You can manage your orders from the Orders tab of the Wix Store Manager. This tab shows you a list of all of your orders.

To access the Orders tab: Click your Product Gallery to select it > from the pop-up menu, click Manage Store > select the Orders tab.

Note: You can also see your latest orders from your site's dashboard without having to open the Editor!

You can find more information about the Orders tab of the Wix Online Store here.

Note: It is not currently possible to receive email notifications when an order is placed in your Online Store, but this is certainly a feature that we are working on. You can vote for this feature in this thread.

How can I be notified by Wix, when there is a Purchase Order, by e-mail, by some sign?

    • Alina Wix Team

Replied by Alina November 8, 2013

      Hey,

You can set up your PayPal account to send you notification emails when a customer makes a purchase.

To receive notification emails from PayPal:

      1. Log into your PayPal account at https://www.paypal.com
      2. Under the My Account tab, click Profile.
      3. In the Account Information column, click Notifications.
      4. On the Notifications page, under Payment Notification, checkmark the box next to I receive PayPal Website Payments and Instant Purchase.

Your account is set up to receive notification emails.

Once a purchase has been made by one of your customers, Paypal will send you an email with all the details (amount, product description and amount, buyer info etc.).

Please let us know should you require any further assistance!

      Thanks,

      Alina, Wix Support Team

I picked up my first order on my website. This was the email i received from pay pal. I have tried all the suggestions on this thread. I have no idea what my customer ordered. Any ideas on how to correct this? Thanks

    Dear tracy kehr,

You received a payment of $99.80 USD from wendy thiessen. Please process your order right away.

This payment is now in your pending balance and temporarily unavailable. This money will be moved to your available balance and released to you in 21 days (as long as there are no problems with your orders).

Here are a few steps you can take:

Ship your item quickly. Then mark the item as shipped on the Transaction Details page. Estimated payment release date: Within 7 days of the delivery date.

If you provide a USPS, UPS, or FedEx tracking number, your estimated release date is within 3 days of the delivery date.

Have a product or service that doesn't need to be shipped (e-book, piano lessons, etc)? Mark your order as processed and provide details. Estimated payment release date: Within 7 days after you mark as processed.

For more information, log in to PayPal and click See how to get your money faster at the top of the page. You may also get the payment earlier if your buyer confirms that the item was delivered without any problems.

the reason the product is pending could be for a couple of reasons

for example, the buyer's address is not verified. In these cases our user (the seller) gets an email, very similar to a successful purchase notification, and can easily miss the pending issue. Funds, however, are not transferred to the merchant until the merchant logs into PayPal and approves the transaction. In which case we get a message from PayPal and update inventory.

      Thats great details,

Now please make sure that in the order history tab in PayPal the order status is showing as complete, if it is then click on details and send us a screen shot of the transaction details.

I found the full details of the transaction. The order is marked as complete. I contacted the buyer to make sure what of what she ordered. She actually ordered something different than what was on the detail sheet. I'm not sure if the problem was with the customer or a technical glitch. I just would like the orders to show up in the manage store page.

I had just gone through your account and I could see you chose to connect your domain via DNS (Which is great!) however, you have yet to configure your domain's NS records to point to Wix. You can see the results of a third-party DNS scan here.

At the moment, your domain is actually redirecting to your free Wix site, and that may be causing some of the glitches.

To solve this problem simply send your domain hosting company the following message:

I have built a site on Wix.com. Please connect my domain to their name servers- NS1.WIX.COM (IP address 216.139.213.90) and NS2.WIX.COM (IP address 94.75.229.100).

After sending your message, please allow up to 72 hours for changes to get updated (propagate).

After connecting your domain to Wix's NS, in case the order is shown as complete in Paypal and still does not appear in the Orders tab on the Wix-end, please follow the instructions here to resend the IPN message.

      Thanks,

      Hey  cristict2002,

You can try using the Shopify app to see if you can use your currency.

You can also add Currency Converter to your site to allow your clients to easily convert your pricing into their local currency.

When using our eCommerce store, it is currently not possible to allow pay on delivery.

