As soon as you click Publish inside the Editor, your site will be live and available online! You will be able to see your site instantly by browsing to your free site URL.

If you have connected your site to your own domain, please note that it might take up to 72 hours for your site to appear when browsing to your domain.

Note: Any time that you make changes through the Editor, you will need to publish your site again. Saving your changes is not sufficient to make the changes appear live.

Thank you for contacting Wix support.

I can see from our records that you published your Wix website on 8/16/14.

Please be aware that it can take from 1 to 3 months for Google to update its database and for your site to be indexed. Finding your site using your relevant keywords may take even more time.

One way to speed up this process is to submit your website directly to search engines.

You can submit your website directly to Google here.
You can submit your website directly to Bing here.

Wix guarantees that all of the text and meta tags on your site are being scanned by search engines, however we cannot guarantee that Google will choose to assign your website a high rank, this part is up to you.

Make sure that your websites content has been optimized in accordance with the advice offered in our SEO Learning Center. We also recommend that you use the SEO Wizard & Monitoring tool for a more in depth analysis of your site’s SEO.

Should you require further assistance, we are here for you.

      Thanks, Rony

    Dear Wix Team,

    Good day.

On 10/08/2014 I posted on a technical issue I was having with my site which I had published on that day.  I had received a response from Amir and followed his instructions.  Unfortunately, nothing has changed and I am still having the same problem.

When I physically enter my domain on a search engine (www.busylivingcy.com) you will see what appears below:

    Site Not Yet Published

Thanks for Visiting! This Site has not been published yet. Are you the owner of this website? Want to publish it? Login to your Create Account. Or read our handy help...

When I click on my domain link there is no problem .  The link leads me straight to my site.  However, for intended customers to physically type in my domain name and for the above to appear, does  not reflect well on my business.

I am really disappointed with this.  I have been very patient.  I had been intending on upgrading my package but due to this problem, I am very hesitant.

I would be very grateful if you could look into the matter and find a solution.

    Thanks & Best Regards,

      Hello Maria,

Thank you for contacting Wix support.

Please note that it takes a while for search engines to re-crawl your site and once they do they will update the description shown under the search result.

I can see that only Bing displays that unwanted description while Google displays the correct description.

This is the last cached  version by Bing and you can see that it was cached on 8/5/2014. As soon as it will crawl your site again it will update the description.

One way to speed up this process is to submit your website directly to search engines.

You can submit your website directly to Bing here.

Feel free to contact us should you require any further assistance.

      Kind regards, Amit

Please be aware that your Wix site has not yet been crawled and indexed by Google. I can see that published your site on Aug 15th. Please note that Google will not crawl and index your site immediately after you publish it. Your site does go live immediately after it is published, meaning it appears at your Wix domain, accessible by site visitors. However, this is different from your site appearing in search engine results.

Your site will be crawled and indexed the next time Google updates its database. You can speed up the process by submitting it directly to Google (and other search engines), as mentioned previously.

To see if Google has indexed your website, as well as the last time your site was indexed i.e. to see a cached version of your website, enter your website’s URL with the word “cache:” before it in the Google search. For example, cache:www.mydomain.com. If your website comes up, this means Google has already indexed it.

Thank you for contacting Wix support.

I have checked your website and was able to view it perfectly on my end, as you can see at the screenshot below:

Please make sure to type your correct URL address. You can find your Wix URL by going to My Sites > you will see it next to the thumbnail of your site.
Please note that your Wix URL is made of username.wix.com/sitename

If you need any further assistance please let us know.

I am sorry you are experiencing difficulties. Which domain are you trying to connect to your premium site?

When connecting your domain to the Wix name servers there are two important steps that you must complete.

      1) Firstly you must go to Subscriptions > Domains) and add your domain.
For more information, please click here.

      2) Please contact your domain host and ask them to connect your domain via the name servers (ns1.wix.com & ns2.wix.com).
Both of these steps are essential and the omission of either will result in a domain that’s not connected correctly.
You can troubleshoot your domain here.
Please make sure to firstly add your domain name under the Wix domain manager.

    Dear WIX Team,

    Good day.

I have published my site.  Kindly advise whether all is ok from your side and that within the 72 hour period my site will be available for viewing.  Currently when entering my domain: www.busylivingcy.com on an internet search it shows as "Site Not Yet Published" and gives a description of Wix and not a description of my business.

I would be very grateful for your kind assistance as I am keen for my site for be of view to the public.

    Awaiting your response.

    Many Thanks & Best Regards,

      Hello Maria,

Thank you for contacting Wix support.

I have visited your site and it is up and running!

In Windows, the operating system caches the DNS lookup for a domain name, linking it to a particular IP. Once the IP changes (for instance, when you connect your domain to Wix), Windows looks up the cached information that it has instead of looking up the new DNS settings for that domain name.

Refreshing the browser, and clearing the browser’s cache will not resolve the issue. Instead, please follow these steps (for a Windows environment only):

      1. Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt
      2. In the Command Prompt, type the following: ‘ipconfig /flushdns’

If you are using an Apple MAC environment, to flush the DNS:

      1. Open the Terminal. (Go > Utilities > Terminal).
      2. Type in the following: dscacheutil -flushcache

You can find more information here.

Feel free to contact us should you require any further assistance.

      Kind regards, Amit

      Hi Linda,

      Thanks for contacting us.

I can see you have recently connected your domain. Please note that after such a change, the domain is going into a propagation state. This means it might take up to 72 hours for the domain to be properly connected.

During this period, common issues are double www sets (www.www.domain.com), domain redirecting to free site URL, or domain available on some platforms only. All of these problems are symptoms of the propagation state. On my end, for example, your site already loads perfectly.

Regarding the Bio page, as you did not add a menu to your site - the only pages that are available are the ones you've displayed links to on your homepage: Nature, Editorial, Food and Sports.

To add a menu: From the left side of the Editor, click the Add icon > click Buttons & Menus > click Menu > drag the menu into place and resize it accordingly.

Don't hesitate to contact us again,
