    That is outrageous!!!  You advertise a free website, then mar a page to force people to pay!!!  You are criminal!!!

      The Wix design platform is totally free for any user.

      We do have a premium offer for a small fee that enables our users to get more storage and bandwidth if they need it, the option to remove the Wix tags, and the option to connect their Wix design to their own domain name.


      You can find out more about it here .

       

      If you don’t need any of these options then you can use it for free as much as you like.

      Hey, Danna,

      You totally dodged the issue.  I don't care if the WIX tags are here and there but on my "Reels" page, when I go to "Preview", two thick WIX bars go completely across the page, blanking out my text and my images.  Whaaaaa?  I cannot get them off!!!  Are you saying I have to PAY to get them off?

      I give up.  You win.  Another blank page.  I will design my reels page so that the bars are part of the design.  They won't even show.  Ha!  I am so angry.  I wish I had never used Wix.  I will go elsewhere as soon as I can.

      I can see that you haven't published your site yet- note that the top bar appears only in preview mode and would not appear on the live site.

      The logo on the top-right and the bottom ad strip will show on the live free site.

    hello , I wanna remove  wix adds from header and footer , I have 4 wix pages , how Much it costs ? I can buy one combo account and remove all the ads ( pages ) with one  combo acount ?

      Your domain www.oregonwrestler.com is  connected properly to your site and does not have Wix adds any more.

       

      Please note: the access to the account is possible with a registered e-mail and a password.

      If you want to restrict the access, you can change your registered e-mail or password.

       

      To change your email address: Sign in to your Wix account > click My Sites > hover over the user panel at the top right of the page > click Account Settings > next to Email Address, enter your new email address > click Save Changes.


      You can also change your user name and password on this page.

      I've replied to your question in the following thread. Please note there are no Wix ads displayed on premium sites. Your site is not displaying Wix ads, as seen below:

       

       

      If you can still see ads, while browsing on the web, your computer and browser stores various information. This build up of information can sometimes cause conflict.


      Please clear your browser's cache. You can find step by step instructions here.
       

      Please address the issues in the following thread as your site has domain issues and the site is currently down due to these issues.

      Hi,

      I checked your domain connection again and I saw, your domain: monrosehealthandbeauty.compointing configuration in your registrar (not Wix, but your actual domain host) is incorrect.
      To fix this, please follow the instructions here.

       

      Please keep in mind: Please Note: Wix does NOT Recommend Pointing 

      Instead we recommend connecting your domain to Wix using Wix name servers.
       
      DNS is the management of your domain – i.e. you use it anytime you point your domain to an IP address, redirect emails to your email host or connect different subdomains to different servers.
      Pointing your domain to the Wix IP means that your domain host retains control of your DNS and simply points your domain to the Wix servers. 
      The difference between pointing to the Wix IP or connecting with name servers is really a difference in who has control over your DNS – Wix or your domain host.
       
      The primary reason we recommend connecting your domain to Wix using Wix name servers is that the Wix IP address might change in order to prevent your site from going down. This happens from time to time when natural disasters, server problem and other problems occur. 
      In such events, domains connected to Wix by name servers will automatically have their DNS records updated. However, domains that are connected to Wix by IP pointing will not work until you request the new IP# from us and then manually make the changes with your domain host. This will result in a much longer down time.

      Thank you for contacting the Wix support team.

      It is not possible to transfer a domain during the initial 60 day period after registering the domain. This is in accordance with the regulations established by ICANN (the domain regulatory body), and cannot be circumvented by Wix. This limitation applies to both incoming (to Wix) and outgoing (away from Wix) transfers.
       
      If you are unable to transfer your domain to Wix due to this limitation, please note that you are able to connect your domain to Wix in the meantime. For information about connecting your domain to Wix, click here.
       
      If you are unable to transfer your domain away from Wix due to this limitation, please note that you are able to point your domain away from Wix in the meantime. To point your domain to a different IP address, you will need to modify the domain's A records. You will need to contact your new host and request for the relevant IP address. For more information about how to edit your A records, click here.

      I could see that the connection is not successful yet. When did you configure it and what where the details you provided?

      Please remember that we suggest, connecting via Name servers.

      Hi,

      I am sorry for the confusion,

      Please contact your domain host and let them know you want to connect your site to WIX.

      Wix's name servers are:

      NS1.WIX.COM (IP address 216.139.213.90)

      NS2.WIX.COM (IP address 95.211.144.195)
       

      When connecting your domain to Wix's name servers there are two important steps that you must complete.
       

      1. Make sure that you have added the domain in your Wix account.
      For more information, please click here.
       
      2. Contact your domain host and ask them to connect your domain to Wix's the name servers (ns1.wix.com & ns2.wix.com).
       
      Both of these steps are essential and the omission of either will result in a domain that is not properly connected.

      Once you have updated your Name servers note that it may take up to 72 hours for the changes to fully propagate and you website to be fully live.

       

      Should more than 72 hours have passed do not hesitate in contacting us.

    want to remove Wix Adds & run online store. 

    If i buy simple Domain (no package) from Wix & also upgrade email option would that be enough to remove Wix adds And run a store?

      If you wish to run the online store upgrade with an eCommerce premium plan, this also includes removal of Wix ads, enabling a domain connection and the yearly eCommerce plan also includes a free domain for 1 year in a voucher. An email address in any case will need to be purchased separately.

    Have Premium Wix plan, but no voucher for 1-year free domain?

        I've been using my premium Wix plan for 2 years now, and had a Godaddy domain linked to it, but was still getting Wix Ads. I read around and found out that Wix has problems with such things, so I cancelled my Godaddy domain to get a Wix domain to get rid of the ads.

        Now, I've never accepted or used a domain voucher from Wix after purchasing the yearly premium plan, and am wondering if I am eligible to receive one. Thanks in advance!

      Thank you for contacting us. I have merged your post to a relevant thread.  The Wix ads appear on free sites as well as on premium sites upgraded using the connect domain plan. This plan includes connecting your own domain, but does not remove the Wix ads, nor does it include a free domain for a year.

       

      As explained in the best reply above, only the Combo, Unlimited, and eCommerce plans will remove Wix ads from your site. Those yearly plans also include a free domain for one year.

          Thank you for the quick reply. I understand now, but is there any way to upgrade or switch plans to combo or unlimited and pay a small difference since I am already paying ~$50 a year and now basically have no site?

    Hi,

    I recently transferred over my old site to a new HTML site. I had the yearly plan on, that removed the Wix ads but it seems to be back on the site. I have tried clearing the cache etc but still no change. 

    Could you please help..

      Please note that the Connect Domain Premium plan does not remove the Wix ads - if you wish to remove them, please upgrade your site with a different Premium plan.

    Is it possible to remove/delete these wix items on my website? 

    Wix items:

    1. 'Create a WIX site!'

    2. 'This site was created using WIX.com. Create your own for FREE'

    If this is possible to remove can you please advise the process to remove these items from my website please?

    I have just recently created a new site with HTML 5 our previous was flash.  We have the combo package ($99) on the flash site.  When I transferred premium to the HTML it looks like we are under a new package ($49) and the wix ads are now appearing in the header and footer.  What can I do to change this?

      I have checked your account records and noticed that the package assigned to your HTML5 site is the basic Connect Domain package. 

       

      A Combo package that may have been assigned to your old Flash site was cancelled in 2011.

       

      You can find your billing information simply by clicking on My Sites > click the user panel on the top right of the page > click Billing & Payments.

      What is this news feed you would like to remove? If you refer to advertisements of Wix, please note I was not able to locate any of those on your website.