      Thanks,

      hello,

After several weeks of work I am so mad. It was all in vain. Now you suggest to use Shopify - another payment or currency converter - another payment.

I want a simple thing; the client can send the command directly to the company. It is the company's job how to earn money. I can't collect the money on something that I have to produce in time order.

Online store can be done only for clients to see our product and to command them ?

      Hey cristict2002,

      1) I apologize for the inconvenience. I'd recommend creating a customized form with Wufoo and embedding it with the HTML Add-On if the checkout option isn't needed. To create a product catalogue, use our galleries

This feature is on our development roadmap and will be built in order of priority. Priority is based on the popularity of our Wishlist items, which is full to overflowing with your good ideas and feedback!

You can also suggest and vote for new features on the Wix wishlist here.

      2) I see that there is extra space in the home page, extending the site downwards. To remove it, click on the footer drag handle and drag it upwards:

I hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any further questions.

      Sincerely, Leah Wix Team

      Hey cristict2002

      Thanks for letting us know.

In order to use a form that is tailored to your specific needs, please consider creating one via the 123FormBuilder, that is available in our App Market, and add it on your Wix site.

In this form, you can allow users to choose products (from a drop down menu or manually add products) and fill the form in the manner that suits your business, and after they're finished filling it out - a document with their request will be sent to you via email to process it.

After you receive this email you will be able to process the order the way you wish.

Let us know should you require any further assistance.

Ok so when a customer places the order, it goes to paypal, paypal (assuming everything is set up correctly) will notify me of the order. When the order shows in paypal, HOW does it show? Many of my products are very similar so does it include a picture of the item ordered? or just the names of the items? Just wondering if I need to generate a list of SKU's to put into the names of each item.

      Hey jerriw,

Do you mean the option to add an inventory?

In order to add inventory, please click on your Online Store in the editor -> click "Manage Store" -> click on the relevant product inside the new window -> scroll down to "Options and Inventory" and check the "I want to manage inventory" box.

A new box will open where you can add the number of items in stock.

no I see that option, I need an option for an item # or sku # so I can easily differentiate between my products when the order comes through paypal. If a person ordered multiple items from my store, Paypal's Invoice would get very confusing as a lot of my products have very similar or Identical Product names. So a Sku or Item # field would be greatly beneficial. I attached a screen shot of the spot that mentions the SKU option.

    Hi

I've read through all these posts and I am trying to figure out how I know when I've got an order, when I do the first 2 steps there is an option for Account settings not account information and when I go into that there is nothing about Payment Notification, I've gone through other tabs and cant find that. Also once they have paid how do I know what they have ordered? Do Wix send an email about that? How would I tell on the paypal confirmation what the customers order actually is?

    Thanks.

I have just received this information from PayPal - slightly different to the instructions Wix is giving (perhaps just for those using Australian paypal?):

To start receiving Instant payment notifications:

Go to www.paypal.com.au and log in to your account.
Click 'Profile' near the top of the page.
    Click 'My selling tools.'
Click 'Update' beside Instant payment notifications.
    Click 'Choose IPN Settings.'

This enables you to send information to a URL in one's own website's back end
-- Which URL do I use here??

Thanks Nat, but my PayPal account does not provide the same options as your instructions detail. That's why I contacted PayPal directly and they gave me these different instructions.

Someone else from Wix has said:

"As for the IPN, you can add any random valid url.  Our coding will over right the url placed by PayPal.  Benny "

Does this mean I can put in a URL from my back end and it will end up with me receiving order details via email from PayPal?

Thanks a lot, feeling v confused!

    • Nat

Replied by Nat July 3, 2013

      I apologize for the confusion.

IPNs are sent by PayPal to a server notifying that a purchase was made. They are not useful unless a server on the receiving side handles them.

Assuming you do not have such a server set-up, please log in to PayPal and go to: Profile > Instant Payment Notification Preferences (under Selling Preferences) - and make sure the URL sent to you by PayPal is not defined.

If it does, you may want to change this setting to "Do not receive IPN messages (Disabled)" and click "Save".

Please don't hesitate to contact us again. Nat
