Conversion pixels allow you to track and analyze the behavior of incoming traffic from your ads. The following workaround will allow you to track how effective your ads are in relation to sales on your Wix site:

1) Set up your Google\Facebook advertiser account for conversion tracking. You can find more information about the Google Adwords conversion pixel here, and about the Facebook conversion pixel here.

2) Open the Editor, and add a ‘Thank You’ page to your Online Store by following the instructions here.

3) Add the code that you generated in your advertiser account to your ‘Thank You’ page, using the HTML App. You can find more information about the HTML App here.

4) Save and Publish your site.

As part of our efforts to improve the compatibility of Wix sites with external tracking tools, we are working on adding the ability to track additional conversions on Wix sites.

We want to hear from you! Please let us know the following:

1) The type of conversions you would like to track (e.g. sales, contact form submission, etc.)

2)  The value you would assign to each conversion (if any)

3) The service you would like to use to create the conversion pixel (e.g. Google Adwords, Facebook Ads, etc.)

If you have any other questions or requests regarding conversion pixels, feel free to post them on this thread.

Hi there, if I do not have a shopping cart, does this means I cannot add google adword conversion tracking into my website?

      Hi,

You can manually add the conversion pixel to whatever page you like. However, keep in mind that a conversion pixel is meant to be placed on pages that can be reached only after completing the action you are tracking.

If you put the conversion pixel on your home page, it will record conversions but will not provide you with any valuable information. A conversion will only have value if it can help you understand what is the return on your investment (ROI).

Information about the amount of users buying a product from you after clicking on your ad is valuable while information about the amount of users reaching your home page after clicking on your ad is not, in terms of ROI.

Having said that, if there is a specific action you would like to track and can't, please answer the questions in the best reply so that we can better understand what types of conversions you are interested in.

      Thanks

Hi there, my site is www.totalsecurity.com.sg and we want to track if anyone input their information at the contact form. How can I track when I do not have shopping cart to add a "Thank You" page? Thanks.

      Hello,

It is possible only using Google Analytics' tracking code, which is impossible via Wix. You can only manage the analytics of your site (or homepage) via the Google Analytics tracking ID.

    adding google conversion tracker

I am trying to add Google AdWords' conversion tracker to my appointment booking page, and I'm not sure I'm doing it right. It gives me an HTML code to add to the page, however, I don't know if the simple little HTML box added to the page will do the trick. It says to add the code between the <body><body> section of my page's html... So I'm wondering, will the little html app box work, or do I need to contact Wix's web people to have them add it?

    Thanks so much!

This is absolutely crazy! So from what I can gather from above, we are unable to do basic re-marketing (i.e. add a tracking pixel) to our Wix website? This is a basic form of advertising. Please can someone reply and confirm that this is correct?

Setting up a "thank you" page is not an adequate response to my question as this does not allow me to re-market to people who have previously visited my site.

    adding tracking pixel

    Hi there,

I have signed up to a remarketing software which enables me to remarketing to customers who have already been on my site. To set it up, I need to insert a tracking pixel on either "all" or "some of the pages" on my site - ideally it should show on all pages. The tracking code needs to be insert before the </body> tag on all pages on your website that I want to track.

Can someone advise me on how I can do this?

    Thank you.

      Hi,

What remarketing software are you referring to?

You can try adding your code inside an iFrame to each of your site's pages separately and it will be placed inside the <body> section of your site.

You can also use Google remarketing by following the instructions on this thread

Thank you and I await your reply.

I am trying to use Adroll's technology. It is similar to Google remarketing in that it requires a tracking pixel to be added to each page. I tried using the iframe, but it appeared as a grey box on each page which looks really odd, and poor from an aesthetic perspective. Any other advice? Or is there some way that the iframe can be invisible?

      Replied by Adam F July 2, 2014

      Hi,

You can't make the iFrame invisible but you make it much much smaller or place it behind a different component so that it does not hurt the design of the page.
