    Hi,

I am creating a site where i am using buttons to link to email addresses, this works perfectly on my andriod device, but it doesn't seem to work with apple devices safari internet browser, as it bring up the link in a blank new page rather than linking it as a new email to the specific address. It works on google chrome on apple devices though :-( Please help :-)

      Hi,

      Thanks for replying.

This is a link to the site at the moment,

      http://paulharding7.wix.com/new-aja-website

it is published but not live. The issues are under contacts, there are several pages where we have put contact details for individuals under AJA members, council members and some in registered practices. When clicking on these (which aren't technically buttons, it is a link from a gallery) on apple devices when using safari only, it opens the link in a blank new page, it doesnt link it to an email. However when doing the same thing in google chrome on an apple device it works fine. So its just an issue with safari.
Apologies if this makes no sense.

      Hi,

It seems like you have no configuration in your Safari browser for opening e-mail links.

You can set up the configuration using the instructions here.

Please feel free to contact us in case you need further assistance.

      Hi,

We apologize for the confusion. Please follow the instructions here and it should hopefully resolve the issue. Please note that I just googled this for you and since this isn't Wix's information I cannot guarantee that it will work. If you're still experiencing difficulties after that, please contact Apple support, as they will be able to help you with Safari browser related issues.

      Thank you.

Mine is crap too. The home page is fine, but the page with the google calendar on it is white... unless you scroll to the right then you can view it. I have tried both mobile versions. Many of my followers are complaining that they cannot see the site at all. Quite frankly, I have had so many issues which in the end seem to point to a slow server on your end or something. I have deleted things on the site just to make it load faster. It is not my internet because the ping test I did today is showing 80+. I feel like your servers just aren't made for what I want. Off to post about the inability for folks to reply to my blogs now. Grrr... not happy with wix.

My mobile site shows blank page!

    Hi there,
Its been few days I have been using wix and working on to create http://microtechgroup.wix.com/nepal. The website is loading fine on my desktop but I am having problem to browse it on my symbian phone, I get a blank page (but title address of my website is shown on tab). I tried it to open on another android phone then it loaded the web version instead of mobile version. One of friend was also complaining me that the website is not loading on his android phoane. I wanted to know if symbian phones are not compatible to browse wix mobile sites or is there any problem with my website. I tried to browse few other wix websites too and got the same blank page.
    Waiting for reply!
    Thanks! :)

    Hi,

I am experiencing problems viewing my mobile website, http://l43113.wix.com/okobojientertainment from a phone. My website displays its mobile view when I am using my iPhone 5, but my friends who have Android (Samsung) phones don't see the mobile site....they see the full website. I have my Wix website linked to the app called Layar. It is an augmented reality app that allows a person to scan an object, in this case a little business card, and then it will take them to a site. The site that it takes them to is my Wix site but I want only my mobile view to be available for viewing. Can you please assist me in answering why my mobile site appears when using an iPhone but Android phones do not default in showing the optimized mobile viewing of my site.

    Thank you!

      Hi,

Using my Nexus 5 running Android 4.4.4 and encountered no issues.

Please ask the users what browser they are using on their phone.

In addition, what is the link that users receive from the scanner app? it may be different from your site link and the reason for the issue.

      Best regards

Okay, so we tried entering the full URL address for my Wix website in a browser on a Samsung Galaxy phone and it took us to my mobile site just fine; yay! However, no one is ever going to be viewing my Wix site that way. They will only be accessing it through the app called Layar. In my Layar program I have a web link that users click on that takes them to my Wix site. The URL address that the button in Layar is linked to is "http://l43113.wix.com/okobojientertainment". When Samsung Galaxy users click on the button to take them to my site it displays the full website and doesn't default to the mobile view. But yet the mobile view worked just fine when we manually entered in my site address on their phones. Suggestions? Thanks!

I've accessed your site via the address you sent us, not through the address in our logs and it loaded just the same. Can you please tell us what browser you are using to do that?

Hi, I have a similiar problem that you replied back to another poster's question. I currently have the Wix Premium site that is using Flash. I need to rebuild the site w/ the new HTML5 template so it would be compatible for mobil devices. Not sure exactly how to switch from the new site build once I’m done with it to make it go live. Do I just plug in the domain names and setting and such just like before? (I have my Domain/server through GoDaddy).

Do I then delete the old site? I won't be charged the annual fee that I already paid for the old flash site w/ the new rebuilt site? Thanks.

    [ Replied by shayb7 June 3, 2014

    Hey,

I can see that all your sites under your account are Flash sites. Please note that Flash is relatively an old technology and it is not supported in new apple and android devices.

If you wish to create a site which is mobile compatible, you will need to rebuild your site using the HTML Editor which automatically creates a mobile optimized version of your site from the contents of your desktop HTML site.

You can start building a new HTML site by either using a template or starting from scratch. For information about how to create a site from a template click here. For information about how to create a site from scratch click here.

      Hi,

Please note that premium users are charged per plan, not per site. This means you can transfer your new HTML5 Wix site to your existing premium account. You will not be charged extra at all for transferring the new site to an existing premium plan.

To move your premium status to another Wix site, simply click on Subscriptions > Premium Plans > Click on Transferunder Wix Site > choose the site you want the premium status to be transferred to.

Please note that you will have to attach your domain to your updated site. You can do it via the Domain Manager when clicking on Subscriptions > Domains -> Click Manage next to your domain -> Click Change next to "Wix Site" and choose the relevant site.

As for the old site, you don't need to delete it unless you want to.

Kind regards, Or - Wix Support Team.

    Hello,

I have problems with certain phones can not enter my entire website (www.ejderstedts.se yes, I am aware that there is a lot of data) for some can see everything while others only see the header.

We have tested with several different mobiles and some work error free and others not, we have also seen that these mobiles are of newer kinds (up to 2 years old models with both 3G and 4G) is updated to the latest vertionen both the operating system that the browser app .

We currently disabled mobiloptimeringen because we do not have time for it, so we are letting any visitor entering the regular site no matter the media (tablet, phone, computer), but we want to be self-evident to all who wish to visit our website shall see it, and not just the header

    What to do?

    Sincerely
