      Hi,

Please be aware that it can take from 1 to 3 months for Google to update its database and for your site to be indexed. Finding your site using your relevant keywords may take even more time.

One way to speed up this process is to submit your website directly to search engines.

You can submit your website directly to Google here.
You can submit your website directly to Bing here.

Wix guarantees that all of the text and meta tags on your site are being scanned by search engines, however we cannot guarantee that Google will choose to assign your website a high rank, this part is up to you.

Make sure that your websites content has been optimized in accordance with the advice offered in our SEO Learning Center. We also recommend that you use the SEO Wizard & Monitoring tool for a more in depth analysis of your site’s SEO.

Please let us know if you require any further assistance.

Thank you Hercules, however, I seem to be going around in circles.  I don't care if it takes 3 months for people to find my site, but, I do care that no one can look at it by using my domain name.

I uploaded my site to Google straight away - and Bing/Yahoo.  I asked them to crawl my site, they advised me to download their details and upload them to my site.  Wix advised that I needed to add a new TXT to do this.  Then Wix advised that  you are managing my file and so you have to do it for me, just ask.  Please don't tell me again that it takes 1 3 months for google to crawl my site.

Can you please add a TXT to me site for me?

In order to ask google to crawl my site, you have advised that I need to add a new TXT.  My problem is that am not certain of the information to enter into the pop up boxes - Record:assume this is the google info?  Value????

Please help.  I cannot even GO TO my website online using the full domain address, is this normal? I realise that my site may not be searched for up to 3 months.

I just created a new website (first time) and I am unable to locate it in Google.  I followed Aline's suggestion "Replied by Alina April 4, 2014 You can now add a Google Author tag to your site's HTML header.".

I updated my profile in Google to include my URL, which is http://lynnjodoin1.wix.com/lynnjodoinva#.  While creating my website, I used the following SEOs:  Administrative Assistant, Virtual Administrative Assistant, Virtual Assistant Ottawa, Lynn Jodoin.

What am I doing wrong?  Obviously I am missing something.

You can now add a Google Author tag to your site's HTML header.

      Please follow these steps:

      In the Wix Editor:
      1. Open your editor
      2. Click 'Settings' > 'SEO (Google)' > 'Advanced SEO Settings'
      3. Paste the code in the following format:
      <link rel="author" href="https://plus.google.com/XXXXXXXXXXXX">
      or
      <link rel="publisher" href="https://plus.google.com/XXXXXXXXXXXX">

(the XXXXXXX should be replaced with your own Google+ page)

      4. Click 'Apply'.

      In your Google+ profile:
      1. Click on the 'About' tab
      2. Find the Links Box
      3. Click Edit
      4. Add your site URL to the contributor field
      5. Click Apply

Please let us know should you require any further assistance.

      Thanks,

I've recently put our church website together www.mosborough-elim.co.uk - yet like many I've done the SEO settings and linked everything to keywords yet it diverts every search about elim and mosborough back to the old site which still has a 28 days to run before it officially closes down....

Our old site now has a 404-error on it which I'm trying to resolve as well with my old service provider....aaagh

      Hi,

      Thanks for contacting Wix support.

To my understanding your domain was pointed to a different site in the past. In google when you search for it, you'll be  pointed to the Wix site. You can try it!

Please note that the SEO settings you have filled in will update within a period of 1-3 months.
