). The Wix SEO Monitoring Tool considers all of the text entered in either of the 'Search Phrase' fields as one search phrase. So, if you list multiple search phrases in either of the two fields, the Wix SEO Monitoring Tool will consider the entire list as one search phrase.
The search phrase should be inputted exactly as it appears in your site content. Please be aware that the Tool's analysis is case-sensitive. For example, if you enter "brain surgeon London, England" or "Surgeon in london, england", the SEO Monitoring Tool will not count instances of "surgeon in London, England".

Please let us know should you require any further assistance.

Thanks for your generic and unhelpful answer. If you would LOOK at the screen shots I included and actually READ my question, you'd see that my problem is that I have changed the description of the page to include the words I'm searching for but that the SEO wizard is NOT SEEING THEM! It's seeing the old text...even though I've published it with updated description.

PLEASE look at the screen shot of my settings and READ the site description. Then look at current description showing on the Wizard and READ the description that it sees. They do not match.

      I apologize for the inconvenience.

Please note that you have updated the GENERAL SEO settings.

Your home page meta data is currently set as follows:

Title: Cone Health | Infectious Disease | Travel Medicine | Greensboro, NC

Description: The Regional Center for Infectious Disease specializes in infectious disease prevention, patient care and research, as well as international travel medicine.

It does not contain the search phrase 'Cone Health Infectious Disease" as one search phrase, without the | in the middle (your general SEO settings contain it but the tool analyzes the HOME page).

Hi, I was wondering if someone could take a look at my wix site?

I'm using the SEO wizard and the report does not seem to be detecting the current content within my site and seems to be picking up on old content. I've since made improvements but the wizard does not register these.

Maybe the wizard is broken? I could send some screen shots if this would help.

    Many Thanks

      Hey Chanel,

      Thanks for contacting Wix Support.

I have checked your site and SEO settings, and everything seems well configured.

The only missing part is adding the key words to your images.

Images added to your Wix website can be found by image search engines such as Google Image Search. This means that you can drive traffic to your site with your images!

      What are image names?

      • Providing names for your images is done using what is called Alt Text.
      • Alt Text provides users and search engines with information about your images. Search engine robots are unable to “read” images - only text. Alt Text provides information about your images to search engines.

Which of Your Images Should Have Alt Text?

      • Images that add information or value to the user. Decorative images that are merely aesthetic and are not relevant to your site’s content, do not need Alt Texts.

How to Add Alt Text to Your images?

With Wix, it’s easy! Simply follow these steps:

      1) Within the website editor, click on your image gallery.
      2) From the gallery property panel, click Organize Images.
      3) From the Organize Images panel, select the image you want to update.
      4) Add a Title to the image. The title will be associated by search engines to your image and will help them understand it. The title will also be used as alt text.

      5) You can also add more general details about the image in the Description area. Search engines will associate the description with your image and can better index it.

Note: The image title and description are the latest schema.org html standard and recommended by the major search engines.
