Yes! You can publish your site at any time and come back later to add additional changes. If you are still working on a certain page, you can hide it from your menu and from search engines.

To hide a page from your menu: From the left side of the Editor, click the Pages icon > click the Settings wheel for the relevant page > in the Settings and SEO window, check the box next to Hide from menu > click Done.

To hide a page from search engines: From the left side of the Editor, click the Pages icon > next to the relevant page, click the Settings wheel > under SEO Page Settings, check the box next to Hide page from search results

Note: Make sure that you don't have any buttons on your site linking to this page.

my site acts as a digital magazine. While one issue is published, I need to work on the next month's issue. Suggestions?

      Hi maqm197,

Thank you for contacting Wix support.

Have you read the above best reply?

Hiding your unready pages is a great way to deal with the situation you're describing.

You can also duplicate your site and work on the new issue there and simply publish it when ready.

If you require any further assistance, feel free to contact us again.

I have my website up through WIX and am making changes, some of which I want to publish and others I want to keep from publishing until the changes are complete. How can I make the changes I want to show up without publishing all the pages on the website?

I should mention that some of the things I don't want published are on the same page as other things I don't want published.

    Thank you,

I published the first page of my website today. www.revalertapeten.com

But it only shows the background and the icons of Facebook and Blog.

Why cannot I see the text, which I added on the background?

I also removed the Blog icon - but it is still there. What could I do to see the website as I created it?

Thank you already in advance for your reply!

      Hey Kadri ,

I checked your site via editor and live and I was unable to see any differences between the two. The text appears on your live site.

Please clear your browser's cache. You can find step by step instructions here.

You can publish even as a free member, if you wish to upgrade in order to remove Wix ads, activate the store or connect a domain that is when you pay (if you wish to upgrade).

Please tell us, what are you trying to copy and paste, is it text?

    I need some assistance....

I'm still working on my site and it is pretty much close to completion.  I have already have menus, headers and footers set-up.  I need a 'Coming Soon/Under Construction' Page temporarily while I finish the site.

How can I accomplish such WITHOUT including headers/footers?  I would not like to remove any of it just for the "Under Construction" page as there is a lot of work already included in those areas.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to have a page on your website that is not showing the footer/header area.

Is it possible to create a new one with different template and use that new template while continuing working on the template with the full blown website?  If it is, how?  Can the template with the domain already linked to wix be rename temp and use the new template with the name of the template already linked?

I look in the tutorials, but could not find anything in that perspective....

Thanks, I'm looking for alternatives.  It is unfortunate that there is no feature within the template with work in progress to have a blank page (Under construction) already built in.  As this is quite common.

      Thanks again.

      You have two options:

      1. Keep your original template and add text message: '  Under construction '.

To do so, please add a new page to your site, this page will be the first page.

Remove the menu buttons from your site, this way your  visitors will not be able to navigate through your site and will see only the first page.

      2. You can create a temp site and connect it temporary to your domain name.

You can transfer your premium package from one site to another located within the same account.

To transfer your Premium status to another site:

      1. Sign into  Wix.com.
      2. Click  My Account.
      3. From  My Account, next to  Manage Premium,  click  Packages.
      4. Under your Premium site, click  Transfer.
      5. From the  Transfer window that opens, mark the radio dial below the site that you would like to transfer to and click  OK.

Your Premium package is transferred from one site to another.

      • If you have published your site but it is still not ready, you can place a notification on your home page and say it is under construction. When users enter the website that will be the page they see! Make sure you do not add any menus or buttons. This way when users view your page, they will not be able to navigate to any other pages.

If you don't want your site to be visible to search engines, you can unpublish it by going to Settings > SEO > uncheck the box “Allow search engines find my site”.

Once you have unchecked “Allow search engines find my” be sure to Save your document!

However, please be aware that if the site has already been indexed, it will take about one month for search engines to update their databases.

For important points to keep in mind when optimizing your Wix website, check out these links here and here.

I can see that you don't have a Premium package yet. If you intend to upgrade your site, it is indeed most recommended to purchase the upgrade when the site is completed and ready to go live!

To upgrade your document, please go to  My Account > click  Upgrade your site under the site you want to upgrade.

You can find more information about how to upgrade and about Manage Premium  here.

If you need any further assistance, please let us know!
