Yes! Adding titles and descriptions to your site's images helps Google Image Search to find your images, thereby making your site appear in Google Image search results as well as regular Google search results.

      Hi Peter,

      Thanks for contacting Wix!

You can add more than one menu bar to your site but the all tabs will be the same. In order to create different menus on your site you need to use buttons.

Add a button to your site from the Buttons & Menus section of the Add list and link it to an external site, a page from your site, a document or an email address.

      To add a button:
      1. From the left in the Editor, click the Add icon.
      2. From the Add list, click Buttons & Menus. Click one of the button options.
      3. From the Button Settings window, under Button Text, type a name for your button.
      4. Under Link to, click the field.
      5. From the Link Settings window that opens, click your Link type: Web Address, Page, Email or Document and add your link.
      6. From the Link Settings window, click Done.
      7. Click outside of the button to close the Button Settings window.
A button is added to your site.
Note: To return to Add , click Back to Add from the top of the window. To close Add, click X from the top right.
For more information about buttons click here.

For any further assistance, please let us know.

      Thanks, Rony

    Hello Wix,

I have just used WIX SEO tool and get report for my keywords: Ogradice za bebe and ogradica za bebe.

I have received report. Please find attached it Wix SEO report.docx.

Please answer to me next points:

For the title it is said that I should add search phrases ogradice za bebe and ogradica za bebe. As I can see in SEO Google (within Editor settings) my title is like this: "Kiddy Joy | ogradice za bebe | Beograd | Srbija" so I have one of search phrases in it. I don't know why am I receiving recommendation for it?

The same is also for Description but in the description I have search phrase "ogradice za bebe".

I don't know why it is mentioned in Report. Please explain me?

Please be aware that your page meta data is given priority over your site meta data. This allows you to use a unique title and description for each page, relevant to that page's content.

This means that if you have filled in your home page meta data, it will be displayed in Google search results. Remember, if it is deemed weak or incomplete, Google will choose the next most relevant content on the page to display, so make sure to fill these out fully.

Your site meta data will be used when your page meta data is blank.

In addition, the SEO Monitoring Tool generates a 'Home Page Report', meaning that your home page meta data is analyzed.

Your home page meta data is currently set as follows:

Title: Početna | Slike naših ogradica na radost vaših bebica.

Description: Slike naših ogradica na radost vaših bebica.

Be sure to update your home page meta data (as well as the meta data of other pages). To add/modify meta data for your site or pages please click here.

Remember, whenever you make changes to your website, these changes need to be crawled again by search engines, such as Google, before they appear in search results.

It can take anywhere from 1 to 3 months for Google to update its database. To speed the process you can re-submit, if you haven’t already, your website directly to Google through http://www.google.com/addurl

    Hey deonnaclarkson,

Alt Text is not yet available for product gallery images.

Our team is working on ensuring that all Alt Text is visible to search engines - including Alt Text for images that are within an eCommerce Product Gallery."

The above statement from your team was obviously rubbish!!

Now you have put this automatic filling of the image Title field into the galleries, which I find extremely annoying, as I have to blank it out EVERY time!!! I assume you have abandoned plans to have an Alt Title field in galleries specifically for SEO, and used the Title field instead? Rarely do images have descriptions when they are uploaded but have file names, which mean nothing. WHY WHY WHY have you built in the automation!

Create an Alt title field in all the galleries and leave the Title field alone! and populate the Alt Title fields in both the images and the Galleries automatically...

I have put in a request to be able to have the option to switch off this current functionality, because it is causing me lots of issues, plus with the title field filled the sites now look unprofessional and messy.

I dont mind it being used for SEO, it is the fact that it gets automatically populated now that is my issue! As once filled it appears as "rubbish" in gallery overviews and also appears as tooltip text under the cursor. I have already suggest that an option be built into the editor that allows an option of automatic filling or not. As usually when you load image files anyway you rarely would have filename information that would be relevant to a search engine without further manual manipulation, so what is the poit of automatically filling the filed???

Simply put ....Wix have used Title field in the Gallery as Alt text for SEO, instead of creating a separate Alt text field in the gallery. This would have been totally fine but then to put this next step in of automatically filling the misused field is totally stupid!

Please can you show me a wish or thread that has been requested by a user for this automated process to be put in place.

Title seems to be one the most important on-page factors. You should pay a close attention to the title tag.

Write a natural description for each image and make sure it reads well. This helps you in two ways: a) your site ranking will be  better in the image search

    b) Google often takes the Alt text to create a snippet for the SERP.

I've read through this thread and can not seem to find an answer to the "alt text" in slideshow. I have already added in titles and descriptions, however, this is clearly not "alt text." Has this been corrected yet, or is there another way to add this info?

Is there a way to access my images, so that I can add this info, before placing it on the site?

Please note that the text in the 'Title' field of your Gallery Images will function as the Alt Text. Google will also take into account the Image Description.

Responding in agreement to wetheusers post above, As a photographer i really don't want to alter the asthetics of my image by having a mouse over title or description showing. Alt text on galleries allows us to hit SEO targets whilst not ruining our images, similarly actually allowing full transparency of this text works. Currently when i set the text to full transparent in font colour this has no effect.
