Wix offers an amazing feature which takes your HTML site and automatically creates an optimized version for mobile view. You can then edit your Mobile site using the Mobile Editor.

To switch to the Mobile Editor, simply click the Mobile icon at the top left of your Editor. From here you can change the placement and size of your elements, hide elements from your mobile site, create a Mobile Action Bar and even change the style of certain elements, such as text.

    Hi,

My current website before publish is: http://easoncho5.wix.com/synergyonecorp but somehow it is non-mobile friendly. How could I make this possible? Would greatly appreciate if someone could really guide me through as our clients are complaining that it is non-mobile friendly and might cancel the project in working with us.

    Thanks!

      Hi,

The Optimized Mobile View is available to everyone, free and Premium users, so there is no need to upgrade in order to use it.

As for your site, I browsed it using an Android mobile device and it is mobile friendly and looks great:

Please specify your mobile device model and browser and provide us a screenshot of  your site on it, so we'll be able to further assist.

To upload the screenshot, use the tool bar above:

      Thank you for your cooperation,

HELP! I'm so frustrated.  To create a mobile site, the instructions are as follows:

"To navigate through your mobile site pages:

    1. From the left side of the Mobile Editor, click the page icon to open Pages."

The problem is, I don't even have that option as there is no Mobile Editor button to click.

    Please help.

      Hey,

I can see that you have two Flash Wix sites (sisaat and sisaat1) and one HTML site (invitations). Please note that the Optimized Mobile View feature is available with HTML sites only. If you are unable to enter your mobile editor of your HTML site, please let us know.

As for your Flash sites, please note that Flash is relatively an old technology, it is not supported in new apple and android devices and will soon become irrelevant.

The HTML5 platform on the other hand, is what seems to be the leading platform for websites in the near future. In addition HTML5 is faster, better optimized for search engines, and gives a more professional look to the site. The site structure is a lot better, and it allows apps - which aren't available on flash here at Wix.

You can start building a new HTML site by either using a template or starting from scratch. For information about how to create a site from a template click here. For information about how to create a site from scratch click here.

If you need any further assistance, please let us know.

      Hi,

Tenco T612 isn't a smartphone so it may not support all the HTML5 websites. What LG Phone model are you using? If it uses an Android operating system, you can clear its cache using this link.

      Hey Melissa,

Thank you for contacting Wix support.

Please note that I have accessed all 3 domains using my iPhone 5 and I was able to replicate the issue in which you have reported. It seems that the only domain in which redirects to your site on mobile is theladybugfarm.com.

According to our investigation, we can see that yesterday, June 11th, you have redirected both domains ladybug.farm and theladybugfarm.com to your main domain ladybugfarm.farm.

Please be informed that we have done the redirection once again to make sure it will work, hence please allow up to 24 hours for changes to take effect (propagate).

Please follow up in 24 hours and verify that both domains ladybug.farm and theladybugfarm.com are being redirected to your main domain ladybugfarm.farm.

Please let us know should you encounter any further issues so that we can investigate it accordingly.

Best Regards, Nati - Wix Support Team

Thanks for your work on this, Nati. Several of us have tried to access www.theladybugfarm.com on our iPhone 5s and are still unable to do that so not sure how you are seeing it. And, of course, we cannot see either of the other two domains. I will wait patiently and hope what you have done fixes the problem. Thank you, Melissa

      Hey,

Thank you for the patience and understanding,

The formal down time due to the propagation process is in fact 72 hours, usually it doesn't take that long but it can so please allow more time to pass.

Let us know if any issues arise.

All the best, Dean - Wix Team

      Hey Melissa,

As per your response here, please note that I am able to login to your site using both domains ladybug.farm and theladybugfarm.com as they are being redirected to your main domain ladybugfarm.farm successfully.

Please try clearing the cache from the Safari on your iPhone 5, then re-try to access your site using the domains.

Cache is temporary storage space on your device where recently viewed Web pages are held. Cache allows Safari to quickly load a previously visited page without having to reload the entire page and its images from the Web server on subsequent visits.

