I have a flash site on Wix which I have had for almost 5 years plus a couple other sites on Wix which I have designed and activated in the last year.  The option to design a mobile site does not show up on the older site as it does on the newer sites.  How do I update the Wix editor to have this option?

      Hi,

The problem you're describing is actually due to the fact that flash isn't supported on apple mobile devices. It is currently not possible to create a similar mobile version of your flash site, and this feature is only available on HTML5 editor created sites. Note that you can add flash to HTML5 sites using the Flash app, Click here for instructions.

We made a site based on a flash template, because there is animation on the index. This is just a flash template and not html5. We want the mobile site to look just like the PC friendly site, but there is no mobile editor for us to work with. I see that I can create a mobile site, but the templates look extremely limited.

What can I do to make the mobile site exactly like the template?

Would the site be m.myurl.com instead of www.myurl.com?

We don't mind paying extra if an upgrade is the case.

    site: http://www.banditsroost.com/

    Thank you!

Thanks so much! One more question: If I am to make an HTML5 site, would I have to start all over from the Flash site, or can I transfer everything somehow?

      Hi,

It has been over a year since the release of our HTML Editor and keeping the Flash-to-HTML exporter up-to-date is interfering with the continuing development of our HTML platform. Therefore, we unfortunately can no longer continue supporting this tool. You can create an HTML site from one of our many great templates here.

Therefor, you'll have to start over completely.

Best regards, Miki- Wix Support Team

    Dear WIX

Im having an issue when saving from the mobile editor after adjusting layout and alignments.
The site is complete and published, and saves fine form the desktop editor. However the mobile editor becomes unresponsive and just says "Please wait while saving"

I have not had this issue on other sites. Do you think it's browser or content within the site causing this.
Please respond soonest - I have client wanting to go live.

    Hi Tom,

Thanks for responding. My mobile is an HTC VXOne. Here is the screenshot of the galleries that I can not access on my phone.

While it's not crucial that I can browse my galleries I do want to make sure that others can.

    Thanks,

    Mimi

      Hi Mimi,

I was able to access these galleries via my android phone without issue.

This is a good thing as it means the issue you are experiencing is probably local.

Please try using your phone's default browser to access your site, and let us know if the problem persists.

      Thanks,

    Hi,

Just tweaked the pages on the mobile editor and I see that my gallery sliders are not working. I saw a while back (December) where it was stated that the slideshow option had been deactivated for now. As I am a jewelry designer that is the main reason why I want people to click on my site. Is there any way for people to click on my Collections and see all the photos?

    Thanks,

      Hi Mimi ,

I checked your site and was unable to reproduce the issue. Is the problem occurring with a gallery on a specific page? With what mobile device are you experiencing this issue?

Please provide us with a screen shot of the problem. For instructions on how to take a screenshot, please use this link.

To upload the screenshot, simply click on the "Upload" button and follow the steps.

I've been updating a list on my site http://www.gallefort.lk/#!galle-fort-dining/cx35 which was working fine on the mobile version, but now the list is no longer loading on the mobile site. Instead I receive the error message "an error has occurred". Please let me know how to resolve this. Thanks.

    Hi!

I was using a couple "thumbail" style gallery slideshows in a page called PORTFOLIO on my website. These thumbnail style gallery slideshows show up perfectly on the desktop version, but when I publish the mobile version of my site and check it on mobile devices (iOS and Android), they do not show up... instead, all I see is a blank space where the thumbnail galleries are supposed to be! (I looked in the "Hidden Items" section of the mobile editor, but the slideshows are not in that Hidden Items section, so that's not the problem.) When using the mobile editor, I can click inside the blank space where the thumbnail slideshow is supposed to be, and an outlined blue box of the slideshow appears, but no content actually shows up. Again, this problem with the "thumbnail" style gallery seems to be directly linked to the mobile editor version and it's ONLY the "thumbnail" style gallery. I've put a regular slideshows in their place for now and they are working correctly on mobile devices, but I much prefer the thumbnail style slideshow and would like to use that instead! Please look into a fix, thanks!

    Hi!

I've got a couple slideshows on the "PORTFOLIO" page of my website. They show up perfectly on the desktop version, but when I checked the mobile version of my site this evening, the slideshows are not showing up in either the editor or in the published version... only a blank space where the slideshow used to be. (I checked in the Hidden Items section but the slideshows are not in that Hidden Items section.) When I click the apparently blank space, an outlined blue box of the slideshow appears, but still no content in the window. Again, this is ONLY in the mobile editor version of the "portfolio" page. The desktop editor reveals the slideshow pictures just fine.

It was working perfectly last night. I made a few changes to different sections of my site today (nothing unrelated to the slideshows) and republished... now I've run into this problem. I viewed my site on multiple mobile devices, including an iPhone and a Nexus 5 (android) device last night and everything was fine, but now the slideshows on the "portfolio" page are not showing up on mobile devices today.

Your help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hmm... ok, as a follow up, I'm now realizing that all "THUMBNAIL SLIDESHOWS" are not showing up in the MOBILE EDITOR of my site. Every other type of slideshow that I am currently using is working just fine, but all thumbnail slideshows are only showing up as blank space in the mobile editor. They are fine on the desktop editor, it's just the mobile editor that is no longer displaying any of my thumbnail slideshows.

Hope that specificity helps the WIX team as you guys are looking into this problem. Looking forward to hearing back with a solution soon! Thank you.

In the meantime, I've replaced the "thumbnail slideshows" in question on my portfolio page with just plain regular "slideshows" so that any visitors to our mobile site won't be greeted with a blank space instead of our thumbnail slideshows of pictures.

I've got the thumbnail slideshows that I'd rather be using at the very top of our unpublished "testing" page if you need to see them for reference. Thanks again! Hope to hear from you guys with a solution really soon!

    Hello again Wix Team,

I am completely failing in creating a Mobile website for our Page. It's been 10 months since we bought this domain and it has been active on web since then but my question is why do we have to create a website for Mobile!! Instead wix should like it our web page with the mobile page.

The formatting option of Mobile page will take me 100 years to format my mobile page & active it. I have two annual premium packages with Wix & for both the domains I am facing the same trouble.

I need you quick suggestion on how to optimise our Mobile site in the easiest & quickest way. Your formatting tools sometimes make me feel if I am a website designer and not a travel agent.

    Cheers..AS

      Hi,

Please note that the Mobile site automatically holds all of your site's content, so it really shouldn't take too long to arrange it. In many cases, the default mobile view layout may suffice. I suggest that you take a minute to go through our Mobile Editor Learning Center to learn more.

If you're not interested in the Mobile View, you can disable it. If you disable the Mobile View of your site, your desktop site will be displayed when visitors visit your site through a mobile device. You can toggle the Optimized Mobile View on/off at any time.

To disable the Optimized Mobile View:

      1. From the left side of the Mobile Editor, click the gear icon to open Mobile Settings.
      2. From Mobile Settings, click Mobile View.
      3. Click the toggle icon to disable the Optimized Mobile View.

The toggle icon will be marked red when the Optimized Mobile View is off and green when Optimized Mobile View is on.

      4. Click Done.

Your Optimized Mobile View is disabled.

If you require any further assistance in the future please don't hesitate to contact us again.
