    Hi there,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Please note that the amount of bandwidth consumed by such bots is negligible, and will not affect the bandwidth allocated to your Wix site.

I am finding that bots are getting through and sitting on our site.  What do you have in place to catch these? Bots eat up bandwidth.

I have been told by several marketing agencies that Wix does not rank well as it has something to do with links and being penalized by Google.

Please assist in answering these questions.

    Thank you.

      Hi,

I'm not sure which bots you're referring to, if you'll provide us with more information, we'd love to take a closer lok.

Regarding wix being penalized by google, this is simply not true, wix sites are structured like any other HTML5 sites and can be ranked very highly on google, we assure you there are no SEO issues with Wix sites.

    Hello,

I am from Czech Republic ( one of four markets around the World where Google is not No#1 on search engine market ). Unfortunately, Czech 2nd biggest search engine Seznam.cz cannot read WIX based pages properly. Please compare for example query "site:www.petrsapik.cz" on both Seznam.cz and Google.

Since I cannot ignore Seznam.cz users or better to say traffic from Seznam.cz, I am afraid this issue is the only reason why I am forced to look around for another web builder.

Do you think you will be able to - by any chance - solve this problem?

    Thanks a million!

      Hi,

You can submit your website to Seznam.cz, just like you can submit it to Google or to Bing! Here's a link to Seznam's submitting tool.

    PLS HELP

THIS IS THE MESAGE I GOT FROM MY SEO TEAM  ( WWW.BELLACASAINDIA.COM )

    1. I want to recommend you to change the platform of the website( WIX.COM ). We are unable to create separate pages on this site as the current version is created on Wix.

    2. Moreover this is not healthy for the site to have it on Wix on long run as the chances of getting penalised is high due to the out going links to Wix.

Let us get on a call discuss further as per your convenience.

    Thanks & Regards,

Please note that, as mentioned above, Wix sites are search engine friendly, as we guarantee that all of your site content is able to be crawled and indexed by search engines.

All of the pages on your Wix site are able to be crawled and indexed by Google. Please note that the URL of your Wix site has been built specifically to enable search engines to locate your site content more easily.

For more information about deep linking click here.

Please note that the claims you mentioned are incorrect. They may be made due to an inability by the source to properly analyze Wix sites. Wix sites use Ajax crawling as a way for search engines to read your website’s code. With Ajax Crawling, your content, data and design are merged together and extracted far easier and quicker by search engines. For more information click here.

As Ajax technology is relatively new, some external SEO tools may not be able to read it properly. We cannot recommend any external SEO tools, however, Wix does offer the SEO Monitoring Tool.

I recommend reading more about SEO and your Wix site in our SEO Support Center Pages.

Please note that all of your site content is indeed crawlable by search engines. Wix guarantees that all of the text and meta tags on your site are being scanned by search engines, however we cannot guarantee that Google will choose to assign your website a high rank, this part is up to you.

Please specify as to the exact issue you are referring to, so we can better assist you.

We have checked all the necessary coding from our side and we can see that everything is in order.

We have also seen that the last time Google crawled your site was 02/03/2014, which is great.

To see if Google has indexed your website, as well as the last time your site was indexed i.e. to see a cached version of your website, enter your website’s URL with the word “cache:” before it in the Google search. For example, cache:www.mydomain.com. If your website comes up, this means that Google has already indexed it.

Please note that your Wix site having been indexed is not the same as attaining a high rank according to a specific keyword phrase. Attaining a high ranking according to those keyword phrases may take time and continuous work.

If your website is not appearing in search engine results when you perform a search using specific keywords, you may need to continue the process of Search Engine Optimization. To help you get the results you want, please read out SEO Learning Center pages for tips and advice.

Please check here for more information about keywords and keyword density.

Another explanation could be that you have employed certain techniques that have dropped your website’s page rank. You can read about these techniques in detail here.

With the Wix SEO Monitoring Tool you will receive a Step by step guide to improve your site's SEO.

In addition, you can also target what your customers are searching for and it will help your site to get found on Google.

You may also consider using Google Webmaster Tools to help you in the optimization process.

You may also consider using Google Webmaster Tools to help you in the optimization process.

After reviewing your site, I can see a number of issues that need to be addressed, in order to ensure that your site content is properly optimized:

      - Your header is too long, placing all of your site content too low on the page. This can cause a decrease in retention of site visitors, with your site visitors leaving after not finding any content right away. To resolve this, please make sure to shorten your site's header by moving the components on your header upward, and then clicking the drag handle on the bottom of your header and dragging it upward.

      - Your site pages lack unique title and description meta tags that are relevant to each page's content. For example, one of your site pages has the title "wix Lounge NYC". Please make sure to add coherent titles and descriptions that incorporate your keywords organically (instead of simply listing them) and are relevant to the specific page's content.

Be sure to update your home page meta data (as well as the meta data of other pages). To add/modify meta data for your site or pages please click here.

      - Your images are not properly optimized. For information about optimizing your standalone images for Google Images search click here.

Please note that the text in the 'title' field of your Gallery Images will function as the alt text. Google will also take into account the image description.

For more information about adding a title and description to your gallery images click here.

      - Your site lacks an h1 tag. We recommend that you set one H1 tag for your entire site, and place it in your site's header or footer. More information about setting an H1 tag can be found in How do I add H1 heading?

Please make sure to resolve the aforementioned issues, and review the information in the links provided above to ensure that your site content is properly optimized.

      Hi,

If you want to view your new HTML website exactly as Google and other search engines see it, you cannot simply right click on the live site and select to view the source code - this is how it worked for the Wix Flash websites, but not for the HTML5 sites.

What you need to do to view the HTML website as Google does, is simply add "?_escaped_fragment_" to the end of your websites domain name. Eg. www.mydomain.com/?_escaped_fragment_ Once you are viewing the ?_escaped_fragment_ version of your website, you can now right click to View Source Code, but this is only if you are interested in viewing the source code.

Otherwise, seeing the  ?_escaped_fragment_ version of your website is a nice way to see how Google is viewing your website.

We can assure you that all of your Page Meta Tags are been crawled and recognized by search engines. A lot of time and thought has been put into the SEO side of this new product.

my site, ShakeRattleRollPianos.com, just got re-done 2 weeks ago, but the website description on Google is NOT the paragraph i wrote in your SEO section, but rather other text Google pulled from my homepage --- whats going on?

Also, I had a professional assessment done on my SEO standings on Google, and the report found that the age of my Wix site, which has been there for over a year, could not be determined by the crawler, and was therefore hurting my SEO ranking.   Other factors were similarly being hurt, and my assessment told me I should leave Wix.  Why isn't Wix able to assist in these SEO issues?  I am losing business...please advise.  Thanks.

      Hi,

I understand the urgency of the matter to you.

Though, you have to wait until Google recrawls your site - this is a standard procedure.

Every time you republish your site it delays further the changes from taking place.

I have reviewed your SEO settings again and everything seems to be at place as before and I could not detect any spelling errors when searching your site in Google.

Please post here the results you are referring to so we can examine them.

In order to take this issue further we have to rule out the possibility that Google has not recrawled your site yet, which is very likely since it takes time for this process to occur.

If the above does not turn out to be true I assure you we will do all that is possible to help you and see this issue sorted out.

Cnames are a type of domain record, you do not have a domain as you are a free user. You must upgrade and acquire a domain in order to connect it and set name servers and records.
