Hi, I have a similiar problem that you replied back to another poster's question. I currently have the Wix Premium site that is using Flash. I need to rebuild the site w/ the new HTML5 template so it would be compatible for mobil devices. Not sure exactly how to switch from the new site build once I’m done with it to make it go live. Do I just plug in the domain names and setting and such just like before? (I have my Domain/server through GoDaddy).

Do I then delete the old site? I won't be charged the annual fee that I already paid for the old flash site w/ the new rebuilt site? Thanks.

    Hey,

I can see that all your sites under your account are Flash sites. Please note that Flash is relatively an old technology and it is not supported in new apple and android devices.

If you wish to create a site which is mobile compatible, you will need to rebuild your site using the HTML Editor which automatically creates a mobile optimized version of your site from the contents of your desktop HTML site.

You can start building a new HTML site by either using a template or starting from scratch. For information about how to create a site from a template click here. For information about how to create a site from scratch click here.

      Hi,

Please note that premium users are charged per plan, not per site. This means you can transfer your new HTML5 Wix site to your existing premium account. You will not be charged extra at all for transferring the new site to an existing premium plan.

To move your premium status to another Wix site, simply click on Subscriptions > Premium Plans > Click on Transferunder Wix Site > choose the site you want the premium status to be transferred to.

Please note that you will have to attach your domain to your updated site. You can do it via the Domain Manager when clicking on Subscriptions > Domains -> Click Manage next to your domain -> Click Change next to "Wix Site" and choose the relevant site.

As for the old site, you don't need to delete it unless you want to.

All the best, Or - Wix support team.

      Hi  cjuliadesign,

Thank you for contacting Wix support.

I can see that you added this component using the HTML App.

Keep in mind that by adding external HTML code you are adding products and code that we have not tested or created in Wix, therefore our support team cannot answer any questions concerning the HTML iFrame/Embed App.

We recommend testing your code externally.

You can do this using sites such as the following:
      w3schools.com
      jsfiddle.net

You can try to reset the mobile layout to see if that helps but unfortunately, since this is external code, we cannot provide support for it.

Please let us know should you require further assistance.

Is the external HTML for the appointment widget? I wasn't necessarily referring to that for help. The screen shot was just showing how the site isn't coming up correctly on an iphone. The screen shot you included above shows everything and it isn't cut off. Why can't my client see that same mobile view? Also when they went to give feedback for the site I can't see what they wrote. Thanks for the help!

      Hey,

I was referring specifically to the HTML App since this is a component that may be problematic on mobile. Are the other pages not rendering correctly as well?

Could you please ask your client which browser they are using and what iPhone version.

Have you also tested on other devices?

Thanks and we await your reply

    Hello,

We are having trouble with our mobile website. The 'gallery page' on our HTML website isn't displaying properly on the mobile website and not sure why this is happening. Everything else appears to be working fine, it's just that particular page. Any idea what might be wrong?

    Many thanks,

    Michaela.

    Hi Barrios,

We are still having problems, the gallery page doesn't appear on my smart phone when I enter the website?

      Hi Michaela,

I apologize for the confusion. The changes to your gallery (from hidden to visible) have been saved and published so it is now reflected on your live site as well. I have tested it using 2 smart phones and it appears correctly.

Please let us know if you have any further questions we may assist you with.

      All the best, Ellie

I'm a little late on joining the HTML5 party. I know I created my site while using the Flash templates. Is there a shortcut for transferring all that information to an HTML format? Or, do I need to start from the beginning all over again? My website is gracefultorah.com. THANKS!

      Hey gracefultorah,

Unfortunately there is no way of converting your Flash site to HTML.

The great thing about our templates is that you can customize any template so completely that it can end up being any kind of website! For example, you can choose a template from the "Design" category and create a website for Accounting Services!

Browse through our templates on the "Templates" page of wix.com and choose any template that you like!

If you have any other questions, please let us know!

      Thank you,

      Hi,

After you will build a new HTML site, you will be able easily transfer your premium package to the new HTML site.

To move your premium status to another Wix site, simply click on "Packages" on the top bar on your "My Account" tab -> Click on "Transfer" under "Wix Site" -> choose the site you want the premium status to be transferred to.

Please note that you will have to attach your domain to your updated site. You can do it via the Domain Manager when clicking on "Domains" on the top bar on your "My Account" tab -> Click "Manage" next to your domain -> Click "Change" next to "Wix Site" and choose the relevant site.

You can find more information about premium packages here.
You can find a video tutorial about managing your premium account here.

      Hey mariadak,

Please note that your site isn't compatible with the Optimized Mobile View feature we just recently released, because it is only working with HTML5 sites. Your site is a Flash based site.

Please note that you can always start a new site in the HTML editor. To see our HTML5 templates, please click here.

A mobile-optimized site is automatically created for you from the contents of your desktop HTML website. After viewing and editing your mobile site in the Mobile Editor, activate Optimized Mobile View to direct your users to this optimized version of your website from smartphone devices.

New elements and changes that you make to your desktop site will affect your mobile site. Therefore, we highly recommend building and editing your desktop site to completion before editing your mobile site and enabling Optimized Mobile View.

Click here for more information or watch the video tutorial below.
