    Hi Wix Team,
I am having a similar issue with my website.
It does work on Ipads, however, unlike the desk/laptop version, the text is fixed on the background picture, which makes it very hard to read.

Is there a way to select an option to have tablet users see the same version of the site as other mobile users (smartphones,...). Although the mobile version is not quite as nice at least they could enjoy the content.

    Thanks.

    Geoffrey

      Hi Geoffrey,

Please provide us with screenshots exemplifying the issue so we could better understand and further assist. You can find step by step instructions here.

Please note that the mobile optimized version of your site will appear on smartphone devices only. Tablets will show your regular desktop site.

      Hello swrjack,

Thank you for contacting Wix support.

I can see that your Wix site is a Flash site. Please note that Flash is relatively an old technology and it is not supported in new apple and android devices.

With HTML sites however, we offer the Optimized Mobile View feature as a great mobile solution. With this feature a mobile-optimized site is automatically created for you from the contents of your desktop HTML website. Click here for more information.

This is an opportunity to use HTML5 platform and develop your site in what seems to be the leading platform for websites in the near future. In addition HTML5 is faster, better optimized for search engines, and gives a more professional look to the site. The site structure is a lot better, and it allows apps - which aren't available on flash here at Wix.

You can start building a new HTML site by either using a template or starting from scratch. For information about how to create a site from a template click here

      Thanks,

      Kind regards, Amit

Please provide us with a screenshot of what you see on your iPad when attempting to load your site.

      1.  Hold down the power button at the 'top' of the iPad.

      2.  While holding down the power button, quickly press the screen button at the bottom of the pad.

Mobile Site Does Not Work On Android

My Wix Site is connected to the web and the mobile app is enabled.  It works well on Iphones and some android products, but android tablets will not show my page.  The format is also different on Android.

How do I connect my mobile site to all mobile units?

    Thanks,

Wix Team.  My site, 24footwear.com only shows up as the mobile version on any iPad or tablet that I've tested it on.  Can someone please help me fix this.  :(

Your site is flash and ipad does not enable flash, therefore your mobile site is showing up.

Apple devices (iPod, iPads and iPhones) do not support flash, however Mac computers do.

This is a decision by Apple and we don't have any influence on that.

You can create an HTML5 site that would show both on PC and mobile devices and ipads.

You can create your HTML site now by clicking 'Create' and choosing an HTML template. For more information on how to get started, click here.

Thank you very much, Wix Team.

One more question.  Once I've created the HTML5 version of my site, will I be able to disable the Flash version of my site and switch it over to the HTML somehow?  Or is this something that you can do for me?

Otherwise, if given the proper instruction, I can do it myself.  Please advise.

      Hey,

You can move your premium status to your new HTML site, simply click on "Packages" on the top bar on your "My Account" tab -> Click on "Transfer" under "Wix Site" -> choose the site you want the premium status to be transferred to.

Please note that you will have to attach your domain to your updated site. You can do it via the Domain Manager when clicking on "Domains" on the top bar on your "My Account" tab -> Click "Manage" next to your domain -> Click "Change" next to "Wix Site" and choose the relevant site.

Please let us know should you require any further assistance.

      Thanks,

      Alina, Wix Support Team

    Hi,

I read the above complaint about I Pad users and mobile users and saw that if someone searches my website on an I Pad or mobile device, they will not see my website.  Is this going to be changed?  Please let me know what I can do to see the website on an I Pad.  The same version that I would get from searching on a computer.

      Hey,

Your site uses the older Flash editor. Apple device do not support Flash, and therefor can only display the mobile site.

Please note that using an older technology, such as Flash, is less recommended.
HTML is a much superior technology which offers numerous advantages.
The most important one is that FLASH is not supported by Apple devices (iPhones, iPads etc), so people trying to visit your site from Apple devices will not be able to view the full site.
      Other advantages include:
      1. Better SEO (the technique used for ranking and finding your site in search engines such as Google and Bing).
      2. App Market (wonderful array of 3rd party applications to enhance your website and provide useful tools for you).
      3. HTML is faster
      4. Site history (the option to revert the site in case you made a mistake)

      5. An amazing new mobile editor and the Mobile action bar

To start your own HTML site, please click here.

HTML is a cutting edge technology which we are working to enhance and improve all the time, and add new and exciting features!

Please don't hesitate to contact us again. Nat
