Wix offers an amazing feature which takes your HTML site and automatically creates an optimized version for mobile view. You can then edit your Mobile site using the Mobile Editor.

To switch to the Mobile Editor, simply click the Mobile icon at the top left of your Editor. From here you can change the placement and size of your elements, hide elements from your mobile site, create a Mobile Action Bar and even change the style of certain elements, such as text.

Before I delete my Mobile website, I just want to know if I will need to pay an additional fee to have my HTML show up on Mobile? I currently have my Premium package on my Flash website. There is no need for both correct?

      Hi,

When you create an HTML5 site using wix it can be viewed on smartphones and tablets, as well as on a computer.

If you have a flash site and you want it to be viewed on a mobile device you will need to create a mobile-site.

If you need any further assistance, please let us know.

I have a similar problem to Marina, in that my regular Wix site, when opened in a browser on my iPhone is not showing the full width of the page, but seemingly just what is within the gridlines. How do I move the gridlines so that the outer edges of the heading and menu bar are visible and useable?

    Thanks,

    Brina.

Please make sure all of your site's content is within the border of your Pages. Currently, the width of your site is fixed at 980px. This size was chosen in order to accommodate the largest number of internet users that will be visiting your site. This is common for the new generation of sites, as it ensures compatibility with the many different smart devices being used today (i.e. iPad users) where you only scroll up or down.

You can check for the width by clicking on the Gridlines icon at the top of the editor.

The yellow lines that appear on both sides of your site represent the 980 fixed width and your components should not exceed them.

Thanks for the prompt response. I am happy with the way my site looks on a computer screen so I don't really want to mess around changing it. To be honest, sometimes I do wonder why I chose to build my site with Wix. For everything that is simple and easy there seem to be an increasing amount of things that are really difficult/awkward/time-consuming.

      Hello,

Please review the following information regarding the Flash to HTML5 tool:

Please read the following notes before submitting your site (you can find all the notes here).

      1. Keep in mind that this tool is experimental and may not export the site like you wanted, this tool is designed to give you a head start in converting your Flash site to HTML5 but manual modifications are usually required afterwards.

      2. Once the site you submitted is exported, a copy of the site will be created in your Wix account (similar name but starting with html_name) The original site will not be affected! Also any premium package/domain connected will not be effected unless changed by you manually.

      3. Some of the features that are possible in Flash are not possible on the HTML5 editor at this stage. This means, things that are not possible in the HTML5 editor will not be copied into the exported sites.

      4. Please make sure to submit the Wix URL of your site regardless if its connected to a domain or not (www.wix.com/username/sitename)

      5. Once your exported copy was created, you are welcome to post your feedback on this thread. Please include the URL of the exported site for reference (the original URL would also help)

      6. If you have a premium package and want to transfer it to a new HTML site you can do that. For more information follow this link

Let us know if you encounter any more difficulties!

If you are referring to the gaps on your HTML5 site, antoniomaffei43.wix.com/dng-computer, please note that these gaps are in accordance with the width limitation and are set this way to fit viewing from different sized screens.

If you transfer your domain and premium package from your flash to your HTML5 site, you will be able to access the same HTML5 site from both a PC and a Mobile device.

If that is not what you are referring to, please let us know.

      Hey,

Right now the premium package is connected to your flash website. You need to switch it to your HTML website and only then connect your domain to the site.

You can transfer your premium package from one site to another located within the same account.

To transfer your Premium status to another site:

      1. Sign into Wix.com.
      2. Click My Account.
      3. Under My Account, next to Manage Premium, click Packages.
      4. From the Packages tab, under your Premium site, click Transfer.
      5. From the Transfer window that opens, mark the radio dial below the site that you would like to transfer to and click OK.

Your Premium package is transferred from one site to another.

Note: The upgrade features will be removed immediately from the previous Wix site/document you just 'transferred' the upgrade from.
For further information regarding the Manage Premium options click here.

Note: please remember to change all information under 'settings' in the editor such as SEO information.
You can change your domain in the domain manager. Click on "My account" -> "Manage Premium" -> "Domains".

For more information click here .

Simply copy your website URL and add it as a link on one of the pages (Home or Get in Touch for example). Click on "Add Links" > "Any Link" and add your domain name.

      Hi skolodzinski21,

I understand you're having trouble viewing your site on mobile devices.

Please make sure all of your site's content is within the border of your Pages. Currently, the width of your site is fixed at 980px. The yellow lines that appear on both sides of your site represent the 980 fixed width and your components should not exceed them.
