Yes! From your Wix Store Manager, you can set shipping and tax rules per destination, add a flat handling fee or include tax in your product's price.

To set Shipping or Tax Rules: To add Tax Rules: Click your Product Gallery to select it > from the pop-up menu, click Manage Store > click the Shipping or Tax tab.

For more information on setting Shipping Rules, click here.

Note: If you have set up shipping and tax options on your merchant account, you will need to remove these settings before using the Wix Store Manager shipping and tax settings.

If you want to create shipping or tax rules that are not currently available in the Wix online store, please post your requests in this thread.

      Hey mlok71 ,

I tested your site on my end, and at checkout, the only additional fee I saw was for shipping, as you can see below:

Please verify that you haven't added any tax rules on Paypal.

Please let us know should you require further assistance.

As currently programed the WIX system will not collect sales tax on shipping.  If you are running an on line store in a state like Washington which requires you collect sales tax on all shipping except auto freight you are going to have a lot of explaining to do when you get audited.  I have be thru about 10 audits in Washington state and I can guarantee this is one of the first things the auditor will look at.  Best to put pressure on them to fix this soon and in the mean time try to figure a work around.

Sorry, I think I ask the wrong question. How can I set the language of shipping destinations? I saw that it shows the Chinese language, I would like to change to English language and show it in English when selecting the shipping destinations. Thank you.

      I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

What defines the country names' language is the browser language settings. Since Wix doesn't support Chinese the rest of the default texts appear in English but the country names are coming from a source that supports many languages.

Please keep in mind that en users won't see the list in Chinese, but in English.

We plan to offer users to set their site's language but I'm afraid we won't be able to provide an ETA for this feature.

Please let us know should you require any further assistance.

Need to set delivery/shipping rate by zip code in NYC

We hand deliver some of our more delicate baked goods in NYC only. We need to set delivery fees at the zip code level for those, and shipping rates for everything else. Is there a way to set shipping rates at a level more detailed than the State?

I have difficulties at setting up shipment destinations. Everything is written in English on the site, except the destinations, which are shown in my original, Hungarian language, hell knows why. How can i change it, as 99% of my customers are or speak English. Help!

I apologize for the inconvenience, we'd love to take a closer look. Where do they show up in the wrong language? (Editor? Manage store? live site?)

Please provide us with a screen shot of the problem. For instructions on how to take a screenshot, please use this link.

To upload the screenshot, simply click on the "Upload" button and follow the steps.

Doesn't the Shopify App or Site Plugin (confused on which one we have) calculate tax and shipping automatically? We'll be shipping all over the world. Since sales tax can vary by city and/or county just here in the US, it won't be just by state and country. To research every single possible location's tax rate and shipping cost is too time consuming and costly. There could be literally thousands of different rates I'd have to create rules individually - and manually. Is there a feed somewhere to auto create tax and shipping rules? I'd also think there would be a way to tap into an API on USPS or FedEx sites.

Also, supposedly we have a Shopify App that was purchased, but I'm not seeing it anywhere in the backend - just the eCommerce Dashboard.

Regarding how Shopify integrates tax and shipping calculations, please contact Shopify support:

      Email: wix-support@shopify.com
      Website: http://www.shopify.com/contact
      Phone: 1.888.746.7439

Please note that Wix's eCommerce platform supports shipping and tax calculation per state.

I've checked your account where you have the kearsleycouture.com domain, and you are correct: there isn't a Shopify App upgrade accosiated with this account.

If you need further assistance or information, please let us know,

Ok thanks Elia. Btw, what is the difference between Ecwid and Shopify apps? They both look like they do the same thing for tax and shipping, only Ecwid has a free version.

What about sales tax? Some US States do not have sales tax. How do you setup a way so they do not get charged when their state is selected from the drop down menu? -Rob G.

You can set independent shipping rules for each state.

Simply click on the "tax" tab in the store manager, and after you add a tax rule for the united states, click ok, and then click on the pencil icon (edit) and check the states you would like to apply this tax percentage to.

      Please see the screenshot below:

All this information is managed through Paypal as all the payment process is made from their end.

Once your customers choose all the products and click on the checkout buttons, they will be redirected automatically to the Paypal page where they will need to add personal information including the address.
