    Hi

Please could you tell me if Wix websites can load on Windows Phones? I have tried finding the answer in the forum, but been unable to. You say in the 'best answer' above that:

"We currently support all browsers on iPhone and Android devices.

Please feel free to vote for other devices in this thread!"

Does this mean you currently don't support Windows Phone?

This is one of the phones I use, and I used to be able to load my site www.justbod.co.uk on this device but now it just freezes mid load.

    Many thanks

    Paul

      Hi Hércules

Thank you very much - I must apologise - I didn't see Windows Phone in the best reply before - and I 'cut and pasted' it - so I must have missed that line.

My site still does not seem to want to load on my windows phone - I am testing it using the same fibre-optic WIFI connection that I use for all my devices (a desktop, tablet and laptop which all load the site fine.) I have emptied the cache and all other websites seem to load just fine on my phone. The browser is Internet Explorer. Any ideas why it might not want to load? It just seems to freeze part way through. It used to load (very slowly) and the only thing I have changed recently is adding the EU Cookie app.

I have also tested my site today on webpagetest (less than a second to load) and Pingdom (2 seconds,) so no problems there.

Would you be able to test my site on a windows phone or make any suggestions?

      www.justbod.co.uk

      Many thanks

      Paul

      Hi Paul,

Please try disabling the cookie app - see if this helps.

In addition to this In order for us to further investigate this issue, please try to access the site with a different browser on your phone.

Please also let us know which windows phone model and version do you have.

      Thanks,

Many thanks Noa - I appreciate the support!

The phone is a Nokia Lumia 625 and the software is up to date.

The only other browser that I could find for a Windows Phone was UC Browser. I downloaded the app and tried my site again with the cookie app still enabled. It loaded in under 3 seconds with no problems, which is great!

I tried Internet Explorer again - same result as before - site 'part-loads' and then seems to freeze.

I tried disabling the Cookie app and again tried to load the site on Internet Explorer. No change - site 'part-loads' then freezes.

Hope this helps to investigate it further! At least I now have a browser on the phone that will load my website - so thank you for that!

      Paul

      Hello,

It appears that the browser is the one causing the problems, running a test on the Mobile Internet Explorer for Nokia Lumia 625 I can see it's not entirely supporting the HTML5 technology, you can review the results here.

All the reviews I encountered recommend the UC browser for your phone.

Let us know if you need anything else.

Many thanks! At least I know it's not me!

The UC browser is so much better, so finding that has been the bonus of this issue. Luckily I don't think very many of my customers have Windows phones.

Thanks for your help in this matter.

I couldn't recreate the problem. I was able to visit your site and it looks fine on an iPhone.

Are you able to visit the site from a mobile device?

70 % of mobile phone users who have tried accessing the site were unable to view the web site. They complained that it only shows a blank white space.

No letters, no pictures. i still need help to fix this up.

      Hey,

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing difficulties with your mobile site.
Unfortunately, I was not able to reproduce this issue on my end. As you can see in the attached screenshot below, your site loaded properly on my iPhone.

Please try using a different internet connection to view your site (3G, 4G, Wifi).

Please also try to clear your browser's cache on the mobile. For iPhone - Please follow the steps provided here. For Android devices - Please follow the steps provided here

If the issue persists please specify on which mobile device does this issue occur and also on which browser (and browser's version) so we can check this further on our end.

      Thanks,

      Hey,

Please note that if you are trying to use your site with your own domain, it will not be properly displayed on the mobile. You need to connect your domain through Wix.

If you are using the free Wix URL, your site should be properly displayed as you can see below:

To connect your site to a domain please visit our  Domain Portal or view the video below. The connection may take up to 72 hours to take effect.

    Please support Blackberry.

I build a website for our community - and most South African users ONLY use internet via their phones. This is a huge disappointment - don't know what to do now for them. Should i delete the site? http://ventersburg.wix.com Would be like ending a beautiful love affair - I am totally in love with wix beautiful templates and easy building. But the people that we want to engage with our site - is mostly using Blackberry and Opera Mini. Please-Please can Wix fix this

When I first built my site I tested it with multiple phone types and Blackberry worked fine at the time. How can you now not support Blackberry or all cell phones. This means WIX made a change which broke BlackBerry's ability to view. I will be porting my site to another web hosting company.

      Please note,

A user visiting your regular Wix URL from a supported device (currently: iPhone, iPad, Android or Blackberry- from version 6) will automatically be redirected to your Wix Mobile site. Please notice that Blackberry versions prior to 6 are not supported.

Why is it that I can see Wix.com perfectly fine on my Blackberry tablet, but not my own free Web site housed on Wix? Is there anything that I can do to get my free Web site visible and working like Wix.com?

FYI, Samsung commercially released its latest tablet with KitKat this weekend and it didn't render my Wix site, either.

Hi, I'm trying to view my free Wix Web site at http://contentmaven.wix.com/digital using my Blackberry Playbook tablet OS 2.1 . It won't allow me to view my site at all. White screen. I tried using https:// and my URL. I got the message: Verify the Certificate. The server certificate is not configured for the domain.

I can see Wix.com on my Blackberry Playbook tablet, but I can't open any template for Web or mobile from my Playbook tablet. Desktop and laptop viewing is fine, so far. The Blackberry Playbook tablet and the new Samsung tablet with the new version of KitKat are either not rendering the Wix sites correctly or blocking access. What can I do to get access to my Wix site on my Blackberry Playbook tablet?

      Hi,

We currently support all browsers on iPhone and Android devices. Meaning, Blackberry devices are not supported.

As for your Samsung tablet, please provide us a screenshot of it so we'll be able to further investigate the issue.

      Thank you for your cooperation,

      Tal, Wix Team
