The Mobile Action Bar is an add-on layer that appears when your site is accessed by a mobile device. Once activated, the Mobile Action Bar will allow your visitors to navigate your site with ease and to contact you directly with the click of a button via phone, email or Social Media.

To activate the Mobile Action Bar: From the left side of your Mobile Editor, click the Add Icon > click Mobile Action Bar.

Click the toggle to turn the Mobile Action Bar on (green) > edit your Mobile Action Bar settings and fill in the information that you want displayed (phone number/email address/physical address/Social Media profiles) > click Done.

    Hi,

What I believe is missing are simple instructions telling the mobile user how to use the MAB. For instance put MAB and page menu icons below the site logo on the loading page with simple instructions like "Press (MAB icon) to reveal menu icon" and "Press (menu icon) for site menu."

It is not intuitive the way it is.

    Thanks Steve

I implemented the mobile action bar to my site and this was a huge step backwards for wix.  I know I am not the only one who is complaining about this new add-on, it is not built for mobile.  You look at all the sites that people create for desktops and tablets and stick it on a screen not meant for that specific device. Its like using OS X on a iPhone, it won't work. To be honest with you wix this is your "Apple Maps", you intended to make the user experience great, but it turned out to be crap. Your original mobile offering was simple and direct and did the job for those who use our mobile site on a daily basis. All I am asking (like many others) to bring back the option to build a mobile site. I feel like many people including myself,  are considering moving platforms because this is literally alienating our mobile users, much like how you are alienating the designers of wix sites. I don't want to change platforms I like it here at wix, but if i can't give my mobile users a great experience then I need to leave.

Can You guys provide some kind of work around for the mean time, I mean seriously we need something to work with. What are "better" alternatives that we can use now to redirect our mobile users? ( And I don't mean the mobile action bar) ......Heres an idea how about you let wix premium users create a fresh wix mobile version of their website separate from their main site and Wix can connect it to their main site free of charge......unless you can just reactivate the create a mobile option.

We are currently developing more solutions for mobile, in addition to the Mobile Action Bar, and we'll release it as soon as it's ready. Unfortunately, I cannot provide you with an ETA on the release of this feature.

Wix HTML5 sites are accessible on all mobile devices. We recently introduced the  Mobile Action Bar™ which is an add-on layer that appears when your site is accessed from a mobile device.

      The  Mobile Action Bar™ is
compatible with the most popular interactions users have with a site that was reached while browsing from a mobile device . It provides a set of unique buttons designed for optimal display and performance on smartphones and mobile devices, they also support capabilities such as click to dial, click to email and more.

The Mobile action bar is a layer which appears on top of you original desktop site which is presented from mobile devices and by that enables maintaining only one site while enabling actions your visitors need the most.

If you have a Wix Mobile site and would like to view your HTML site with the Mobile Action Bar instead, you will first have to  delete your Wix Mobile site. For information about how to delete your Wix Mobile site, click  here.

Please note that once this is done your old Wix Mobile site  cannot be restored.

For more information about activating the mobile action bar, click  here.

is there a way to get the old version of the mobile site? I love the Mobile Action Bar but opening a desktop site in a mobile phone makes everything so small. I want my old mobile version back. Or I wish the fonts automatically become bigger when viewing on phones. :(

It's not allowing me to upload anything :(

Here is the link to the instructions - where the "add mobile site" is located (text and video).

I do not have the icon beside my site name, that they refer to in the first few seconds of the video

I have tried those steps, and when I test my work on my iphone, I see the same desktop layout on my phone (with a mobile menu on the bottom).

The desktop layout is horizontal, and the iphone is vertical, so the information (text and photos) is very small, and there are absolutely no changes other than the menu can be accessed by the buttons on the bottom of the screen.

am I missing something? or is this program is very limited?
