You can use Authorize.net or PayPal to accept direct credit card payments!

1. Authorize.netAccepts all major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express in your Wix Store.

2. Paypal.com: You can set up your shopping cart to accept direct credit cards payments from users without prompting them to sign into their PayPal account. The user would still be directed to a PayPal page, however, they would not be prompted to sign in.

Note: The ability to allow customers to pay via PayPal through Guest Checkout is determined by your local PayPal organization. For some countries, the customer will be required to create a PayPal account before they will be able to pay. For more information, click here.

To set up your Online Store payment options: Click your Product Gallery to select it > from the pop-up menu, click Manage Store > select the Payment & Currency tab.

Under Payment Method, click the drop down menu to select a method > enter the required information > click Save.

Note: Make sure that the Paypal Account Optional feature is turned on in your Paypal account. To learn more, please click here or contact Paypal directly.

Note: In order to use PayPal as the merchant account for your online store, you will need to have a Business or Premier PayPal account.
For more information please click here.

The same as for any other site.

The options above are the only current options for payment in Wix online stores.

this has been done correctly but you have the wrong package you need to up grade and purchase the eCommerce

So to upgrade your site, please go to My Account > click Upgrade your site under the site you want to upgrade.

You can find more information about how to upgrade and about Manage Premium here, or watch the video tutorial below:

Please note: The upgrade of a site doesn't have to do with the upgrade of an App. Each App was developed by a different third party company and has its own terms of use.

Upgrading your site entitles you to connecting your domain, among other premium benefits, according to each plan.

Wix gives you the opportunity of adding Apps to your site, both free and premium. It's your choice whether to use the free version, or to use the extra features that are activated when you upgrade it. That's why the upgrades are different.

The Apps available in the Wix App Market have different features, and not all of them need to be upgraded. For more information about the Wix App Market, please click here.

Hi, questions regarding payments with paypal:

i want my clients to able to make payments through paypal but without having to open an account with paypal(i only want that my clients can buy things only by introducing their card info and nothing else), how can i do that? and, is it necessary to have an ecommerce plan or i can do the same thing with the paypal bottom on a unlimited plan?

      Hey entrenadoresenlinea

In order to use the store- you would need to keep the eCommerce package and would not be able to use the Unlimited package.

You can set up your shopping cart to accept direct credit cards payments from users without prompting them to sign into their PayPal account. The user would still be directed to a PayPal page, however, they would not be prompted to sign in.

PayPal has just made some changes to their settings and packages, to allow your buyers to pay by PayPal you need to get a business account.

For more information please click here.

I have another possible solution for the HUGE SSL eCommerce Problem with Wix not allowing SSL page creation..  As you can see on www.CatExerciseToys.com  ,Credit Card Info. IS TAKEN on the the Wix page... using PayPal.   If you would like the direct contact for who handles security for PayPal, I would like to contact your business development department.

At present, this is allowing designers to provide an almost illegal option considering PCI compliance requirements..  Can't think of one singe thing Wix would prioritize over this issue with the growing list of Apps!!  Wild!!

I too thought that with a 'premium' package I could set up store. So I spend 2 days making it. I too then got the (WOS2034) message and after an hour of searching found it was because I actually needed to upgrade to commerce - having already found the screenshot below, ensuring me how easy it was to accept credit card payments. So I purchase it! Well you do don't you? When you're running out of time and sick of frustration. But now, does your easy step guide help? No - stuck at step 3. Step 3 does not exist! Grr

Please tell me how I can accept credit and debit card payments.

Please tell me how I can checkout on my website?

As I was told by Wix that I could before I made my purchase and wasted so much time.

      Hi

      1) in order at the moment to be able to accept credit card payment you must set this up in your paypal account.

For more information about the Wix Online Store click here.

      2) when you add a cart to your site, the user then clicks on the check out where they will be re directed to the merchant you have set the account up with.

If you can please let us know the name of the site you are referring to that would be great so we can give you a more detailed answer.

There have been several entries regarding allowing the customer to stay on a website and complete their shopping experience by paying directly without being linked to a PayPal page. PayPal has done their homework and provide a seamless way for the customer to stay in one place. The only answer I see from WIX is it has been put on the wish list. I have not been able to see any timeline when this will be available. I have spent a good part of the year developing my website and recently upgraded to ecommerce to launch my store only to find this hiccup. I would like more definitive answers and timeline.

I understand this...why can't the customer stay on the ecommerce site to complete the sale...to have the transaction be seamless- the billing and shipping details, and credit card information is handled on the WIX site, and the payment processing is handled behind the scenes at PayPal rather than switch to another page. When will this be available?

      Hey  ktboli4 ,

You will have to connect your Wix online store to a Merchant account. It is not possible to allow the payment process to be handled inside your Wix site.

Feel free to add your comments and votes here for feature requests related to the online store.

      Thanks,

This is the 2nd day using WIX for my eCommerce site.  From the start I have issues setting up the Domain and now I'm finding more hidden costs:

    1) Emails with mydomain.com - I have to pay for every mailbox.  Which other providers such as Anet give for free.

    2) With the eCommerce Premium package, I can NOT select my own merchant banks and limited to PayPal where the charges is not competitive.  My clients in the Asia Pacific regions only want to use the regional banks but WIX don't have.  Also, my company not able to adjust the code at Store/ Merchant to use local merchants.

WIX truly got a lot to offer if the website is only for a front and not to do business.  Also, I feel that the company is squeezing too much in making money and not offering features that are key for the customers such as free email boxes and flexibility to determine their own merchant banks.

I would like to thank WIX for the services so far and am very sad that my company will have to cancel our Premium eCommerce package with WIX.  If WIX can give me the flexibility to use my own merchant banks or payment methods and also free email using our purchased domain from WIX, we will give consideration.

    Thank you for your time.

I am sorry to see that you have been having trouble with your Wix site.

We have already started integrating with additional payment solutions - WebMoney (mainly for Russia) and Skrill for European Merchants. We are in the process of integrating with more solutions. Authorize.net is the next in line.

      Hi hezalnut,

Please note that I was unable to locate any sites associated with your account.

When setting up the Shopping Cart on your site, you are required to connect the site to your Business Paypal account. This means that all transactions and purchases made from your site are being processed and sent to your Business Paypal account. Remember, Wix is a platform that allows you to connect your site to your external Paypal Business account. We do not process or handle any of the payments made through the platform. For this information, please contact Paypal directly here .

      Gat Wix Team.
