You can add an Online Store to any Wix template or a site that you've built from scratch. It's free to try out in the Wix Editor, but you will need to upgrade to the eCommerce plan to start selling. For instructions on how to upgrade, click here.

 

To add an Online Store: From the left side of the Editor, click the Add icon > click Online Store > click Product Gallery > click Add to Page

From the Choose Collection window, select one of the collections > click OK.

 

Note: You'll be able to add additional collections or edit your existing collections, at any time, from the Wix Store Manager.

To access the Wix Store Manager: Click the Product Gallery to select it > from the pop-up menu, click Manage Store.

 

Don't forget to add a Shopping Cart to your site!

To add a Shopping Cart: From the left side of the Editor, click the Add icon > click Online Store > click Shopping Cart.

    How do I upload multiple products at once?

    I am setting up an online retail pet supply store.  I have all of the data in an Excel Spreadsheet.  How can I upload it all at once?  There are over 2,800 products.

    I have added items to collections only to find that they have been deleted or changed to items from another collection!  Even if I try to look at history, the items are still gone.  HOURS have been lost in creating these items!  Why am I losing products as I create new pages with new collections??  this is VERY frustrating!

    I have existing galleries with a large amount of products in various ranges. It was not initially intended to have the site as a means to buy directly. However, we now wish to sell these products online.

    Is it possible to convert the existing galleries into product galleries for the online store without having to recreate all of them from scratch?

      Unfortunately this is not possible at the moment.

      To add a product gallery, simply click on "Add" -> "Online Store" -> "Product Gallery".

      Please note that in order to use the online store you will have to upgrade to eCommerce premium plan.

      This plan includes connecting your domain, removing the Wix ads from your site and using the eCommerce feature. You can store up to 20GB with 10GB bandwidth and you get premium support with this plan!

      One more question: I see WIX doesn't yet have the option of allowing our customers to buy directly via the site with a credit card (they have to go through a third party like PayPal etc.). Is this a feature that WIX will likely get in the near future?

      In order to make sales you can add the online store to any template. Please note that this a Premium eCommerce package feature. You can try it out for free in the Wix Editor, but to start selling you'll need to upgrade to the Wix eCommerce package. For upgrading instructions, click here.

    i add the store, but don't have the option for customer to add they address, how am going to send the products with no address some one can helps please.

      Looking into your site I can see you have embedded your store using the HTML App, Since you don't use the Online Store feature we offer we have no control over your store's settings.

       

      Trying to checkout with your store I am redirected to cdbaby.com, I presume you will be able to control these settings in your account with them.

      hello, thank for your help. but am not talking about cd-baby store that for music.

      am talking about to sell my t.shirts enter to my store again the t.shirt and the checkout link. you din't see it because it was off, but now is on like that you can see it thank you.

      once your customer clicks on check out, they will be taken to your paypal page, where they will have the option to change the delivery address

    Hello Wix Team

    I have a question regarding the online store.

    If I test my online store and open a product to put it in my cart, I can only say Add to Cart but I can not enter how much I want to purchase from the product. Is this normal? Or am I doing something wrong?  I know I can change it if I go to my cart, but it would be useful to enter the amount already when I want to add it to my cart.

      Unfortunately this isn't possible at the moment. Your customers will have to go to their shopping cart and update the quantity to their products.

    Online Store

    Hi!

    I'm so new to this and don't even know where to start. I would like to create a web page for an online business I have been thinking on doing. It seems like a different language to me. I was referred here by someone who created theirs. Am I able to create checkouts, paypal, invoices, shipping here? I'm so lost please help me get started.

    Hi, before i launch my web i test out the online store by purchasing my own item. However i did not received any email notification and there is no update in the order tab of the online store. Is there a buffering time for the order to show up or is there currently problem with the system?

      Please note that in the order status in paypal it is showing as unclaimed, you will only see the orders in the store manager once the status in paypal is showing as completed. Please check directly what the status means.

      this should be the case, once its completed in PayPal then it will show in the store manager.

      I am sorry, even the status is stated completed, i still did not receive any orders from the order tab. When will the order show up? Upon complete purchase or is there any other criteria or something? So sorry, really feel helpless regarding this issue. Hopefully you can guide me through, thanks alot

      How to Set up IPN

      To set your IPN settings in Paypal (instant payment notification)

      Login to your PayPal account > history > IPN history> turn on IPN > receive IPN messages

      You may be asked to write something in the URL field. You can use any URL (e.g., http://google.com) since we override it when we report PayPal of the purchase.

    Wix - I have to say, I'm disappointed. I have critical (and basic) business needs that you currently do not provide. 

    1. Allowing customers to input quantity the same time they are adding items to the cart.

    2. Accepting payment through my site (not routing the customer through PayPal). 

    These two items directly affect my business. Whom can I contact about getting a refund on my Premium account until these items are added? I will have to sell on Etsy until then.

      Please make sure to vote in the Wishlist thread we raised for the topic of being able to select the quantity of the items directly from the product gallery. 

      Also, please post your ideas regarding payment gateways in the Wishlist thread we raised dealing with this topic.

      To cancel your premium upgrade please follow the directions here.
       
      -Each purchase is guaranteed a full refund only within the first 14 days of trial. 
      If you cancel your upgrade after our 14-day 100% money-back period, your Wix site will continue to receive premium status until the date when your current yearly/monthly payment ends. You will not be charged for the next payment period.