First select the Settings icon, normally located towards the top of your iPhone Home Screen.

Your iOS Settings menu should now be displayed. Scroll down until you see the choice labeled Safari. Select Safari.

Safari's Settings should now be displayed on your iPhone. To continue deleting the browser's cache, select the option labeled Clear Cache.

A confirmation message will now appear on your screen. To continue with deleting Safari's cache, select Clear Cache.

Please let us know should the issue continues to occur so we can investigate it accordingly.

In addition, please provide us with a screen shot of the problem.

      To do so:

      1. Hold down the power button at the 'top' of the iPhone.

      2. While holding down the power button, quickly press the screen button at the bottom of the pad.

You can find step by step instructions here for how to upload a screenshot to the forum.

      Thank you.

    Mobile and Desktop Website?

I'm getting the design I like down for the desktop but when I switch to the mobile version it moves my buttons around and when I readjust for the mobile version it throws the buttons off for the desktop view.

Is there anyway to set up a Desktop Version and Mobile Version? I'd like for the mobile version to open up from a smart phone or tablet and the desktop version to open up when you access it from a desktop view.

    Hi Or,

I'm writing because last time I checked in with you guys, you did not offer support for mobile versions of sites when they had landing pages that led to different versions of the site.  Like my site.  The issue, if I remember correctly, was that one version of the site uses buttons and one uses a menu, and the mobile version builds from the menu but it shouldn't be present on all versions of the sites, as the other two versions have buttons in place of a menu.  Has this since been resolved?

    Many thanks,

    Jess

      Hi Jess,

I am not sure what you mean. You have an html site which is by default mobile friendly. You have the option to display it as your desktop site or to show the mobile optimized version which shows are more convenient menu and also allows you to modify your mobile site. In addition you can also add a mobile action bar.

An answer to this topic can be found in What is the Mobile Action Bar?

      Hi Ritti,

That's what I mean.  In order to show the mobile optimized version, I need to show the menu for the middle version of my site (Higher Education Institutions).  But I need the menu to be OFF for the other two versions from the landing page (Corporate & Schools) as they operate via buttons. If the menu is on for those versions, it leads to pages from the Higher Ed version of the site.  I've attached a few screenshots, the first from the corporate version, the 2nd from HEI.  Obviously in the screenshots there is not a menu, but I would need to have it on in order for the HEI version to operate properly.

      Thanks!wix landing page.docx

      Hi there,

If I understand correctly, from your landing page stem 3 different sections: Corporate, HEI and HS&ESL. You wish for the mobile menu to appear on all the HEI pages of your mobile optimized site and not on Corporate or HS&ESL pages, correct?

In this case I'm afraid the mobile menu element can only appear on all pages or on none. That's how this feature is designed, unfortunately. You'll need to make buttons for the HEI section in the desktop site and have them appear on your mobile optimized version of your site.

Sorry for this inconvenience, please let us know if I missed your question,

      - Daniel M, Wix team.

    Hello

I've tried everything and for one of my sites (which is a flash site) it does not have the "Mobile Site" button on the left side. I do have the button on other Wix sites I have.

I have tried to clear the cache and use different browsers and only that one site doesn't have the button to create a mobile site.

How can I create a mobile site for it?

      Hi,

You have a flash site. This tutorial is for the HTML5 editor. However the "edit" you are referring to is one step after clicking "manage and edit".

In order to create a mobile site for flash users you simply have to click on "mobile site" on the left hand site in the very same window you see the "edit" button.

We strongly suggest to create an HTML5 site which is more up to date and fully mobile compatible.

      Hi,

You have a flash site - which is not mobile friendly. In order to have a mobile friendly site we suggest to rebuild your site with the HTML5 editor. This way  your site will be mobile friendly by default. In addition you will be able to edit your mobile site via the dedicated mobile editor.

An answer to this topic can be found in HTML5 on Wix
