    gmail question

    Hi,

    I just opened the wix mailbox with my @domain.  But, when it kicked me over to google to create, it wouldn't let me use the @domain only gmail.  So, I set up the gmail account.  How do I connect them?

    Hi, 

    I purchased three emails and probably made ​​a mistake in their construction I filled in fact only one line. 

    All emails were registered under one address.

    We have a trouble for web's contact mail, we put in "joey.kao@embux.com" for received, but it doesn't receive message.

      To make sure that issue is not caused by MX records that are set correctly,please ask your e-mail host to send you MX records.

      Then, we can set the relevant records for you if this is indeed the cause of the issue.

    Hi, thanks for your mail.

    Here is the description of what I have done so far:

    My website is with wix, and the hosting with godaddy. I have attached the domain details screen shot so you can see .

    after completing the website, I then purchased the mailbox through wix, not through godaddy, and in the part where it asks you the e-mail provider, I selected google apps, as you can see in this screen shot.  However, when I click onto my gmail inbox, after having sent a test e-mail to info@annaloom.com i do not see the e-mail. Any suggestions very welcome on what I am doing wrong. Thanks, anna-lou

      I see that your Google Apps Mailbox has been set up and is ready. Please allow for up to 72 hours for changes to propagate when updating DNS records.

      72 hours has now passed since I updated the mailbox setting, yet still I am not getting any mails into my gmail account.

      Hi,

       

      If you purchased a Google Apps email through Wix, you can easy access and manage it from within your Wix account.

       

      To access your mailbox: Sign in to your Wix account > from the top menu, hover over Subscriptions > click Mailboxes > next to the relevant mailbox, click Manage.

      On the Mailbox Summary page, under Manage Settings, click Google Control Panel Settings > select an existing account or click Add account to add a new one.

       

      Note: If you already have a Google Apps account or a Gmail account, you may be asked, by default, to log in to that account. If this is not the correct account: click on Sign in with a different account > click Add Account > enter your full admin username- user@domain.com.
      You can find detailed instructions here.

       

      You can also sign into your mailbox directly through Gmail.com. Simply enter your entire Google Apps email address, including @mydomain.com, and your password.

    Can I use a mailbox e-mail when my domain name is through another provider?

    I have my domain name with Godaddy, and have my website with wix. 

    I have just purchased a mailbox e-mail through wix, and I am having trouble connecting it. Please could you give me some guidance on how to do this.

    Hello,

    I am trying to connect my crazy domain email to my six website, without any success. Can someone please help me out.

    I have been in contact with crazy domain and they have asked me to provide six with the following information:

    mail A record  = 163.47.73.225

    mx record  = mail.ecliptic.com.au

    GoDaddy email

    I am tying to connect my GoDaddy email to my Wix website. I have contacted GoDaddy and they have emailed me lots of numbers and letters (CN Names) but I have no idea how or where to update or edit. I've gone into the page on wix to edit, but there are 3 sections Wix need updating and I only have 2 provided by GoDaddy.

    I also need to change the SRV and TXT apparently? I have no idea what any of this means as I am no technological whizz (Hence why I chose Wix in the first place!)

    But I need my customers to be able to contact me via my website.

      No problem, we know the records are sometimes confusing :)

      Please send us a screenshot of the " numbers and letters" that GoDaddy sent you, so we can see them all and update them for you (do not send them as text, because then it gets messy and we can't read them well).

    Setting up new email hosting without affecting wix site.

    Hi there,

    I need some help to clarify how I proceed with the following:

    I have a client site hosted with wix: www.yourmohair.com. At the moment the domain is hosted with Fasthosts. Now, the email for this domain is hosted with another provider outwith fasthosts BUT, I will be transferring the email hosting to fasthosts very soon, so I will have the site hosted on wix, and the domain + email hosted with fasthosts.

    Following so far?

    Now I basically want to ensure a smooth transition when I do this. I don't want the site to go down at all, and I know I need to change nameservers which can affect things and so my real question is, what are the steps I need to follow or ensure in order to keep the site up and running during the email hosting transition?

      Hi,

       

      We are sorry for the delayed answer.

       

      We can see that currently this domain is not connected to Wix, becuase your pointing configuration in your registrar (not Wix, but your actual domain host) is incorrect. 

      To fix this, please follow the instructions here.

       

      Regarding the e-mail, please note that e-mail transfer is not supposed to affect the domain itself.

      In order to make the e-mail available, please ask your new host (after the e-mail transfer) to provide you with the relevant domain records that need to be updated.

      You can update the records using the instructions here or send us the records, so we can update them for you.

      Hi there,

      So to confirm firstly I should update my NS records to point to wix? And that would mean changing them to NS1.WIX.COM and NS2.WIX.COM? 

      Then secondly I purchase the email hosting package and afterwards I am to amend the MX records - what do I amend them to? 

      What I don't actually understand is the need to change the MX records here on wix, can you explain for me why this is the case? It's racking my brain!

      Once you obtain the full list of domain records from your domain host, you can send it to us and we will make sure they fit your current domain records.

    Hi, I already have a google email account which is bespokeconfections.team@gmail.com. How can I link this to my website? 

    I have already added this but when I click on to it doesn't go straight to a mail box?
