    Orders show as completed but IPN can't be turned on in Paypal because it requires a URL and I don't know what the URL should be for my Wix page.


    Please help

      Hi,

      The URL will be updated automatically.

      You can enter any URL address you like, for example: google.com

      After you will add the URL, our system will change it to a correct URL address.

      I turned it on with a url to my website.

      I immediately received the following from Paypal:

      "Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notification (IPN) messages. Messages sent to the following URL(s) are not being received:

      http://www.....

      If you do not recognize this URL, you may be using a service provider that is using IPN on your behalf. Please contact your service provider with the above information.

      Once you or your service provider fix this problem, you or your service provider can resend the failed messages from the IPN History page. If this problem continues, PayPal may disable the IPN feature for your account.

      Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue.

      Hi Cigarsciences,

      Thank you for contacting us.

       

      IPNs are sent by PayPal to a server notifying that a purchase was made. They are not useful unless a server on the receiving side handles them.

       

      Assuming you do not have such a server set-up, please log in to PayPal and go to: Profile > Instant Payment Notification Preferences (under Selling Preferences) - and make sure the URL sent to you by PayPal is not defined. 

       

      If it does, you may want to change this setting to "Do not receive IPN messages (Disabled)" and click "Save".

    Hi,

     

     

    Please note, for the orders to show in the orders tab, they need to be shown as completed in PayPal,

     

    To see the status of the order please login to your PayPal account > history > have a look at the status of the order > then if it is showing as completed > click on details and then send us a screen shot of the details page (see instructions below).

     

    If the status is showing anything else other than completed, please check the meaning directly with PayPal.

    They did though purchase thru paypal and my paypal info is in the payment info screen though.  I now know of two more people that it has happened to!  All of which have the payment "completed" on their end!

    Hi,

     

    Please note that the order does not appear under your Orders, which should happen pretty much immediately after purchase is complete.  

     

    The user must have not completed the PayPal purchase, which you can verify in your PayPal account.

    Please ask the user to try and make the purchase again, explain he was not charged. 

     

    If he claims he have ask him for the confirmation email or PayPal transaction ID.
