You can choose to activate both the Optimized Mobile View and the Mobile Action Bar, or just one of these options.

Activating the Optimized Mobile View only will allow your visitors to see your mobile-optimized site from a smartphone device without the Mobile Action Bar.

Activating the Mobile Action Bar only will allow your visitors to see your regular desktop site from a smartphone device with the Mobile Action Bar add-on layer.

Activating both will allow your visitors to see both your mobile-optimized site with the Mobile Action Bar add-on layer from a smartphone device.

My new Wix mobile site will pull up under Wifi (I've only tried on iOS devices, however), but will redirect to the old site (by hostmonster) under cellular coverage. My Wix site went live in the last 24 hours. Is this a DNS issue? Or is there something I need to activate on the Wix editor?

      Thanks for contacting Wix Support.

      Your site is correctly connected.

I checked your site on my IPhone and it loads the same with Wi-fi or without. That points to a local issue at your end.

      Check: 3G

Wifi:I suggest clearing your phone's cache.

Problem is when I use my mobile phone (smart phone) to look at my web site I can not view it. It is actually looking at my old website(hosted by bcentral).  I have used internet explorer and Bing to access it and all I get is my old website.  When I go to my website on my PC the WIX site comes up every time.  What can I do to fix this?

Yes I activated the mobile site, with mobile-optimized site and with the Mobile Action Bar add-on.

Your help said to edit the "index" page, but I do not see an index page on the template.

    Thank you,  Sher

I used Wix to build my website.

Problem is when I use my mobile phone (smart phone) to look at my web site I can not view it. All I get is the over all background image, I don't get any other images showing up.

Would you know why so I can fix it. Yes I activated the the mobile site, with mobile-optimized site and with the Mobile Action Bar add-on.

Please note that Wix has two different platforms with different technologies.

Your current site was built on the Flash platform and the mobile site you wish to build can only be built from the HTML platform.

In order to do that, you must create a new site, using the HTML platform. Please go to Templates, choose the one you like, and start editing.

Once you're inside the editor, you can go to the mobile editor, by clicking on the mobile icon on the upper left.

Don't hesitate in contacting us again if you need further assistance.

      Hey mik053,

We had no issue viewing your site on our mobile devices, which leads us to believe this to be a local issue on your end.

While browsing on the web, your computer and browser stores various information. This build up of information can sometimes cause conflict.

Please clear your browser's cache. You can find step by step instructions here.

If you are still experiencing issues viewing your site, please let us know!
      Thank you,

Seriously? ONLY the HTML site templates can activate the "Optimized Mobile View" option? :(

This is disappointing. Do you plan to offer this option to people using Flash site templates anytime soon? (I really hope so!)

Unfortunately, no as truculently is it not possible to view Flash sites within mobile devices.

Please keep in mind: The "Optimized Mobile View version is based on the HTML template site .

You can check the HTML templates, maybe you will choose to create a new html site.

You can create your HTML site now by clicking 'Templates' and choosing an HTML template. For more information on how to get started, click here

Please note I checked your mobile site here and it seems to be working correctly. No need to create a new one.

As for the Optimized Mobile View, unfortunately this feature is only relevant to HTML5 sites at the moment (your site is a Flash site).

I don't want optimized view or anyone to mess around with how my website was previously displayed before wix ruined it with optimization that clearly de-optimize's it and makes it look unprofessional and crap.. how do i get rid of it as it will not allow me to change anything at all????

Why do Wix change things and make them look terrible when they all worked before. what do i pay for?.

We are sorry you feel that way. The optimized view is certainly not mandatory and you can turn it off with the toggle inside the mobile editor>mobile settings>mobile view.

Please let us know if you have further questions.

I'm confused...It was completely unclear that to have an optimized mobile site you couldn't have a flash based site. So after all this hunting I found directions to delete the mobile site I had, and I did. Now I see that this is only for HTML5. So I just threw away all that hard work. My choice is to do that again, or to redo my non mobile site. I am in the middle of a business address change and didn't need this extra work and confusion. So, I guess if I do have a few extra hours, I'll have to redo my site to HTML5. How do I go about doing this. Given what just happened, I'm a little apprehensive about now deleting my flash based site, and am worried I won't be able to easily find instructions on how to change my site to HTML. Please be more clear about the optimizing, that it's not for those of us with flash, and how to switch from a flash site to an HTML site.

I have to agree that it really stinks to advertise this feature to those of us with flash sites, not making it clear that we need to have an HTML site. And then to expect us to  start from scratch making a whole new site. That is just way to time consuming. If I have to start from scratch I might as well start over somewhere else.
