Wix offers an amazing feature which takes your HTML site and automatically creates an optimized version for mobile view. You can then edit your Mobile site using the Mobile Editor.

To switch to the Mobile Editor, simply click the Mobile icon at the top left of your Editor. From here you can change the placement and size of your elements, hide elements from your mobile site, create a Mobile Action Bar and even change the style of certain elements, such as text.

    Hi,

    I see that you have not created a WixMobile site.

    Please note that the HTML5 Wix sites can be viewed by mobile, but  are not optimized for mobile.

    They are meant to viewed by large screens (desktop computers and iPads and tablets).

    If you would like for your site to be viewed a bit better on your mobile, please stay within the page borders width-wise.

    If you created a site with the HTML5 editor, you will be able to access it on all mobile devices!

    If you have created a WixMobile site, please read below:WixMobile sites are optimized for the action oriented nature of Mobile browsing. Wix Mobile provides a set of unique templates specifically designed for optimal display and performance on smartphones and mobile devices, they also support capabilities such as click to dial, click to SMS etc. So even though Wix HTML5 sites can be viewed everywhere, we still recommend taking the few minutes to create a WixMobile site to boost your visitors’ user experience. If you do not create a WixMobile site, your HTML5 site will show up on smartphones and tablets.In other words, why create only one when you can have both!

    In order to start creating your site's mobile version simply go to "My Account" and switch to "List" view to see your Mobile Editor.

    Make sure you’re logged in to wix.com and start building your mobile site in minutes!1. CLICK the mobile image next to your Wix site in My Account2. CUSTOMIZE a beautiful mobile site template with ease3. PUBLISH & view instantly on iPhones, iPads, Androids, Blackberry (from version 6), etc!4. VISITORS from mobile devices will be auto-redirected to your mobile site

    Note that this is only the Alpha version! In the near future there will be more templates, backgrounds,galleries, videos & more!

    Hi Wix!

    I've got some questions about the mobile look.

    1 On my iPhone my site really looks crap. How come? Did I do something wrong? Is there something I can do besides building another (mobile) site? I thought the HTML5 promise was that it would look good, but would miss out on the direct-dial kinda features. But what I've got now is completely unrepresentative. What can I do?

    2 If I make a mobile site, do I have to start from scratch by choosing one of your basics? Or can I start rebuilding my HTML5 site into a mobile version?

    3 Do I have to buy the mobile site or is it part of my premium package?

    Regarding my HTML 5 site, It looks almost as I designed it. Two things:

    1 The brown background box is too large when you scroll down. In some pages you can scroll so far, that you fill the whole page with the background (for example the page 'film'). I want the scrolling to stop just underneath the other boxes.

    2 The app I used on the page 'referenties' does not show. It's simply not there...?!

    Greeting, OOGPUNT - Patrick

    @johnvanbeekum

    Please note that it happens because you have created a Wix Mobile site, and now all mobile users are redirected to that site.

    To delete your Wix Mobile site:

    1. Sign into wix.com and go to My Account.

    2. Select your site, and click on your mobile site tab.

    3. Click on 'Delete', and confirm.
    Your Wix Mobile site is deleted.

    I have a wix site <johnvanbeekum.wix.com/jvbweb> that shows up fine on desktop computers and iPads. On my iPhone, that same URL presents the Wix generic mobile website for a Makeup Artist. Does anyone know why this is happening? I have not made or attempted to make a mobile web site yet.

    @allaroundsoundsdj

    Simply copy your website URL and add it as a link. Click on "Add Links" -> "Any Link" and add your domain. Please make sure that if you are a premium user you add your own domain and if you are a free user simply insert your Wix domain. Make sure to also enter the full URL such aswww.mysite.com  and not just mysite.com.

    As for the logo - I see your logo (All Around Sounds DJ) correctly, please specify what is the problem.

    Please provide us with a screen shot of the problem. For instructions on how to take a screenshot, please use this link.

    To upload the screenshot, simply click on the "Upload" button and follow the steps.

    Am I able to mobile-optimize my Wix site?

    I don't want to do a Wix Mobile site as I have an app already that links to my Wix website, so I am wondering how to mobile optimize my existing site? WordPress and others automatically mobile optimize their sites/blogs -- does Wix and will you in the future? I would hate to switch sites...thanks!

    Hi Martine,

    If you upgrade and connect your domain name to your site properly, you will be able to view the gallery as it is intended to be seen on mobile devices.
